I think the best way to describe HeadQuarters is with contrast. Imagine your run-of-the-mill haircut place. Linoleum floors, drab walls, rows of mirrors with identical tools like a strange haircut assembly line. It has about the same amount of soul as a hospital waiting room. HeadQuarters is certainly not that, soul is something that HeadQuarters absolutely doesn't lack. If you've seen pictures of the interior you'd know the place is unique and warm. The chairs are comfortable and the atmosphere just feels good. From the art on the walls, to the numerous trinkets, to the interesting salon equipment, there's always something to look at. Aside from your hair of course. On the topic of hair, I've never left without looking better than when I walked in. I see Jim to get my hair cut. If the place itself is the soul, Jim is the heart. Extremely friendly fellow, as unique, warm, and inviting as the salon itself. On my last visit I wasn't 100% sure on what I wanted so I bounced some ideas of Jim. He took the ideas, told me his thoughts, gave me his professional opinion, explained it to me, and got to work, and his ideas were phenomenal. I have a haircut I've never tried before, it's wildly different from what I had and it looks fantastic. Absolute professional. On my first visit I was worried, for all this I would surely have a hefty price to pay. But the cost is surprisingly modest, especially consider what you get. And if you think it can't get any better, I sh*t you not, they offer you free candy. I don't just enjoy my visits here, I'd go as far as saying I look forward to them.
