These guys give me a pretty good trim each time I go here. I have been getting my beard trimmed by Lewis and he is quite a friendly fellow. He does a decent job trimming my beard and I have gotten a shave from him twice now which is a really neat experience. I would recommend this place.

I have been coming here for a few years, and it is my regular barber shop. The location is great and parking has never been an issue. You always get a hello and a friendly smile when you walk in, I have always booked in with the same barber, Tilly, since I always get a great cut and really have no desire to go anywhere else. The selection of beard, shaving and hair products are all great and the prices are fair, since the quality is high. I highly recommend this barber shop in Saskatoon.

A great Barbers with a contemporary style to it. Book online or over the phone or just turn up to a drop in day. Very reasonably priced. The only reason they don't get five stars is the time limits imposed on the barbers. I'd rather they took their time with me instead of being rushed through. Overall I am more than happy to recommend and will definitely be going back.

At one point I never saw the value in getting a haircut, then I got paired up with Tiffany. When I found out she would be working at Bourbon I was excited as I had always wanted to try going there. The first experience going there was just as memorable as my current experiences are and you can tell that she and the staff at Bourbon care about the quality of their work and the experiences their customers have. I always look forward to my monthly cut and visit. Tiffany is social and cares about what is going on in my life which has me leaving Bourbon with a smile and a fresh cut. I can't recommend her or the business enough. What I believe is now around 5 years of having her cut my hair I can say that I now see the value in getting a haircut. This is the place to go!

Bang on place for a great cut, style and relevant conversation. Totally unpretentious staff and a full on welcoming feeling. Lewis is the real deal. His assuredness and thorough explanations behind his choice of cut and the eventual end result is refreshing. A lot of places that simply offer haircuts, burn through their clients (quantity over quality) and seem to be the type of place where the staff is just winging it, making your hair appointment have more of a fast food, conveyor belt mentality. This is not one of those places. Not going anywhere else ever again.

UPDATE: Editting my review as Tiffany no longer works at Bourbon. She moved to Aslyum Barber and Tattoo parlor, so I moved with her. Taking away my favorite barber from the equation takes away some of my stars, as now I'm only treating it as somewhere to buy hair products I can't find elsewhere. With those factors, the selection is nice but a bit on the pricey side (I can find most products online cheaper). Honestly until a year or so ago I never really took the advice "Always go to the same Barber" seriously. Wow I was wrong. I've been going to Tiffany at Bourbon's for well over a year now, and I've never been dissatisfied with a haircut. Because I keep going to the same barber, it's allowed me to feel more willing to experiment with my hairstyle as I tend to have pretty odd hair! Bourbon has an amazing vibe when you go in, they have a bar you can sit at and have coffee/tea/pop/water as you wait, the place always smells amazing, and after you go there a couple times the staff recognize you, making you feel important! I don't think I could ever end up going to a different barber shop ever again. I cannot recommend Bourbon enough.

I've tried several of the barbers at Bourbon and have walked out with a great haircut each time. They are also very friendly; I've always found their customer service exceptional. The building is also large and spacious for a barbershop, which is nice. So long as they don't increase their prices, I highly recommend spending the money to get your hair cut here as it is worth what they charge ($25 for a cut).

Probably the best barbers in the city. I'm originally from the UK, I traveled and then lived in Australia for two years. I've now been in Canada for a little over two years and I have never been to a barbers as consistently as I have here. From the vibe to the quality of cuts and services, they have it all. After a ton of procrastinating, I finally took the plunge and booked an appointment at Bourbon. I had heard many good things from friends about the place and recognized many faces in the portfolio images on their website and Facebook page. On arrival, I was greeted by super-friendly Travis who made me feel welcome, sat me at the "bar" and offered me a complementary beverage of coffee/tea/water while I waited. Once in a chair, I was treated to some great conversation and a kick-ass clean-up from Lewis that later drew compliments from friends and a bucket of smiles from my lady. I was quite happy with my fresh look! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back to keep myself neat and tidy and plan on treating myself to even more of their services.

