I rolled in on a Monday, mid-morning, on my way through. James reviewed the pics I kept of my head from my last pro, asked a few questions for clarity and preference, and began working. We chatted about this and that, probably the weather as well, with only minor interruptions for the work at hand. He recommended a more natural pomade for style instead of the old-school stuff I've been using. All in all, it was a very professional job in a very short time, the price was very reasonable, and my biggest critic was pleased as well. I'll be back.

I had been hunting for a barber for about a year now before walking passed this place one day. Great experience, great cut, really nice fade work. Guys have a good sense of humor and the prices are excellent. Easy to access by train or bus and lots to do nearby before or after a fresh cut.

I’ve been on the hunt for a barber for a while now and have had some decent haircuts but nothing that made me want to stay. I went here because they came up under top rated and I was not disappointed. James took his time with my hair and zeroed in on every little detail. I was extremely impressed with his dedication and patience as he gave me the best fade I’ve ever gotten. I was so impressed I went ahead and asked him to trim my beard which I really don’t like letting other people touch, but again I was not disappointed. I look damn good right now and I’m definitely going to come back.

Some hair on my head would just come back and puff, chemo treatment number #.... would wash it down the drain. Now however, (THANK YOU BC CANCER YOU ARE AWESOME!!!) chemo treatments are complete and iHave a head of soft hair growing back :-)) Shall we say!!! Would you go to barber who gives you this? (See photos). My son went to get a haircut today and ended up with multiple wounds! The barber was extremely aggressive and he did not listen to what my child wanted. I wasn’t in the salon at the time and I got stunned when I saw those marks! I guess the pictures speak more than a thousand words. No need to say more.

Have been coming to this location for a couple of years now to cut my child's hair. The barbershop at this location was previously called Manny's Barbershop. Got in right away, and James (one of the new owners was able to do a good job replicating a photo style that I had shown him. Cost was reasonable for a boys haircut. As the location is good for me, I'll continue to bring my child here.

It was not my intent to offend but to point out that it may be good practice to tell a customer that their hair is long/meets a threshold/requires a surcharge before a haircut. As a customer, I am not sure what meets your threshold of "long" - this is subjective. I also don't generally have long hair, and have never been charged extra in the past, hence my surprise. I hope this makes sense. At any rate, as I mentioned, I paid my fee and went on my way. I wish you much health and success in your endeavours. Take care. Original Review: I've been coming here for a bit more than a year. I've always found everyone very pleasant to deal with, and the cut to be decent value for money. I was put off slightly with my last haircut when I was informed after the cut that I'd be charged a $5 surcharge due to having longer hair. This has never happened in the past, and I've come here with my hair with similar length before. To clarify, my hair is not straight/long down to my shoulders - it's just thick. Normally, I have no issues paying extra, but I was slightly annoyed that I was advised of the charge *after* my haircut and not before. I accept my hair is quite thick; unfortunately, due to COVID, I haven't been able to get haircuts as often as I'd want to. Otherwise, the haircut was fine, I paid my surcharge + tip and went on my way.
