I took my extremely picky teenager for the first time today. Hrach was recommended by numerous friends but unfortunately due to Covid I had no chance of arranging a haircut until today. The barber shop is very clean, the staff is very friendly. My son sat at the chair sharp at the time that was booked. Hrach did a very clean and tidy job and did not charge an arm and a leg. I drove all the way from North York because I had no choice (we are still in grey zone). Definitely will drive as many times as needed to get this high end service again. Highly recommended!

Just had my hair cut at this place for the first time. I was wondering how a place could be rated 5.0 with over 150 reviews so it was partly my curiousity about that which made me want to try them out (and also not having a haircut for months). It was also very easy to book an appointment online which made the decision easy. After receiving my cut, I have to say they live up to their fine reviews. I was lucky to have Hero himself cut my hair and found him to be passionate about his craft, friendly, and super slick with the shears. They were also very clean and cautious with their COVID precautions, making me feel safe. The cut was great, too! I believe they have just earned themselves a new regular. Thanks, Hero!

Came here on a whim. I was a regular at Starks barber in Unionville for a while. One day I needed a quick haircut and called Hero's beacuse I was down the road. Fit me in for 30 mins later, perfect. I met Jay and he gave me the best haircut I've gotten in while. The big difference I feel is attention to detail. I don't feel like I'm being rushed to seat more ppl. Jay always takes his time and makes sure he does everything to perfection. If you have a beard 100% you have to get a trim, it's the best in the city forsure.

We moved to this area last summer and been looking for the right barber shop for a very long time. couple unsuccessful experiences at Markville Mall barbershop later, we checked out this place and with five star reviews and all these amazing comments, thought we should give this place a try. I have to admit that if it is possible to give them over five stars you should definitely do! Very professional ,absolutely amazing hairstylest and the price is great too! I had an appointment with Hero and from the moment I walked in today, it was nothing but friendly and welcoming! Very professional, excellent customer service and people skills and you can just sense the passion and pride Hero had in his work and business. Asked me all questions necessary to give me the look I was looking for and answered my questions about how often I should come back (first time I've been to a barber in over 20 years, been doing it myself). He's more than a barber, he is a master of his craft. You don't just got there for a cut - you go there for the insight, recommendations on how to groom better, speciality products, hot towel service, and most of all the great conversation. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my son was hesitant to get his hair cut and decided to grow it out. After 6 months, he had enough and we went to Hero's Barbershop. This place is fantastic!!! Any anxiety was quickly gone the minute we entered. As we entered there was a station to hand sanitize and a box of disposable face masks, in case clients forgot to wear one. Social distancing was in place, the hairstylists wore a face mask, face shield. A plastic barrier between stylist chairs. The place was constantly cleaned and sanitized! The service was wonderful, the people are super friendly and talented hair stylist. Highly, highly recommend this place!!!! FANTASTIC!

Hi Everyone! The place to go if you want a great cut! My son has been seeing his Barber " Hiro " we've been seeing him now for the past few years he is our go to ! Its true they make you feel welcomed, if you need advice just ask him he will tell you what works when cutting your hair if they feel otherwise which is also nice to know because it shows that they care and want you to get a sweet clean styled cuts, they make conversations all the time, yes complimentary drinks (pop/water) you get which is a generous thing to do in return a little something can go a long way! Their customer service is great ! They are also great not only with the adults but with the children and for the younger ones they have a cute room to make them feel comfortable when they got to get their hair cut! Overall when I come to watch my son get his hair cut all the barbers here are excellent in cutting you wont regret it I wouldn't go to any other barber! You will be pleased try them out ;)

I can't say enough about this place and specifically about Dion as he always makes my beard look incredible when he's done. I always walk out looking great and feeling even better and the best part is I don't have to break the bank. I was tired of paying $100 plus to get a haircut and have my bread cut, shaped and styled until I went to Dion. Depending on what you want of course, you'll pay way less than $100 and feel like a million when you leave, so happy I found this place and more importantly Dion as he's definitely the guy. You can book online and they will send you a confirmation via email and text. They also send you a COVID-19 waiver for everyone’s safety. I had an appointment with Hero, and he was a class act. As this was my first visit, he took his time to make sure that everything was perfect. Great fade. The place was clean and they followed proper sanitizing of their work stations. All in all, I got a great haircut, great conversation, and a great experience! I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!!!

Why go to a place for a $40 basic cut if the work is not consistently good? I have had my hair cut 3 times by Hero and my experience has gotten worse each time. The first time he was attentive and the cut was well done (a short fade with a textured top). I thought I found my go to barber. Second time, I was the only customer in the shop. The cut was mediocre. The shape was OK but the details were sloppy. Third time he was having a loud conversation with someone across the room and gave me a terrible cut. Shape was wonky and details not sharp. I looked like I just left a $10 joint. The search for a consistent barber continues. (sigh)

Hero's Barber Shop is a great new addition to Main Street Markham. Located near Highway 7 on Main. Ample parking behind the shop (on Washington Street) which is a huge bonus if you frequent the various shops or visit any of the businesses on Main Street, Markham. It can be crazy & frustrating to find parking. I took my 5 1/2 year old son in for a haircut with Hero last Saturday. The barber shop is very clean, trendy & set up beautifully. Comfortable seating while you wait, cold beverages, music playing. The best part of the experience is he takes the time to ask specifics as to what you're looking for and he is great with kids and very patient. He's very experienced with fades & cuts which makes a HUGE difference and ensures a nice clean cut! A lot of barber shops we've been to, haven't been able to do both. He has a nice set up for infants & toddlers to ensure a fun & great experience while they are getting their haircuts. My son used to hate getting his haircut when he was a bit younger. After his visits to Hero for his cute & fade, he now looks forward to each visit. My hubby is super picky when it comes to his own cut & fade. He has been going to the same guy 40 minutes away for the past 8 years. He also had a great experience with Hero when he had his first cut with him. Hero is very professional and a master at his craft!

This place is great, the owner did such a good job. I took my brother there to get a hair cut for his graduation and he loved it. My brother is not a easy man to please, he been getting hair cut from family members that are top hair dresser for Asian hair, and pays big money for good hair dressers to style and cut his hair. Not every barber or hair dresser can cut Asian hair, but he was able to. The hair cut was so good that even after a couple of days the hair still looks great like it was just cut. He was also the only person that convince my brother, the hair style he wants would not look good with his face shape and to just leave it in his hands, and I am glad he did. He looked 100% better with the style and the type of cut he gave him. When a barber can do that I know they are worth the money, time and a try. Highly recommend and the price is the best for the talent and skills you are paying for.

Hero's barbershop was the best experience I had in a long time with a barber. He was incredibly knowledgeable, gave advise on products and how they could affect my hair long term. He instantly recognized what my previous barber had been doing improperly, and was able to fix it. I've never been happier with a haircut!