I go to Bourbon all the time. Its AWESOME. I remember the first time I went there. I walked in without an appointment and was greeted by one of the friendly staff who was clearly on her lunch break but dropped everything and made time for me. She offered to stop eating and see me right away, but I said I could wait. She thanked me and offered me a seat at the counter and poured me a coffee. I looked at the pool table and asked if it was OK if i shot a game while I waited. She said of course and so I shot a game of pool and drank my coffee. When it came time for my hair cut I was having such a good time I had hoped she would have taken longer to be ready for me! Since then Chantal and her staff have been looking after me! Yet another poor cut/trim at this establishment. Gave them a second try as don't like to say once is a norm but they didn't improve . I have a simple haircut - #1 all over including beard. So today didn't get barber who I had requested (second time this has happened - why bother to pre-book and select barber if you don't get them?) I do have two cowlicks on my head which requires the clippers to go over from every direction to get it all - today was only good enough to go one way. Beard while short does grow in all directions. She decided today that she would clippers bear going with the grain. I did have her redo mustache saying she had to go against the grain to get all of it. Amazing how much better that worked . Once I got home spent 15 min using my own clippers to get all the missed areas and untrimmed sections . Remind me again why this was worth $33? If it had been $15 - $18 which is what I paid in other cities would not complain but seems that Saskatoon seems to think they should charge a premium for mediocrity.

First time there. Was given a gift certificate as a gift so gave it a try. Booked online and showed up early. Was checked in by the owner and made to wait at the "bar". I sat there for 20 min past my appointment thinking, okay they're just busier than usual. No harm. After 30 min I'm just about to lose patience when I get a call on my cell phone from the owner. Literally standing right beside me, she's calling me to complain that I'm not here for my appointment. Sorted that out and got in a chair. Stylist not overly helpful. Cut was mediocre. Atmosphere is cliche and boring which could be forgiven if service and cut weren't lacking. Was only given a $5 off next visit card. Not a great first impression.

Showed one hour before closing without an appointment. They were able to accommodate me. One of the staff members actually stayed after his shift was finished to cut my hair. Extremely satisfied. The manager even noticed that my hands were rough from working and for no charge treated me with some product to help remove callouses. I left with a great haircut and soft hands. This has been the place I've been going to for multiple years with my father. They never disappoint for amazing haircuts. Even helped me get my new hair style and helped me maintain it with tips from the Barbour, didn't know how to tie my hair and the lady who cut my hair shown me how, and other types of tying. The owner Chantel is amazing she's extremely nice to talk to and funny as hell. She's been very respectful and kind to my father and I same with all the other employees I've had. The employees are both professional and open people. The inside interior speaks for itself, very clean, well spaced, and the bar is great, water, soda, to liquor. Amazing decoration and the products you can buy are great too, good price included on top of that. The shower and head massage is beyond amazing, comfortable chairs even being on the hefty and tall side. I hope to get an appointment as soon as I get home from work!

I go here regularly and it is a great place to go. But the reason I am leaving a review is for the experience I had today when I took my 3 year old son for a haircut here. Kyle greeted him by name at the til and asked if he wanted a juicebox. Kiorra cut his hair and talked to him about what she was doing so he wouldn't be afraid. She ask if he was doing ok while she was buzzing around his ears. This was his second haircut ever and Kiorra was very good with him. I left Very happy with the haircut and the service. Well. My barber did a good job on my head. She is new to these guys so she had to get it checked by her supervisor.The supervisor came and touched up lines that were fine with me and then proceeded to take scissors to my head without my go ahead. She made it shorter than I wanted and now I'll wear a hat for a few weeks. Isn't the point for the barber and me to talk and discuss what I want? It was all fine until the supervisor came and disregarded the customer barber relationship. It also seemed degrading to me for the new barber and not a very good teaching method. Let's not forget here that I'm the one who has to go in public with my hair so maybe check with me first!!! And thanks tilly, you did a great job in the first place. I will come again but won't let that happen again.

