We've gone here a few times as our usual lady is sometimes booked up. I love the old Original chairs. From when they 1st opened. Im talking Very old chairs, in great shape even have the old cigarette tray on the arm rest! No smoking of course but They are so cool! They usually can get us in right away for a quick cut. They lady's are barbours and know what they are doing.

I was home from Toronto for a funeral and asked for a recommendation for an "old school" Barbershop. Joe's was the first one I received, without hesitation. Debbie cut my hair, freehand mind you; exactly what I wanted and at a very, fair price. In addition, the warmth and wit of the atmosphere (including the customers) served as a reminder of what a wonderfully, unique place Newfoundland is! Thank you Debbie! Really bad. The older blonde lady who was working (the only employee there) did not acknowledge me when I came in, and when it was my turn to get cut she did not speak a word to me, yet she was talking up a storm to every other customer. Along with her refusal to acknowledge my existence, her facial expressions while she was cutting my hair seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else - a very miserable woman. P.S. Do not go here if you have thick/curly hair as I do and she did not know what she was doing and kind of butchered it.
