I arrived as a walk-in and was seated within a reasonable amount of time. The cut was reasonably priced at $20. The staff seemed generally courteous. Although I wasn't clear in my explanation of the cut that I wanted, my barber did a great job. Unfortunately, my experience was soured by the other barber who made a comment about a previous client. After a previous client had left, the other barber made a homophobic comment referring to the previous client. I was quite uncomfortable for the rest of my session. Bottom line: Unfortunately, regardless of the pricing or quality of cuts, I cannot under good faith recommend this store given the derogatory nature with which the other barber referred to his clients.

I'm 52 and have been going here since I was a kid. Ben and the other barbers still deliver the best haircut in the entire GTA and it's a COMPLETE haircut. Great group of guys at Southgate. Always have a few laughs there too. It's like a comedy club with a haircut thrown in! Ben didn't make me look like David Beckham but I did come out with a better hair cut.

I came late one time and they were gracious enough to cut my hair. They did a masterful Job (with the amount of hair that I have there isn't much that can be done). I do like the atmosphere and they do give very good customer service. The price is more than fair and i'm very satisfied with this place. I recommend this place to anyone that needs to get a haircut.

I'm just amazed with the service I get. I have been their customer for 14 years now. They got great barbers like Ben, Danny and Carlos. Danny's been doing my hair since I was a kid and never failed to amazed me with his expertises. He listens and tries his level best to meet your expectations. Today I went there for haircut, It was the worst experience I ever had in my life. The carlos was the guy who did the haircut and he was so rude and was not ready to listen. He just spend like 10 min on my hair and did so fast and I showed him the pic and it's not even looking little bit same. I am so much disappointed and never recommend to anyone to go this place and they charged like 30$ just for their poor service.

There's this new Arab barber...bro, he messed up my bangs. I told him not to touch it and just cut everything else and this guy pulls it to the side and fades it. My angular fringe became a bridge! I told him to fix it and make it fringe to the left and he's like ok and cuts half the length of my bangs straight! I had to stop him and out of respect, I just told him it's good enough when it looked so ugly. I had to go home and cut a large amount of my bangs just for a fringe and I'm not the best of cutters either...

I went in after I saw the google ratings, the place seemed clean and all the barbers were middle age men who looked like they know what they are doing. I told my barber Carlos that I have a very simply hairstyle and it’s nothing complicated. I showed him my own pic from my phone with the kind of haircut I had in the past. These guys have a pre-conceived notion that anyone showing a pic from their phone is only going to ask for a celebrity hairstyle because someone in the room said ,”I hope it’s not David Beckham’s pic” as soon as I got my phone out which was very weird. Plus it’s evident from the way the owner has replied so toxicly to one such negative review about David Beckham’s hairstyle request. Carlos messed up my hair with a razor blade. I had to tell him to CALM DOWN as this guy was losing his mind over the way I wanted him to cut my hair. He needs to listen to his clients and not try to shove his own style on people. I will never recommend this place to anyone as I think this place can only do justice to people with very less hair left on their heads. Oh and I’m also expecting a very negative response from the owner as this place can’t digest truthful remarks.

Best place and only one I will go to. Fast cuts and the guys working are hallarious. Instead of a buzzer lineup they pull out the flat razor and shaving cream. Makes it feel like a fresh Oldskool cut.... Definitely won't be changing barbers unless I leave Brampton. And even then, it's worth the drive back

How I've managed to overlook this barber shop for so long is a mystery to me! I've been all over town to various places and have ended up with very mixed results. The Southgate Barber Shop is just that - a barber shop! Phil, who cut my hair, and the rest of the staff are extremely professional and rather fussy about cutting my hair. It's been over a year since I've had my last hair cut and I went in looking like Ozzie Osbourne. I came out looking more like John Fogerty, which was amazing! I'm most pleased with the results and greatly appreciate the skill and patience taken to make this transformation. I most definitely intend to continue going there and highly recommend this amazing shop! Good onya guys!

These gentlemen know what they’re doing, I was in and out in 20 minutes. Nice clean cut, and straight razor line up. Went in asking to look like David Beckham for my dinner date, and I came out looking like Brad Pitt. Like oceans 11 Brad not Brad after Bradgelina break up. Gettin it, thanks boys!

Great place to get a quality hair cut for $20. Also, everyone can cut really well so barely any wait times. Staff is friendly and polite, definitely will come back again. Note: no frills is next door so while I got my hair cut my wife did grocery, we both finished st the same time. I'd call that 2 birds with 1 stone.