All the barbers are so kind and welcoming, I would feel comfortable getting my cut but any one of the workers. It is such a comfortable atmosphere and it almost feels like a second home at this point. I never knew what to do with my hair when I want a change. She always has an idea that will fit me and my needs. 1st of all have to say I had back to back great haircuts and Alesi is wonderful. Unfortunately nothing can make up for the attitude of the person answering the phones. Asked last time I was in if I could book a cut for the following month was told the schedule wasnt done (schedule not done 3 weeks im advance?)but that they would book me in tentatively and call to confirm. No call. Booked myself in for another appointment and had a family emergency while rushing back from Regina. Had to cancel and completely understand that it is a loss of income for the shop and the barber. However to be told id already cancelled 3 times and once I rebooked im asked 3 times if im sure im going to make it in a condescending manner? Not acceptable. As a business owner I would be absolutely embarassed to hear my team members speak to customers in that manner regardless of situation. Barbershop seems to be busy these days dont lose focus of the client or it wont be busy for long....

I just walked out and had to write a review before leaving the parking lot. The place has a real awesome vibe when you first walk in. I've been going to a chain barber shop for a while but I figured I'd give Bourbon a try. I was not disappointed. I had Jen and she really took her time with my fade to get it right. She was legit. The people at the front (owner and manager I'm assuming ) were super welcoming. I am getting married in 6 weeks and my boys and I are definitely coming here.

First time I went I was surprised and pleased... The young native Lady who cut my hair was brilliant in both her cut and her demeanor, the service was great and the price was also...so when it came time for my next cut I called, made an appointment and showed up 10 minutes early....only to find they had not entered my slot in the computer and told me to wait....the shop was FAR from busy and I was on my lunch break....but I waited, the stylist finished her client after about 15 minutes and I expected to be seated for my cut...nope...the stylist told me to sit at the bar, went out for a smoke and apon her returne without a word to me began a long drawn out ( and rather loud ) discussion vwith her co- worker while I sat and waited for another 15 minutes.... Thirty five minutes after I arrived I was still waiting, I spoke up saying I would have to get back to work soon...and was ignored completely. This from the loud mouthed " face of the business " WORST case of night and day ever. I wish I had never gone back, never will shoddy service to say the least.

Well. My barber did a good job on my head. She is new to these guys so she had to get it checked by her supervisor.The supervisor came and touched up lines that were fine with me and then proceeded to take scissors to my head without my go ahead. She made it shorter than I wanted and now I'll wear a hat for a few weeks. Isn't the point for the barber and me to talk and discuss what I want? It was all fine until the supervisor came and disregarded the customer barber relationship. It also seemed degrading to me for the new barber and not a very good teaching method. Let's not forget here that I'm the one who has to go in public with my hair so maybe check with me first!!! And thanks tilly, you did a great job in the first place. I will come again but won't let that happen again.

Was my first time getting a cut here and all I have to say is positive things, first off I was blown away by the incredibly pleasant hospitality and talent of my hairdresser/stylist Jackie! She made sure I was 100% satisfied in my cut. Not to mention the in-shop bar which added a great twist to what would be an otherwise ordinary haircut, the TVs play current sports; AND they’re open later than most other places on Saturdays, perfect for working tradesmen who get off work at later hours, the manager there runs a good ship ????????

