Every aspect works in harmony from the aesthetics of the store, the music they play, and the down to earth staff. You get high end treatments and styles with a small town local flare. Was my first time in a while getting a professional haircut and I really enjoyed the experience. I really liked that there is a gender neutral option for haircuts and booking appointments and was especially surprised to see that in Banff. A wash and cut came to around 60$ for my shorter/medium length before tip and as a local. Got to enjoy a coffee while Cat cut my hair. Cozy and cool interior design. Will come back!

The team at Beatnik have done my hair since they opened. They are by far the best salon in Banff and the Bow Valley. They are actually SO GOOD, I drive from Edmonton, AB (4.5+ hrs drive) to have them cut and colour my hair. The vibe at Beatnik is incredible, relaxed, and so accommodating. I love this salon so much, that when my friend decided to have a mountain wedding this year (and asked me to be a bridesmaid), there was only ONE SALON that was ever an option for the wedding day. The Beatnik team made their way to Emerald Lake Lodge during a SNOW STORM BLIZZARD to be able to do our hair and make-up the day of the wedding. Their commitment and professionalism were incredible. Thanks again for the great hair Beatnik!

I came to Beatnik for hair and makeup on the day of my wedding photos, and had a wonderful experience. My half-up, half-down bohemian hairstyle came out perfectly. All of the staff were kind and accommodating. I would recommend this salon to anyone. Reasonable prices as well. I'm from New York City, and the quality here at Beatnik was better than service I've paid double for in NYC. Great people doing great work!

If you aren't going to Beatnik then you are seriously missing out! I've had my hair done at many different salons here in town and never experienced anything like Beatnik. The staff are super friendly, welcoming, professional and amazing at what they do. I really appreciate how the focus is not only hair that looks great the first few hours of it being styled, but also hair that looks great everyday after and works for your daily life (even if you're like me and a ponytail is the extent of your styling) It's been a few months since I've had my hair done by Cassidy and I am still getting compliments! Highly recommended and will be back for sure! :)

Best salon in town. Cassidy and the gang always are on point. Super friendly, great community members. I have really challenging hair to cut and Cassidy always gets it right.
