Went in for a consult and was given a guaranteed price. Arrived a couple of weeks later for the appointment and asked if im still doing the same thing and said yes. The whole time the stylists children were running around bothering every client one clients was doing most of the childcare. Had my hair coloured and styled very quickly as the stylist kept saying she was going away for the weekend. Time to pay and I was charged almost double what I was quoted!!!! I left salon and stylist ran out with her child immediately after. 1 week later my colour was gone...vanished...called salon and they offered to fix it but still am waiting for an appointment. Unprofessional shoddy work...not happy and will never recommend.

The only reason I gave them two stars is because everyone was very friendly! However, long story short, my hair was dyed one colour that was literally one shade different than my original hair colour & even though I booked in to get ombré done the stylist told me she didn't have the time to do the ombré and could only do one colour. Then proceeded to give me the haircut of a 40 year old soccer mom from suburbia lol. I'm 26. 10/10 would not recommend.

She also did an amazing job with the dye and highlights. My experience with I.D. Salon has been very unprofessional, rushed, and the result is horrible. I had my hair dyed. First, they called me on the day of to say that they are running 20 mins late. I am working on a very tight schedule myself and 20 mins is a long time. Second, as I showed the colour that I want, the colourist did not even spend 30 seconds looking at the photo. By record, this is the fastest and very rushed consultation for hair colour that I ever had. Third, she just kept leaving without excusing herself to who knows where. I was left guessing where in the process of hair dyeing I was at. Next, when I was being washed for the final result, her assistant informed me that I will be going home with wet hair. I asked why they don't blow dry. They said it's a separate service. I was stunned to know this. How can someone know the end result of the hair dyeing process without getting it professionally blown dry? The assistant was nice enough to say that she will set me up with a blow dryer. I didn't know what it meant. It turned out, I was suppose to dry my hair by myself. She ended up helping me drying my hair poorly. Post drying, I had to ask for a mirror so I could review what was done to my hair. To my surprise, it looked awful, horrible, gross, distasteful! The colourist was nowhere to be seen to show me the end result! The assistant finally called her and I told her that the end result was not what I was expecting. Instead of apologizing, she gave an excuse such as: the picture you showed me was curly and your hair is short. The place offered me to come in for a fix up to which initially I agreed. The apology I received was from the receptionist and not from the colourist. To sum it up, worst service I ever received with hair colouring. Unprofessional, rushed, unapologetic, and distasteful! I don't understand why this place is reviewed so highly. Complete disappointment. I will return to my old salon where everything is just perfect and makes sense unlike this place.

As soon as I walked in I had people greeting me and asking for my coat to hang it up, then I was offered a water, coffee, hot chocolate etc. Awesome way start, then ontop of this they had massage chairs to sit in while getting your hair washed! Very nice. For my hair I couldnt of asked for anything better, my hair dresser was bang on what I wanted and really nice to talk to the entire time. My first visit and everyone was friendly. My previous cut, which was done at a different salon, was done incorrectly. The layers did not blend, but rather were sitting on top of my head. Not good for someone with curly hair! I had struggled with it since the end of May. I let Kathleen tell me what she thought was wrong with the previous cut and her assessment was the same as mine. She also noticed the length was longer one the left side and the layers were longer on the right side! I'm happy to say since Kathleen cut my hair, I have washed and styled at home twice and it is back to being easier to manage. Thank you, Kathleen!

My mother and I both whent about a year ago and my hair is still recovering and growing out. I had highlighted hair before and asked for a full head of baby blonde highlights to lighten it up and walked out with my hair so broken off it looked like a mullet ( I had healthy hair before) ans the blonde being literally yellow. not too happy. I went in only for colour yesterday morning. I had more than 3 months outgrowth so lots to work with. I carefully explained to the colourist exactly what I wanted. I got exactly what I DIDNT want! won't go back. Not recommended for colour.

I have been going to i.d. Hair Studio for years. The staff always make sure they understand what you want. Recently, after going in following the "lockdown", I decided to let my hair go grey given I had 6 mos of growth already happening. Barb, my colourist, knew exactly how to get me there even though there was still residual colour I didn't want to cut off. The results were amazing! I also worked with Shawn, my stylist, to give me a different cut from the norm which would somewhat give me the illusion of length. Got it! I am very happy here at this salon. I always appreciated Eric's expertise in short stylish cuts but never so much as this past year after I fell and shattered both my elbows. After 2 months I could barely brush my hair let alone style it and use a blow dryer. Eric immediately new the style and length that would look fashionable and could be finger styled with one hand. So, off I went to the salon on March 10 (they fit me in immediately). I asked Shannon if she could darken my hair back to its original colour. Shannon didn't hesitate for a moment. The colour is stunning. As I headed to Natasha, to pay for my new colour, I was told that it would be FREE of charge. Free. I just stood there. I insisted on paying because Shannon had coloured my hair the day before just like I asked her to. Shannon and Natasha both stated that customers come first as well as their happiness. As a person who has only had two other people cut their hair in the last 30 years I was looking for a salon that had a high level of experience and good ratings. I was nervous. The only other time I let someone outside my normal stylist cut my hair was a disaster. I booked a chair with Eric, one of the owners. The cut was good but I was still a little nervous because I can only tell how really good a cut is after I was and dry my own hair. I did get a compliment as soon as I got home. After washing it myself it was all good. I am very happy with the hair cut and highly recommend this salon.