Travelling through Saskatoon, I walked in for a cut and was booked in for 2 hours later. Sam was my barber and he did a good job and is a nice guy. I got chatting to Chantal who was really nice, and everyone was really friendly. The vibe is fantastic - pool table, darts, and pop/coffee while you wait. I was also able to pick Ally's brains about beard oil/balms, and they have a good selection on offer. If I lived here, this would be my new local/regular spot!

great atmosphere great set up just really disappointed with end result of my hair cut the fade wasn't done correctly you could see all the different levels, then i asked for a line which started of great but at the end he went back and made it like the thickness of a finger. the worst part is i called in the next time i wanted a hair cut because bad cuts happen and i thought i would give it another try as it is a great set up for a barber, I asked to speak to the owner and was told she was busy so left my name and number last week and still no reply. that was a real let down as I also own a business and i make sure i return customer calls.

DO NOT GO. Called ahead asking if staff was capable of a "High Fade". An extremely standard cut. Chantal assured me of a certain staff member. Not only did I end up with a MOHAWK, it took 45 minutes, my beard was shaved with the wrong tool, and when leaving Chantal still needed the full 45 dollars. I had been a customer for a long time and chantal knew what I was supposed to get. Bad environment, overpriced, and full of incapable staff.

I've been having flat tops for over 30 years and on my first and ultimately my last visit I asked if they did flat tops. I asked the lady to be honest and if she couldn't do it I'd leave. She insisted she could give me a flat top. I even showed her a pic of me with a flat top and she said she could do it. Needless to say, 1 hour later I left with a short back and sides and a lopsided one at that. Fed up of poor hairstylists in saskatoon who lie just to take your money. Receptionist was nice and told me to sit at the bar. Three other people were waiting with me. I finally walked out at 6:45 pm because there was still one person ahead of me and no one had acknowledged either of us in the time I was there. What's the point in booking an appointment if you're expected to wait 30+ minutes? Will take my business elsewhere.

The person on the phone is extremely rude, and knew I canceled because I’m not a man, still yelled at me terribly and hanged up on me. Extremely rude. - update for your massive reply: I did not call to cancel. Just called to make sure if you could do hair for women. If you offered to trim my hair instead of yelling and hanging up on me, YOU WOULD HAVE EARNED MY MONEY. Your employees would do a better job feeding the families if they learn to be nice to potential customers instead of yelling at them. And you should get your customers’ names right.

I've been going to Bourbon consistently for my haircuts since October, and been there a handful of times prior. I've had their hot shaves, hair cuts and recently beard trims. Always professional, courteous and recieved what I was expecting. I've also taken my son for his first haircut as well. They were patient and accommodating for a 1.5 year old. Special shout out to Cody for doing a fantastic job on my first beard trim (after 4 months of growth). I was nervous and he took his time and had a great experience. Highly recommend hitting him up for all your beardly needs. They have a good variety of products for your beard/hair/shaving as well.

I just went here for the first time. It's a comdortable place, not just because they have coffee, tea, soda, and water readily available while you wait for your haircut, nor is it comfortable because they have a pool table and a dart board to spend some time at. It's comfortable because the minute I sat down in Rachel's chair I knew she was going to give me the haircut I wanted, despite the fact that I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted! After Rachel knew how she was going to cut my hair, she proceeded with the most care and detail I have ever experienced at a barbershop. The end result: a haircut worth writing a slightly longwinded review for! So thank you, Rachel, for such a fine haircut!

Best hair cut experience I've had to date! Mikayla is a phenomenal barber who provided me with the exact haircut I wanted. She even went above and beyond by explaining the techniques used to style my hair so I could recreate the hairstyle at home. Overall, my experience today felt tailored specifically for me and I felt I got more value than I expected. I will definitely be returning to her for my next cut. I was in for a beard trim 2 days ago, I try to go get a trim every 2 to 3 weeks. I would recommend Maddy if you are looking, she is so friendly and she does such a great job! This last trim was the best so far! I just got a beard trim and it was great. They are doing a wonderful job creating an atmosphere that is both comfortable and safe in this new world.

