Been going here for a couple of months and have been very satisfied with these guys. Easy to book online and they keep each haircut appointment on time so I’m not waiting forever to get a cut. Very friendly service and you can really tell they pay close attention to detail with each cut. If you don’t know what style to go with you can even get good advice for a fresh new look!

I don't write reviews often, but I needed to give Freddy a shoutout for the best haircut I've had in a very long time! I've been to a handful of other barbershops that usually provided excellent service, but I recently felt their cuts were very rushed and the quality just wasn't the same. I'm not sure if the pandemic has forced some shops to squeeze in more customers per hour, but I felt it was time to move on and I'm thankful that I was nearby The Pit! From the beginning to the end, I felt so well taken care of. Freddy's skill, attention to detail, and hospitality were above and beyond what I could have asked for. Thanks again Freddy, keep doing your thing brother!

Went for my first cut a couple days back. I was due for a fresh new cut. The online booking was seamless. Freddy looked at my mop and knew exactly what to do with it. He gave me a new slick look with a well trimmed beard and fade. Freddy was very welcoming, chill, and we had a good chat...just like you would want at the barber shop...life and sports. Loved my experience here. I highly recommend checking it out. Thanks Freddy!

These guys get it right the first time! Even with wavy hair full of cowlicks. Great cut, fade and atmosphere. I’ve been cut by both. No issues with the cuts at all. Well priced too!

Before coming to this shop, I used to go to another barber who always gave me a great haircut downtown - it was worth the trip. In a moment of impulsivity, I went to a different barber where the reviews were... mixed. The haircut I was receiving was so bad I half-believed it to be a dream (nightmare). I asked her to take the guard off the razor and get rid of it all. The slick-back top with a fade now donned the sobriquet of "sad-all-over stubble." After several months, I was finally ready for a haircut and the early reviews of this place a mere stone's throw away from my house were 5-stars. I walk in and it's France - the guy who reliably did right by my hair! Turns out he opened up his own place with his cousin, Freddy. We had a good laugh about my experience (my hair certainly was a joke walking in). I now look like myself again and the quality of the service was undeniably worth the price. This is my new haunt for a haircut in perpetuity; my faith in barbers is restored. Cheers guys, see you soon and good luck moving forward.

It’s hard to find a barber that you can trust to give you a fantastic haircut every time you head in. I’ve lived in Vancouver for a decade and it wasn’t until I started going to the Pit about 8 months ago that I finally found barbers that I know will do a great job every time. Both Freddy and France are at the top of their craft, and are also just great guys to talk to while you’re getting a cut. Highly recommend giving them a visit.

Besides France's skill and the good haircut that I got from him which are obvious from many other comments, I'd like to focus on how he is great at patiently listening to what you have in mind to get the end result you want. Many barbers I've been to are not so good at this, probably thinking that they, being the professional, know much more about your hair than you do and how it should be done. In my experience with France, I feel that he highly values your thoughts and shows that he loves hearing them out. I believe that the importance he gives to this kind of communication greatly helps in delivering a great job that you will love. Two thumbs up! I will surely be back.

Went in on Friday past the closing time and they managed to fit me in. Not a lot of businesses would do that. Hair cut was clean and exactly what I wanted. I have to say that I have received more compliments on my hair then any previous hair cut. Highly recommend the barbershop.
