I was so thrilled and impressed with the reopening of Hairscape. Annie did a great job with implementing all the new precautions for a safe and clean environment. Each individual hair dresser and their client were six feet apart the entire time. All hairdressers were wearing protective masks and/or shields. I felt very safe. First time getting my hair cut at a professional salon and it was fantastic! Annie actually knew how to cut and style my very curly/thick hair, unlike all the places I have been to before. She also showed me how to style my new hair in a vintage look that I've been going for. The price was very reasonable and the staff were incredibly friendly. Annie is just the absolute best and a delight. I called her yesterday for a last minute wash and blow-out and, while she is typically too busy for last minute calls like this, she managed to fit me in within 45 min of my call. Let me also say that I had never met her before. I was in town for one day and the stars aligned for us to meet. I needed my hair blown out and she just happened to have an opening when I needed it. When I arrived, Annie was incredibly gracious and friendly and took me back immediately. Even though I arrived 10 minutes early! The treatment itself was heavenly and it was clear that she really knows her stuff. She explained to me in great detail how to treat my type of hair (Wavy 2A) and what products I would benefit the most from using. All in all, I couldn’t have been more impressed with my experience at Hairscape. Annie’s experience, professionalism, and business skills are far beyond what I was expecting and I can’t recommend her enough if you’re looking for that person who treats you more than just another client. Sometimes you meet someone that feels so familiar even though you’ve never met before and this was one of those times for me. I anticipate being back in town fairly regularly and I will always make time to come in for a service. If I could give Annie and her staff more than 5 stars, I would. Even though her staff were busy working with other clients, they all took the time to say hello and one staff member even explained some products to me when I was checking out. It’s obvious that Hairscape is a positive place to work by the attitudes and cheerfulness of those who work there. Thanks, again, Annie! I can’t wait to be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had my first Pedicure with Annie and Danielle. I cannot describe how wonderful it was. I work on my feet all day and they take a beating. I tried a podiatrist and was not impressed. I was referred to the Salon through a Co-Worker. I have had very bad experiences in the bast with different Salons so I was very nervous. From the minute I booked the appointment to me walking in the door to the Salon, I felt very comfortable & welcome. My stylist was Danielle & I can honestly say she is truly the best Hair Stylist I have ever been to. I went for a drastic change to what was my current hair style. I love it huge & have received too many compliments to count on my new look but what I actually consider the best part of this experience was that Danielle took time to educate me on how to style my hair at home. There is nothing worse than leaving a Salon looking like a Movie Star only to realize the following day that you can never style your hair the way the Hair Stylist did. Danielle took the time to show me how to properly blow dry may hair, how to properly wash my hair etc. this has all been a huge asset and I now find my hair so easy to style daily. Love this salon. Reasonable pricing and great customer service. My hair can get complicated - it has required touch ups (not stylists fault). They accommodate nicely and with no issue. I am fond of the card used to note certain peculiarities, so you get that perfect cut. Cora and Danielle are wonderful to work with!

5 star for the quick appointment booking as under the circumstance they're able to book me in within one days notice. Deeply appreciated! However, the haircuting part was not I expected. But I understand I probably have incorrectly explained on how to cut my hair and the style I wanted. No I did not use a different name. It was a lady with glasses named Corrie I believe. She said she's being working here for 30 years. I paid $27.28 for a mens haircut. I was there for 10mins. Its last Saturday 2pm appointment.

Idk how to submit pictures, but I will find out. I asked Cora to dye my hair to a very light/faded purple and I was told that because I am a dark brunette it might not get as light as I would like it unless I were to go back for a second appointment. However, I was also told that it would lighten up over the course of about a week. Now a week has past and even though it is not as light as I would like it to be, I am keeping in mind what Cora and the rest of the wonderful Hairscape staff told me, and I am so excited to go back to finish off my new look. -William

Most hair salons have the same drawbacks. High traffic, low parking. The atmosphere is so open that everyone coming in, or even walking by, can watch. The person doing your hair asks you a question every few minutes out of obligation to make you welcome. Prices are steep. I tried Hairscapes, in part, because it's location; right off 400 exit, parking right in front of door. Also, the prices are posted online, and they're better. I ended up liking the atmosphere, too. It's a small place, with two separate spaces so you're not on display to the world - I know I'm not the only one who appreciates this - and it's cozy. It's welcoming. I loved the staff. They made me feel like i was an old friend who popped in. Real nice, genuinely friendly personalities. The kind of people you would be friends with. And the services? I was impressed, frankly. Latest techniques and modern trends, staff consulting eachother, and cuts showing natural talent. The colouring is worth noting, too. Colouring hair can be dicey. It's chemistry, it's experience and skill. We've all had colours that could have gone better. I was happy with the colour i got at Hairscapes. It was EXACTLY what I had communicated to them, and it's holding up really well. I'd recommend Hairscapes to anyone needing more reasonable prices, and to anyone who would prefer a quieter, cozier place. Also to anyone that has mobility issues, because not only can you park right outside the door but it's wheelchair accessible, something not many salons are.

