Good barbershop; however, don't expect exceptional service. The owner of the shop, Terry, takes his time when cutting hair. Sam is okay but he rushes his haircuts and doesn't exactly listen to your requests. George, however, should not be cutting hair and may consider a career as a butcher or donut baker as that is all he does - eating donuts- while waiting for the next unsuspecting victim to walk thorough the door and who leaves his chair simply massacred.

The first time I went, he did an okay job at best. Fade looked mostly alright. But then the next time I went, despite me telling him three separate times "don't cut off my beard, I'm growing it out" he cut it off anyway to like a half inch from the three inches it was. And then after, when I tried to voice my displeasure he said "oh did you want it shorter?" And then charged me for a beard trim. Will sooner go full Grizzly Adams than let someone in that shop touch my hair again.

I recently moved to Edmonton and was recommended to check this place out. Let me start by saying I am REALLY picky about the way my hair is cut and Ihab has not let me down. On the first visit, Ihab took extra time to listen to my requests, look at pictures of my cut from my previous barber, and make suggestions that I never would have thought of. I'll be going to Ihab for as long as he keeps cutting hair. I even recommend my friends from Winnipeg get a haircut here when they come to visit.

Been coming here for 4 years. Adults: 17$ for an average cut. 15$ for a beard. 30$ for both. If you like a good haircut this is the place. Terry is the owner and George is my primary cutter. One day when it's less busy Ill get a good picture of the shop. Kid Cuts are very welcome here. Seems like Terry loves to upgrade the place to keep making it better, adding features, shop designs, comfort things.

This is THE barbershop to go to, it is the best in the city hands down. My brother is a regular here and Fayez never fails to impress with the excellent quality he gives. He is a quiet guy but his haircut definitely speaks for itself. So much precision, talent, and great technique. What makes the Original Barbershop so special is that you don't feel like a client, you always feel like a friend. The staff are very welcoming, funny, and generous. Terry the owner is the best, gives amazing cuts, the cleanest shaves, and he is so kind hearted. He also has a lot of patience with kids' cuts. George specializes in senior's haircuts. Nick is a new addition to the team and has already become a pro in his work. That is what happens when you are surrounded by the best, you become the best. These guys always go above and beyond to give you the best service- especially with COVID and all the restrictions, you can tell they care a lot about the customers' safety. They take appointments, are very organized, and always make sure to keep everything sanitized and clean. Fair prices, amazing team, talented barbers... the list goes on and on. These guys definitely deserve way more than 5 stars.

I've been going to the Original Barbershop on 97 st since I moved to Edmonton in 2012. This establishment is always clean, updated, organized and the staff are friendly. Terry the main man knows all his customers and always wants to know what is new in his clients lives. I always love my hair when I leave the barber shop and almost always get a hot shave. I have nothing but good experiences and feel good stories about " my barber shop ". I would always recommend to people that they take there fade game to the next level and check out The Original Barbershop, the best in the business!

This place has went so far down in quality. I used to frequent this shop but now I will never go again. I paid for a hot shave and haircut, waited 2 hours for the "better" barber just to be rushed as they are closing soon. My beard is now patchy and uneven. If you have to go there I recommend that you ONLY see Terry the owner. He is a nice guy and amazing Barber, it is sad to see the quality of the others there

They made me feel very welcomed. They were funny and friendly, my barber even put my glasses on for me every few minuets so I could see how my hair cut was. They were also very talented barbers. I simply showed them a picture of the hair cut I wanted and they nailed it right on. I would totally recommend anyone to go here and I will continue to come here

Been going here since they have opened. All the barbers are great at their jobs. I have noticed over the years some things have gotton slack. Like the use to use a straight razor for the back of the neck any lines and around the face. Now they just use the electric razor. They used to use hot shaving cream now they don't. They used to put after shave on after the straight razor. Some have even started using a electric razor for the top of the head instead of scissors. For such a skilled team of barbers I hope they can find their way again.

A small shop but well known, I make my drive from the south side to north side because you get great service and quality for the price you pay. My 3 boys and I usually get our cuts from Faiz but there are a couple other barbers who do top notch fades or cuts. Sidenote: I do notice how articulate they are with shaves with straight blades on beards or facial hair. I can't really grow it but I do appreciate their expertise in this scope of work. They mostly do walk ins on a first come first serve basis. And are typically busy. But they do get you in and out rather quickly while still delivering such great styling.

Asked for a beard trim and shaping, got my beard butchered so it looks terrible now and a brush won't help the cause. Good thing my beard grows fairly quickly so this abomination on my face gets fixed. They are a friendly staff and the hair fade looks good, but I won't trust my beard with them anymore.
