I LOVE KITH & KIN!! I am a woman with short edgy hair, I prefer the skills I get from a barbershop but often feel uncomfortable going to a men's barber shop as a female. But I just want the same kinda awesome quick cut without all the fuss... Also, I want a sweet fade and great scissor skills. I instantly felt so welcome and got the greatest cut from Heather! Support this shop, they are still pretty new and they aim to support local artists and community and I'm all for that!

Had a great haircut here with Heather. She’s fun, friendly and very clearly knows her stuff. Within a couple minutes we had a great plan for fixing a bad haircut I got from somewhere else. Nice small shop with easy to access street parking. Will definitely go back!

The owner took the time to talk with me, get a feel for what I needed and walked me through each step. Great communication from start to finish. She pointed out some issues with my previous cut & gave me great recommendations. Very professional, meticulous, knows her craft and it was immediately obvious that she loved what she does. Great location and amazing customer service. I was looking for a Barbershop in Calgary downtown that was open after COVID-19. Kith & Kin is conveniently located and still central to all the greatest bars & restaurants. My barber Heather was by far the best I've ever had- when I arrived I happened to be the only client, she quickly got me seated and ask how I wanted a cut. As such a simple man I told her something similar to what I had but also a style my wife would like. Heather! I couldn't thank you enough! I feel great, look fresh and stylish and my wife couldn't keep her hands off- perfect ???????? I highly recommend this place for any man who is looking for a perfect cut for their style.

First time coming in for a cut and it was an excellent experience. I have medium to long length hair so I was skeptical to what service I would receive from a barbershop concerning a touch up, not any of the classic short styles. My dresser was Ella, a recent apprentice. Ella was terrific. She had a very professional and welcoming demeanour. She asked specifically what I wanted to do with my hair and communicated well, providing small updates as she went along. Only demerit concern the space itself, the shop is a little cramped and you'll find dressers and barbers working around each other. Not a problem for me, but might be for some who want a bit more privacy during their cut. Otherwise the shop has a great atmosphere and charming staff. Great experience, will likely return.

I went twice to Kith&Kin and will definitely keep going there for a cut. They ask the right questions to give you the best service and result wanted. The first time I walked in without appointment and Heather took me in. She was very friendly and professional and did an amazing job. The 2nd time, I booked a week ahead and was late to my appointment because of a flight delay coming back into town. Donovan still took me in and went above and beyond, staying in late, making sure I looked fresh for a trip to Mexico. If you need a barber in the downtown area, this is the place to go.

I got a haircut from the apprentice. She did a great job. Looking around, I could see the skill with the regular barbers/stylists. They seem to know clients names which leads me to believe they get a lot of repeat business. Would definitely recommend.

The hairdressers here are very skilled and professional. The environment is welcoming and friendly. They always hon our appointments and have not been late before. The price for a male hair cut is also cheaper than most places. For those worried about COVID protocols, all the staff and customers were wearing PPE and following protocols. I'm rather picky with hairdressers, so this review should say a lot.

I have been a client since they opened. I see Heather for a classic cut every month and I will not go anywhere else. I choose a barbershop mainly for how well they cut my hair but also for the atmosphere. You can tell Heather has years of experience and I am always happy with the cut. I enjoy the conversation with her and the other barbers at the shop. They play great music and the space is always clean and organized. I noticed they adapted very well during Covid and made everyone feel safe. You really feel you are part of a family when visiting. I highly recommend this shop. Great cuts and a great vibe.
