2018-08-08 Review of son's haircut AND Mum's haircut. My 9yo son normally goes to the "kid type" hairdressers, however we took a chance at going here (since they are down the street from us) and they gave my son the best haircut he has EVER had! Alex cut his hair. While I was there I decided to get my hair cut too, since I was hot (its 32 celsius right now) & I was fed up with my WAIST length, thick hair (if you did not catch it by the opening sentence of this review.....I am female). My hair is completely one length, no layers, no bangs/fringe - just thick, mainly straight (but with a small amount of natural wave at the neck) and Robin did a blunt-straight across cut for me that now sits just under my shoulder blades (so she cut approx. 9 inches off). Note for any women reading this....it was a semi-dry cut (she just used water from a spray bottle), I did not ask her to do a wash & cut. She did a great job, I am very happy. Both my son and I will go there again. And after seeing the results....so will my husband. What a great hidden gem this place is.

No customer service at all. Refused to see me 10 minutes earlier which is fine but then made me wait 30 minutes. No word of apology. And it's not the first time it happened. No disinfection between clients, airblowing is NOT disinfecting! , no cleaning instruments. they expect you to take you shoes off but hardly swipe the floor. Will not be using again. Shame on you.

Wierdest haircut I have ever had in my life. They wasted an entire razor blade just to clean the back of my neck, whilst they have an electric razor that could do the job. Used a vacuum cleaner right across my face & head to cleanup the loose hair! Couldn't even cut my hair without it falling into my face. The warm towel wrapped around your head & face is so bizarre and uncomfortable! The floor was covered in hair like they hadn't cleaned in days! Try again guys!

Been here a number of times and each time has been very pleasant up until this most recent experience. All I have to say is that if you need anything more complicated than a simple haircut or trim, DO NOT use Jasmine. All my other haircuts with Roland or the Owner (I forget his name) have been great but with Jasmine there is a clear language barrier where she may misunderstand what you want (even if you show a photo). Despite me describing what I wanted the same way I've described it multiple other times to other barbers, she seemed to really struggle understanding what I wanted despite nodding as if she understood and went on cutting my hair without clarifying or asking for specifics. I did my best to guide her but this ultimately ended in a disastrous lopsided undercut that will take weeks to regrow. I did my best to contain my dissatisfaction but I'm guessing it was showing as Roland invited me over to his chair after she had to call over her coworker to explain in her language what she thought I wanted. it was becoming clear to everyone in the room at this point that this wasn't turning out well. Roland did his best to salvage what he could of my hairstyle but ultimately I'll have to wait until next time. All this to say, lesson learned. Just stick to who you know and you'll be fine. In the end, they apologized and didn't make me pay (hence the 3 stars) which was fine. In my experience, while I could have been more preemptive knowing I was going to someone new to me and explained it with more detail, I think it is natural to want to trust someone who says they do this for a living and is a professional barber. I also think the onus is on them to make sure they understand what their client wants and not just guess their way through it, especially if it's clearly not looking great half way through.

Not just for men!!!! Bryan is an awesome hair stylist and has competed many times. Yes it is a barber shop and it's licensed so beer shave and a haircut about $50, but a haircut and beer is $29 + taxes. First come first served except Saturday Bryan takes appointments. There are 2-3 other barbers/hairstylists so waits are not too long. 2 big screen TV, coffee, other beverages. It's really a great place for women and men to go get your hair done. Want to give Dad a great gift?........give him a gift certificate for a relaxing shave, trim and a cold one of if he prefers a different non alcohol drink. I can't stop talking about it. Its aweome

I've found my new regular barber shop! I had my first visit there this past weekend and had a great experience. For their price you get soo much more then salons and other shops. He saw exactly how my hair was styled and knew what to do. Vac brush to pick up the loose hair, clean blade to shave the back of neck and then the hot towel to complete the service.

****First time here Probably one the least enjoyable haircut I had in a while. Althought Alex seems like a nice guy, tbh I'm not sure if it was his off day or something, but the haircut was horrible. He seemed like he was rushing it... I wore a toque before coming in so my hair was flat, and most barbers would wet it first to make sure they don't cut off the wrong things. Alex literally did none of that. He buzzed everything right off and everything was soooo uneven. I showed him a picture of what I looked like before and it was just a simple disconnected cut. Even the hair wash was very unpleasent because the water was cold... Unimpressed, wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

My friend recommended this place to me as I was looking for somewhere new and more than cheap place. Was a very good experience overall. Their waiting seats were almost full of people so I thought I'd be waiting for a long time. Turned out a few were waiting for their companions who were getting a haircut. Still had to wait for the duration of one haircut as 3 barbers went through 3 customers. My barber was pretty competent. I showed him a pic of one of cuts I liked from somewhere else I had and he ran with it. Neck hair shave with straight blade and hot towel was excellent end to the experience.
