Are you a man? If you answered yes this is the place for you. The place itself is sublime, right from the first moment you know your in the right place. The service my boyfriend received from HAS was,the best hair cutting experience ever had , he took the time to consult with him before hand and then again verified before any major cutting took place. my boyfriend always nervous to let others at my beard but the care and attention to detail here means that is a thing of the past. Also his recommendation for a Coffee at Waves house was on point ,play station 4 fifa 18 , NHL19 and the ability to choose music was awesome Needless to say we will be back. Best barber in all of Calgary. The owner, Has, is a professional. He knows what he’s doing. I got a low skin fade, and he took his time with it, and even cleaned up my beard. Only barber I’ll be going back to. Fair prices too, under $30 for a low skin fade. I actually forgot what it was like to get a quality haircut. My first time visiting there but will be coming back every 2-3 weeks. ????????

Please support this local business - why? Well the owner whose name is Has is awesome and he takes great pride in his haircuts. He has great stories about his life in Africa and Europe and how he reinvented himself by opening this fairly new barbershop. I love the concept of a barbershop at the rear of the Waves coffee shop. BTW it's not easy to spot Magnum but once you find it you will go back every time. I live locally and it's great to finally have a friendly professional barber in this part of 17th. Support Has - he is an entrepreneur and a great barber, and he is everything we love about Canada. You will also love the 4k TV and PS4 while you wait! Oh and you can book your haircut online so that you don't have to wait!

The most reliable and convenient barbershop in downtown Calgary, Whenever you need a cut and need to head downtown, you already know this is the spot. He is open late and openly accepts walk-ins. Make sure to get any type of fade with Has as I have never had a better fade than by him. He takes his time with every haircut. By far the best fade I have gotten in Calgary since I moved here 3 years ago. I have tried 4 different barber shops before finding Magnum and I am so happy I gave it a chance. It is clear that the barber (Has) has excellent training and he really cares about giving the best haircut possible. If all that wasn't enough, Has also cares about the overall experience and the hygiene and safety in his shop. Just got my second haircut from Magnum Barbershop today. After my first one, everyone at work was commenting on how great my hair looked, so I figured I’d better come back! I can’t remember the name of the owner/barber unfortunately but he is a great man. He does a great job with my hair and even offered to do some small touch ups on my beard. He’s a hard working man and its unfortunate about the construction on 17th ave right now that is dragging on too long and hurting a lot of businesses. I hope he’s able to keep customers coming in and coming back and based off all the reviews here it looks very likely! I haven’t even mentioned the prices yet but they are very affordable, especially for the quality you get! And as a plus, he’s got a PlayStation with a few games setup for walk-ins to play while they are waiting. If you’re thinking about coming here for a cut. Do it!

First time being to Magnum and it was amazing, staff was extremely friendly and HAS cut my hair perfectly! He took his time and didnt rush it just to get it done, he worked with a lot of precision and attention to detail. I went in thinking the hairstyle i wanted might not work but figured id try it out and he made it work perfectly and recommended a great product to use to keep my hairstyle looking great. Definitely would recommend going to Magnum barbershop to anyone and to go see HAS as he does amazing work!

Best haircut I've had since I've lived here in Calgary! Usually barbershops just mass produce the same short back and sides no matter what style you ask for, but this was way above the rest. Great vibes as soon as you walk in, was playing Fifa on a huge screen and choosing music while I waited, great hair cut and exactly what I was going for... and to top it off free coffee! Not only does he deliver an amazing cut every time, but he is very easy to talk to and makes good conversation. I have to say, it’s a difficult thing to find a barber that you can TRUST! Let alone someone your kids will trust. I have to say, magnum Barbershop was amazing on my first and subsequent visits. What I appreciated the most were that the barber takes pride in what he does, he is definitely a skilled barber, and he actually has an eye for what looks good. It's funny how things work out, I recently moved on to 17th Ave, drove all the way down to Canyon Meadows to get my haircut from my regular barber. Got there only to find out that he had a three guys before me and was closing in half an hour. Dejected, was driving back and hit my google to find me barbers open now (Saturday 7pm). This place shows up, I called him, he told me to come over, and so I did. First of all, the idea of having a barber shop next to a coffee shop, best thing ever, coffee freak and hate waiting aimlessly. Had a coffee while I waited. He gave me the TV remote to use and make myself comfortable, etc etc. Comes turn, I told him what I wanted, since I have a receding hairline, I am always nervous about guys just giving me the regular haircut and I start to look 10 years older than my age. Has listened to me carefully and then did his magic. Great with his scissors, I kinda judge the barber by his scissors, not the machine runs. I asked for my beard to be faded as well, and so he did, again meticulously done. Took his time to make sure all the angles were right and the fade was seamless. I think I have found my new haircut place, without going through the process of 3 bad haircuts before you settle with a new guy. Summing it up; skilled guy, great location, superb atmosphere !!!
