Joey’s barbershop is a joke. Wait times are ridiculous because there’s only a couple decent barbers that everyone waits for and Joey isn’t one of them. Go to Rocco’s on 23 mile in Chesterfield or Old Glory in Shelby Twp (both barbers worked for Joey and left). Don’t waste your time at Joey’s.

Last time I checked 09/16/16 haircut = $12 that's not including tip don't be cheap I give $20 or $22 bc they do a really good job I drive 23 miles to get my haircut by Joey. That should tell you all you need to know right there. No appointments Pay attention who's there when you walk in they will be seen first before you and who comes in after you. It's first come first seen unless your waiting for a specific barber then you wait normal order and wait for your barber. All the barber's are really good

first time we went it was the best hair cut my son and husband got. Went back a day before my wedding and the gentleman who cut their hair previously was out due to medical reasons. So he went with another barber. WORST MISTAKE! the guy butchered my fiancee's hair and refused to cut my autistic sons hair because he wanted to sit in the kids chair.

This is the spot to get your hair cut. There's usually a wait but they have a sign in sheet and you can go next barber or write your preferred barber and wait your turn. Every cut comes out nice.

Both my boys won’t go anywhere else. It’s a good and bad thing only because the wait is looonnnnnggggg! And no appointments are taken. We are usually there for a good 2 hours minimum. So as a parent to have to take them is a commitment. But they always love their hair and Ethan is amazing!! Very particular! And has great customer repour skills. For his age, very hard to find . Keep that gem!! Just hope one day that the business changes as far as catering more to the customers to cut down on wait times.

Walked in and no greeting, okay no big deal. Sat down and waited way too long, okay I can be patient. It was when I was called up and saw the floor around the chair was not swept, I can get passed this but there was also hair all over the seat, I had to ask the barber to wipe it off and all he did was just swat at it with the cover, I had to clear off the rest myself. Not only that, but the environment was awful. I'm all for an open dialogue, but all the barbers did was talk to each other and their regulars. Engage with the customers in your chairs! Don't make them feel uncomfortable to even be there which is how I felt. My barber barely said a word to me and even got on his phone! I will not be going here again.

Great atmosphere, love the conversations that goes on. Ethan is the man if you want a tight fade. I've been in every barber's chair and always received a good cut. Just keep in mind its walk in only and you will be waiting. But if you want a quick cut go to great clips. If you want a great cut I suggest you wait or get there early. Also cash only.

These guys do a great job. I've only had Nick and Ronnie cut my hair but from observing the other barbers cutting other customer's hair, they all do an awesome job. When I moved up here from Florida, I was going to Rocco's barbershop, they do an awesome job too but some of the barbers seem to favor other customers and put them before others. I know Rocco started at Joey's and he's a cool dude but these guys at Joey's seem to treat everyone the same. Highly recommend getting your hair cut here.

No political debates, mostly sports talk and hey how you doing interaction between you and the Barber that makes you feel like a family member is giving you a cut! This place seems to have a good group of barbers and I’m very particular about where I get my hair cut. I walked into Joeys and asked if someone could fix a major screw up from another hair salon I went to. The gentleman who’s name I didn’t get that cut my hair did a great job (especially since I was diligent enough to show him exactly what I wanted). However, he was dismissive after a certain point in time and I felt intimidated by a lack of patience he had. If you’re tedious with your hair or would like someone who’s patient with their clients, I wouldn’t recommend this place. If your hair is easy to cut or if you don’t have anxiety about getting a bad haircut, by all means go. Advice to the business: Show a little more empathy towards people who can’t find a consistent barber or hair stylist. Nobody is perfect, but you might retain a lot more clientele if you keep this in mind. Thanks for the experience.

Was looking for a barber shop rather a chain in a strip mall. I've known about Joey's or a while but always thought it was too far to drive for a haircut. After my first visit I realized how wrong I was. Its an old school "barber shop" feeling where there is never a lack of great conversation. Highly recommend my man nick who does a great job, as well as the owner, Joey himself. Wish I would have made this switch years ago.