I've never had good experiences with haircuts thanks to my unruly mop, but Jennifer took the time to find something that worked for me and put up with all my last minute changes. Loved it so much I came back to get it shaped up two weeks later and get my first hot shave, and wow what an experience. I would like to thank Chantal and her staff for going above and beyond tonight. Long story short my coat was mistakenly taken by a customer with the exact same coat. After reviewing the video footage and confirming i entered the establishment with my keys Chantal called every patron who was in the building from when i entered till i was done and eventually figured out the mishap. The bourban staff stayed late till i got my coat and keys back. Thanks again for this and thanks for the continued quality professional services you provide.

Tried to explain the poor experience I had with a person and they said it doesn't matter because they are going private soon. I've been there a hand full of times and it was good this last time I will never go there again and suggest no else does either. Update ! I didn't ask for a haircut or a free hair cut. I called to explain that my brother who was not satisfied with his haircut or the service. If they listened all I want to tell them was the hairdresser was rough told MY brother he was not allowed to talk and when we arrived early like we were asked! When he arrived the first thing she said hurry up you're already late. Ofcourse he's not gonna say anything to your face he was SCARED ! 10 OUT OF 10 DO NOT GO HERE

My last haircut before going to the Bouban Barbershop was 3 weeks prior while on vacation in Toronto by my old Barber who moved there last spring. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appt. and waited for 15 minutes past my scheduled appt. and was told my stylist was just finishing his break. Once I got sat down in his chair, I showed him a few pictures my old barber took of the last cut he gave me. Once the barber (sorry, I forgot his name) got started, he referred back to the pics a number of times during the cut. He took painstaking measures to get it exactly right. I was very happy with the end result and told him that I think I finally found a new barber. Needless to say, I will be a returning customer.

I WISH THERE WAS ZERO STAR OPTION. WORST SSTYLISTS, LACK OF EXPERIENCE,. THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I left a 5 star review years ago but apparently never bothered to write words... Time for an overdue review. Bourbon is by far the best hair cut I've ever recieved in the city. I consistently see Chantal and she is amazing and knocks it out of the park every time. I finally got around to getting a hot shave as well and don't sleep on that if you've been hesitating, it's worth it. I've also got my hair/beard cut by Tiffany when Chantal has been otherwise occupied and Tiffany is amazing as well. The other staff, even though I haven't recieved cuts from them, are all very friendly to deal with as well.

Moving to Saskatoon from Vancouver for the summer. I did my due diligence in looking for a barber who offered the best value per cut. I saw that Lewis had a number of great Google reviews on this page, so, I booked in with him for my first appointment. It's safe to say, he did not disappoint! Not only does he provide superior service, but his knowledge and skill set as a barber surpasses many of the barbers I have gone to (in the UK and in Vancouver as well). If you are looking for a barber with passion and a very high IQ in his trade, make sure you go to Bourbon Barber and visit him!

Not really sure what the point is of booking a specific hairdresser that I like if I just get randomly matched with someone else most of the time when I show up. Been coming for 5 years but I'm going to try somewhere else.

Prices went up with no explanation or warning. Went in for a regular cut and beard trim and paid way more than normal for what used to be cheaper and higher quality than most. Adding on used to get discounts compared to simply going in for trim. No point going for cuts anymore. If I return, I might as well go just for the beard at that price.

Are you a man? If you answered yes this is the place for you. The place itself is sublime, right from the first moment you know your in the right place. The service i received from Karla was, bar none, the best hair cutting experience i have ever had. She took the time to consult with me before hand and then again verified before any major cutting took place. I am always nervous to let others at my beard but the care and attention to detail here means that is a thing of the past. Also her recommendation for One Drip Coffee house was on point! Needless to say I will be back. I will easily recommend this place to anyone looking for a mens cut.

Showed one hour before closing without an appointment. They were able to accommodate me. One of the staff members actually stayed after his shift was finished to cut my hair. Extremely satisfied. The manager even noticed that my hands were rough from working and for no charge treated me with some product to help remove callouses. I left with a great haircut and soft hands. The prices were reasonable as well.
