Great place for a hair cut , Paul is my favorite he really pays attention to details when he cuts your hair, he will catch that one hair behind your ear that Dodge's the Clippers and if you're beard is off center he will fix it up as part of the haircut. It gets really busy sometimes and they don't take reservations its first come first serve put your name on a list and wait . So don't go if your in a rush.Sometimes they will let people know on Instagram if there is No wait .

Whenever I get a haircut anywhere else they always screw it up and i end up saying too myself i should have just waited at Al's. 10/10 haircut and experience I went to Als barbershop and got cut by a young apprentice that’s new to the team. The cut wasn’t up to standards and I decided to send the shop owner a private message on the shops Instagram account. The owner Rob took my feedback and showed that he valued me as a customer. He got back to me the same day and handled the entire situation with care, turning a negative experience into a first class example of customer service. Rob apologized and immediately rectified the situation by offering to take care of my hair whenever I was available. Rob went above and beyond by inviting me to come to the shop the next day when it was closed and gave me the best service I’ve ever had. The haircut was a 10/10, Rob was detailed oriented and showed his passion and commitment to the industry, his business and his craft. I will certainly be returning and recommending Rob and his team to my friends. Behind the incredible fade and cut, what stands out to me is a man that would come on his day off to make sure a customer was happy with what they paid for. That’s extremely rare in todays day and age and I salute Rob for his hard work.

Al's has been my go-to barber shop in downtown Brampton for over 8 years! Classy, traditional, old school, modern, trendy - they've had a cut for me that I’ve showed off proudly, every single time. As a bonus, I enjoy sipping on a complimentary espresso (or tea), especially during the morning rush and peak crowds. Price point is competitive, and to those who are weary of wait times and long lines: while any amount of time waiting in one spot is crippling for some, I say it’s the experience (the smell of talc, the cool burn of aftershave, the site of shaving mugs and barbicide, and, of course, the bantering) that makes it all worthwhile. It's rare nowadays to find a purely male barber shop. Never left the garage with a bad experience, ever. Highly recommend!

This is not a place where you get a quick haircut for $15. These are professionals that take what they do very seriously. You will be charged between $25-$40 depending on what you want but it will be the best cut you will ever get. They won’t just cut your hair, they will help you work towards the look you want in the future as well. There might be a bit of wait time depending on the day. Also the parking lot is kinda small if you have a big car.

Used to be a great place to get a haircut but a lot of good barbers have left to go to better shops. I've heard that the working conditions are poor under current management (Rob). Also, Rob has very little class and has on many occasions demonstrated that through his racist and nasty comments. They did a great job with my son's haircut! The staff was friendly and had lots of smiles - huge for any service with the involvement of children. They're mostly catered to a crowd with more years beyond the age of 6, but they were awesome, regardless. They did a great job with my SO as well who also got his hair cut and styled during the same trip. It did get crowded during our visit because - naturally - their reputation and professional operations are welcoming to many.. the place is a bit small for the capacity they cater to, and they have a high demand for the quality of service they offer. Pricing is very fair!

I've been going to this barbershop for a few years now and after today's visit, I for sure wont be going there EVER again. Like others have mentioned, the barbers at this location like to make very crude remarks, some of which are racist and completely unprofessional. The things being said are stuff you'd expect to hear at home within closed doors, not at WORK with CUSTOMERS around. In terms of the quality, at first it was good, however, as of late, whenever I go there I always leave dissatisfied and I've finally reached my breaking point after today. One of my biggest qualms with this place is that showing them a picture makes no difference, 90% of the time you will get something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. It's a complete waste of time. Not only that, but the lines are excruciatingly long and it seems like there's always a new barber being trained which is so annoying as if they mess up, the experienced ones have to go over and fix their mistakes, leaving you to just wait there while they finish fixing them up, like WTF?

As a new customer I was very pleased with the service and my haircut. Although the wait is long, it was worth it. First off, the barbers were super chill and efficient. They make you feel welcomed and I felt very comfortable in the environment. I am usually an impatient person but with all the recommendations I've heard about this place I had to try it out. Special mention to my barber Rob. Not only was he a funny guy, he educated me on how to maintain my hair and as an inexperienced person with hair styling and maintenance, I was definitely happy. My head was cleaned up well, I got an amazing product and was given a high quality comb & bag. You guys will be seeing me again!

It's been a couple years since I was here, admittedly, but this was one of the best haircuts I've ever had. I was in Brampton for my best friend's wedding. He's a regular at Al's and had all the wedding party cleaned up by them before the wedding. Everyone was SUPER nice and welcoming. The line was long and it was early, so I could tell the place was well loved. As we left, the offtere the whole wedding party expensive product baskets that had full sized grooming kits for all of us. Shave cream, shampoo, even gel I think. It was a seriously memorable experience. Also, the cut was pristine. They took their time, despite the line, and made sure we all look very fly. Thank you!!!

