I was a bit nervous going for a haircut in Brampton at a place that seems to specialize in fades. My worries quickly vanished when I arrived at Jake’s. He has got a really funny and friendly team of barbers that made me feel welcome. I can’t wait to bring my brothers for a cut here.

After visiting many barbers over the years, this is finally my go-to place. I am a very picky person, especially when it comes to haircuts. From all the barbers I have visited, Jason is the BEST barber around. All of my other barbers I stopped visiting, because over time, they became more lazy, and paid less attention to details. Jason takes his time and is VERY meticulous with his work. Some of my haircuts have lasted an hour: I have never been to a barber who pays as much attention as him. I also brought in my dad today for his first visit to a barber in 15+ years for a beard edge up. Jason delivered an unbelievable shape up, and my dad was very pleased (and he's a very hard to please person). I recommend everyone to give Jason a try (even though the prices are a bit on the higher side), you will not be disappointed.

One of the most ridiculous barber is Rax . Absolutely he have no idea of what he does or how to do a haircut. There are others who are expert and seems this guy is learning from them and looks half confused. Pathetic experience . If you go to this place refrain of having a haircut from him.

Zan is my son’s barber for over a year now. He is meticulous!!! I am always pleased with his work. I am a difficult person to please, as tiny details matter to me. Zero complaints with Zan. He listens and gives you exactly what you ask for. He is skilled and takes pride in his work. While waiting for my son, I’ve watched the other guys work. I’ve never seen any of them rush. They all take pride in their work. Check out the shop, book an appointment, you will not be disappointed.

Jordan is top notch with his haircuts and I always enjoy his jokes and commentary during my cut. I have been to many different barbers and salons and they always seem to miss the mark when cutting my hair and I am never really satisfied with anyone else. Especially now that prices of some of these shops keep going up. Jake and the rest of the gang at the shop always make you feel welcomed and love to laugh and are always cracking jokes. I live in Maple, ON and are always willing to drive all the way to Brampton to get a haircut from Jordan and chill out with the team at Jakes Barber Shop. They really make you fell welcomed there and to have that feeling of coming into a business and not feeling like a number is super important to me. You guys rock! Jordan, keep up the good work!

I was not greeted when I entered, and because of it I had to wait 15 minutes until I was acknowledged and I could get my haircut. Did not feel like a professional atmosphere. Keep in mind this is a cash-only barber. I will not be returning.

Jake is not a professional. If you’re late for your haircut he will hang up on you and even if you wanted to book another appointment he won’t answer the phone. Poor customer service and conflict resolution since I had to go and apologize. If you want a haircut, book with one of the other barbers. If you want a permanent barber, look elsewhere.

I am a frequent customer , i am here almost every-other week. One of the best barber shops in the city. Amazing service , funny and entertaining environment. I would highly recommend barber Kevin. He’s more than qualified and provides one if the cleanest fades and line ups I’ve ever seen . I can guarantee that if you get a cut from him , you’ll walk out feeling like a whole new person! If you want a cut , i would advise you to book an appointment in advance , because spots fill up fast!

Used to go to Al's @zanthebarber cut my hair when he was just starting out their and i never turned back i would wait there for him to cut my hair when he left i followed and I have never had one complaint. He always makes sure the cuts are perfect and the beard is lined up just right. Anyone that gets the chance should switch and get him to put his touch of style on.

Every staff member here is friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. I had my booking and my barber was not available at that time due to an emergency so one of the other barbers stayed a little longer to make sure I got my haircut! Love this place

When I got my first cut from Kevin, it was authentic, detailed and well crafted. I remember walking out feeling like a brand new person ( no joke). I booked an appointment with Tim for my son to have his hair cut. I had to reserve the appointment with a credit card. I received an email confirming that his appointment had been booked. Luckily I checked my email again late last night because I received another email that said the appointment was cancelled. There was no explanation as to why they cancelled it and they don't even have a phone number to contact them. In my opinion, the lack of courtesy is unprofessional and demonstrates how much they value customers. I will not waste my time trying to book an appointment with them again.

Jakes Barber Shop is without a doubt THE barber shop for all your needs. Jake, the man himself, used to sculpt my scalp, and as the seasons change, as do the needs of a man’s aesthetic. (I’m actually just bad at appointments), and so I found myself in the chair of another, Zan the Barber was the architect that built the image of who I am to this day. After getting my haircut and beard done from Kevin people have asked me several times where I go for my haircuts and I have told them to go to Kevin and they have never regretted it. I booked my appointment at 12 today with Jake, was right in time for my appointment. I was waiting till 12.45 and no one bothered to ask me about my appointment, Jake was inside and never bothered to come out till 12.45 when i was about to leave. i decided not to have my hair cut there. Why would you need reservation online system when you cannot keep up with that ? more over why do the barber accept only cash ? I personally feel any of the chain hair cut salon's have a far superior service than these so called barbers. Please remove all your fancy stuff from your website, it is worth nothing. Guy's going in there for the first time, please stay away.

So I'll start by saying that this was poor customer service at it's finest. I was referred to this shop by a friend so I decided to try it out, I was looking just do just a lineup so I figured I'd give it a shot without an appointment. When I walked in the store there was NO ONE at reception... Okay that's fine everyone is busy I'll give them the benefit of the doubt so I sat on the chair and waited to be approached. 15 minutes later, someone finally decided to come over to say, do you have an appointment? I said no and he then proceeded to tell me they are fully booked with appointments for the day... You mean to tell me, I sat there for 15 minutes just for them to tell me you they can't serve me??? What kind of business are they running here? Rest be assured I will never come back nor will I recommend or suggest someone to go. -Max Ps: After this experience, I walked into Upper Cut around the corner and had a WAY better experience. #UPPERCUT

This place needs to remove Kids Haircut from the services list. It is not kid friendly. After sitting in silence for 10 min, with a 6 year old, the guy running the place decides to put on music. Fine. But he didn't need it cranked up loud and it to be thug style hip hop. Probably not the best choice. I asked them to turn it down almost immediately with my kid covering their ears the shop vibrating like a pimped out Civic. Then I had to ask them to change it when the gunshots, mofos, b!tches, starting dropping like crazy. We almost left when approaching 30min past our appointment. Was getting up when they finally finished the guy ahead of us. Figured we might as well stay now. Haircut was alright, but I can get the same job done at Great Clips. And the haircutters talk to the kids. Not keep silent and manipulate the kids head as necessary. A little on the rough side too. Then when finished, I'm looking around for a desk or payment area of some sort. Nothing. Guy is just starring at me. I ask, you got debit/credit. Nope. Cash only. Now you tell me. Why don't you post that anywhere??? And why no phone number? Why only online bookings? With cash only? If you are late teens or twenty something and looking for a "cool (debatable) place" to get your hair and beard trimmed, then sure give em a try. Otherwise, I'd steer clear. It's obvious they only seeking a certain kind of clientele. I almost think the music was a hint hint that we didn't belong there.
