It's been just under 20 years since I started going to Joe's Barber Shop... Tony (Joe's son) has help me out in a pinch (stayed back after hours, met me early in the morning, etc) MANY times!... he's a great guy to shoot the S#%t with while you're getting a cut too! :) I live in downtown Toronto now.. yet I still only go to Joe's (in Markham) each and every time I need my lid cleaned up! :P

***No appointment and Cash ONLY!** Definitely a place I would comeback to again. I usually go to a fancy barbershop that costs $$$. But they weren't available at all and my son needed a haircut. So I googled this place and called them up. Spoke to Joe and it was a first come first serve. We got there in 10 minutes. He was free! Thank goodness! Mind you it was at noon. My Son is shy and it took him 5 minutes to open up to Joe! He was great with my boy! 20 minutes later my son looked so snazzy!! I didnt have to explain anything to Joe. He just asked if I wanted it cleaned up and which way my boy parts his hair. At the end because my son was a good boy he got 2 lollipops! Thank you for the amazing experience... Toddler haircut and style cost $14

We've gone here a few times as our usual lady is sometimes booked up. I love the old Original chairs. From when they 1st opened. Im talking Very old chairs, in great shape even have the old cigarette tray on the arm rest! No smoking of course but They are so cool! They usually can get us in right away for a quick cut. They lady's are barbours and know what they are doing.

He cares about his work, took his time and gave me great tips about growing out my beard. Also, had a great conversation with him! the prices are fair for a barber shop. Friendly barber with regular clients, as you can tell with the conversations he made. It was my first time there, so he didn't really make small talk, luckily, I generally prefer not to talk while getting a haircut. There's a small room with a foosball table, wait time was somewhat long but he's the only staff there when I went. When I was there, he didn't have time between haircuts to even sweep - a lot of hair on the floor. Overall though, his equipment was clean and sanitized, seat was clean, and one of my better haircuts.

Really bad. The older blonde lady who was working (the only employee there) did not acknowledge me when I came in, and when it was my turn to get cut she did not speak a word to me, yet she was talking up a storm to every other customer. Along with her refusal to acknowledge my existence, her facial expressions while she was cutting my hair seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else - a very miserable woman. P.S. Do not go here if you have thick/curly hair as I do and she did not know what she was doing and kind of butchered it.