Today I had the pleasure of getting my hair done at Hairscape. I have not had a cut for 3+ years and was ready for a change. I am also starting to go gray and was looking for an option to embrace this change gracefully rather than fight it. I met with Danielle and explained my concerns and she immediately "got it". My hair was down to my tailbone and I had decided to go with a length that ends at the bottom of my shoulder blades. We added long layers to give it more "movement" and lighten the weight. While cutting my hair, Danielle and I discussed options for working with my existing colour. My natural colour is dark ash blonde or even towards the brown tones. Added to that was some reddish gold blonde from a box colour I had applied myself which had now grown to the ends. Woven throughout was my own "gray" hair which is actually not gray but white. Danielle suggested adding lowlights to the ends and highlights to the top to give a more uniform look. Made perfect sense to me. I look forward to my next visit and having this done as the prices are great so I can actually afford to do it. In the meantime, I'm loving my new look and want to say a big thank you to Danielle. She got it spot on and gave me lots of good information. The people and the atmosphere were very friendly, easy going, and I felt like I had been there before. Thanks for making this experience such a positive one.

I've been going to see Annie at Hairscape for 5 years and I have always left completely satisfied with all the services I got from basic hair cut to getting a new colour and or highlights. After going on vacation in the winter I came back with the top of my head completely bleached from the sun with the rest of my hair still dyed brown and with so good positioning of foils to pull the colours together I left the salon with completely normal hair again! Best place in Barrie to get your hair done :)

My husband gets his hair grooming needs done by Annie on a regular basis who he trusts completely, including the occasional straight razor shave at which she's an expert. My mom got her hair cut and styled by Colleen last week and she was thrilled with the outcome and the care that Colleen provided. I had my first appointment with Hairscape today and Danielle did amazing work on my hair. I trusted her to cut, style, and colour my hair and she turned my dry, damaged hair into a beautiful masterpiece! THANK YOU, DANIELLE!!! One my first visit to Hairscapes both my stylist and the owner worked to get my colour just perfect. The atmosphere is one of friendliness and competence. Since I have some curl in my hair it can be difficult to cut. Cora got it just right the first time. I returned today for a second time and the colour and cut are perfect. The staff are friendly and put you right at ease. I hadn't had a cut in 6 months as the last hair dresser (different salon) butchered me pretty good. I have been without a "permanent " hair place for many years. Settling for in and out places and not liking the results just because I needed a haircut. I know, thats no excuse. Annie runs a crew of friendly perfectionists. Easy going and at times, hilarious atmosphere; the employees are more friends than co-workers. All cuts are extremely well done and under-priced for the service received. I highly recommend NEVER saying no to the straight razor, brings the whole experience together.

My first time having my haircut at this establishment. My roommate attends every time she needs her hair to be done, so I decided to give Hairscapes a try. I'm so glad I did. In honesty I did go back to where I was having my haircut, but I was not pleased with the result. My hair wasn't thinned as I asked it to be, & to me, the hair in certain spots looks choppy. SO, later this morning, I'll be calling Hairscapes to make an appointment for another cut. It looks as though Hairscapes will be my hair salon from here on in. Thanks, Hairscapes.!!!! :) I'm writing further as the internet site won't let me make yet another review. On Dec. 9, I went to Hairscapes & had a colour & trim. Debbie matched the colours for us to come up with what would look nice on me. As I was leaving the salon a number of people commented on how nice the results were. I was pleased (while there), but there must be a difference in the lighting because when I got home, the colour looked too dark for my liking. This isn't a complaint, just an observation. Next time I'll ask for yet a lighter shade. I will say that Debbie did a great job., but I guess it's just "one of those things" where lighting in a room can make a difference. Cheryl Aspinall

I came In to see Debbie yesterday at 2pm. What an overall great experience. I came in with some boring bright blonde hair one solid colour at chest length. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she made it happen !! She gave me the most beautiful colour with a darker root shadow, lo lights in the same shade as the shadow and took my already bright blonde hi lights and toned them into a stunning icy/grey colour. Cut my hair into a chic LOB and I am so inlove with it !! I have not been to a stylist in about 9 years and I hit the jackpot the first time I tried again. I can't wait to keep seeing Debbie for maintaining this beautiful colour and style.