I honestly was debating to drive all the way to Toronto to get that perfect cut, but I decided to check this place out before I did, and that was the best decision I've made so far since I moved to Brampton, not only did I get the cut I precisely asked for, it is probably the best cut I've ever gotten. I've seen alot of petty reviews for this barbershop and it's pretty pathetic in my opinion, first and foremost, if you plan on getting a perfect hair cut, and you're not willing to wait for just a little while, well then there's alot of butchers in Brampton who'll give you quick service that'll leave you traumatized for atleast 2 weeks give or take, and yes, every barber has there own strengths and weaknesses, that's why there's so many to pick from, while you wait, you be the judge, and during that wait, you'll get to see who you'd prefer to get a cut from. I'm saying that from experience because for starters I don't exactly have the best hair and it takes certain techniques to get that exact cut that I want, so decide what you want and describe it as well as you'd like the cut to be, because if you don't you'll be the one to blame. Sorry if I offended anybody, but I felt that something needs to be said about some of the ridiculous reviews made for this gem of a barbershop!

Ambience 5/5 -> They know how to maintain a friendly environment, and keep everyone around them cheered! The wait times can be absolutely insane. The atmosphere is welcoming, but the cuts I have received have been very inconsistent. Only once I have received a cut that was what I asked for. My last visit I was overcharged; I asked him to only fade my sideburns with my beard but he ended up lining up the entire thing (very poorly, I might add). He didn’t listen to instructions very well and took too much off the top when I asked him to leave it fairly long. Not only that but he rushed through it. I understand there are other patrons waiting but if you want a return client, you need to take the time to cater to their requests.

I been going here for a while now and they do give pretty decent haircuts at a decent price. There's a lot of "manly" talk, which is fine considering there's only men there. But the lines are getting way too long, haircuts are more rushed now. Some of the old barbers are gone. And to be very honest, there's a lot of racist chatter going on. Pretty damn surprising when you're in Brampton.

First time there and was very impressed. Very long wait with everyone and their sons there since it was back-to-school season. Even though a dozen people were waiting by time I got my haircut, the barber took his time with me and did not rush me. He listened to my concerns, gave me tips about my hair and beard, gave me the haircut I asked for, and even cleaned up my beard. Was offered free cappuccino while waiting, so that was a nice touch. No appointments, which I like and is what I'm used to from the shops I remember going to years ago. Will be my go-to barber from now on.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff are super friendly, and as soon as you walk in they greet you with a smile and some banter. The conversations in the shop make you feel like you are in a social place (unless you are an introvert I suppose). Then the skill of these guys is unmatched for how much you are paying. Compared to $50-80 at some high end places, you pay $25 and get the best cut you can ask for. I'm not sure if they specialize in anything crazy or specific like color or design, but if you want a good biweekly or monthly cut, this is the place to be. I have been to places all over Brampton and Missisauga, and I drive here just because they are that good.

I don't even know where to start. You go in with a picture , struggle to grow your hair and they/he just gets so amazed of why you want a long style... can't accept that and just cuts it how he desires.

Some of these guys don't know what they're doing. Came in for a low skin fade, guy gave me a mid-high. I even make it easy for him, I showed him a video of me with a low skin fade but nope somehow he messed up.

Awesome place for men and boys to get groomed. The barbers here are quick but very talented and detailed at their craft. No appointments can be made and there's usually a line up but it quickly goes by. Staff is personable and like to engage with their clientele.

Our barber was friendly and attentive. Go here and support your local barber shop. Just make sure you ask not to have your eyebrows trimmed cause they'll just do it if you say nothing ;)

Brought my son who is not even 2 yet for a hair cut with Josh! He did such an amazing job on my sons fade and design. Best fade I have seen on a toddler by fair. He was so sweet and nice with my son. Bonus note his clippers were quite so it didn’t startle my son and he was able to sit still. I totally recommend this barbershop and Josh! My son looks so good and enjoyed the experience. Well priced and great service all round !!!

I have been getting my haircut and beard trimmed at Al's Barbershop for over 10 years. Walking in every time its great to see Rob and his staff, they are all so welcoming and friendly and always greet you with joke or two. The shop is very clean and and safety protocols are in place both inside and outside the shop. I have had the pleasure of having my haircut by all the barbers and they all do a great and professional job. Rob's knowledge of products is unparalleled and I can trust what he is telling me. IMPORTANT: I got haircut at this shop, MAIN problem was the barber did NOT clean their razors before starting my haircut. Like at ALL. Is this not some sort of health violation? More i think about it the more angry and sad i get. I am a anxious and shy individual so i did not call them out on the spot. But looking back i should have, and am very angry i did not. Not 1 stars because haircuts are decent. But this health violation is EXTREMELY serious. Please PLEASE CLEAN YOUR RAZOR AFTER EVERY CUSTOMER WITH THE BLUE DISINFECTANT! YOU GUYS DID NOT CLEAN THEM AT ALL FOR EACH OF MY HAIRCUTS!

I have found my new home for hair cutting. 2nd time there and I'm happier than then first time, fantastic, love what David did for me. When it came time to pay, they charged a “Covid” fee for each haircut, after already overcharging haircuts for two boys. No other barbershop charges $7 per haircut just because we’re in quarantine. Terrible experience, will not be returning.

Had a haircut in the midst of corona pandemic in Al’s barbershop. Very clean, followed all safety protocols, temperature checks, hand sanitizers, and mandatory face masks and followed the guidelines. I am very happy with their excellent service and their talented staff! In the midst of this pandemic, I felt safe getting my haircut here. Highly recommended!!

I told him because this place is great and it's a good day to get a haircut from you guys.
