This is the best barbershop I have been to in a very long time. It’s hard to find good barbers nowadays and Ray is a very good barber that knows what’s best for haircuts. Highly recommended!

First time at the barbershop and it was a great experience. I walked in and was greeted quickly. While I was waiting, the conversation was pleasant and included everyone on the shop. My time in the chair (which was very comfortable) was quick. Even though I had a shaggy mane and never been there before, the barber was smart enough to know what I wanted for a cut. The care and attention he gives is exceptional (especially because he carries on a conversation while doing it). You can see his eyes focus when he's making the finishing touches. (Clearly he takes pride in his work.) The cut was very affordable too. I remember this shop from when I was just a kid. Glad a capable and passionate barber has grabbed the reins. I'll be back. And I definitely recommend trying this shop out.

My man went to a horrible barber on 79st and 101 ave. He wanted a simple fade and a beard trim, She butchered it. We googled 'best barber shops' in Edmonton and came across Goldbar barber shop and it had amazing reviews so we hit er' up to get my man fixed up. Ray saved the day, he's legit a Ray of sunshine. Don't waste time searching other options, just come here. You'll leave VERY satisfied.

May 3, 2021 I have been going to Goldbar Barber Shop since they opened in 2015 or 2016. I was living a three-minute walk down the alley at the time, and I just walked in. Last year, I was living thirty minutes away, but I made the drive every time. I will NOT go anywhere else. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they have been scheduling appointments that, because of extenuating circumstances, I ended up cancelling right before my scheduled times. However, the staff were polite, respectful, and accommodating each time. I highly recommend that everyone go at least once. I have been going to Mario for my hair since I was a teenager. He was my barber when he ran Mario's hair salon in Beaumont. After a couple years of wondering where he went and going to his nephew in Beaumont, I found him yet again. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair!

What can I say - the man with the golden hands, (and the original driving force behind Marios Original Barbershop downtown) is back at it - now at Goldbar Barbershop, and boy am I excited! The best fade in the city in a super old school barber shop. If you didn't have a chance to get a cut and shave from Mario before - here's your chance! It's walk in only - so - there's no booking weeks in advance - and since it's a traditional barbershop (they only cater to men), the wait times are always super short (if you have to wait....) Pricing is solid and fair - you're not overpaying to have your head "serviced" like some other places, just a great old fashioned haircut and bulls**t session with the man himself. Treat yourself to looking your best - but be warned, you'll be addicted once you do.

The lady who was there last year was always such a lovely person to talk to and always did well with my hair. Relatively inexpensive! The place itself is small but they get to you p fast, my only issue is the place is a little on the grimy side at times, it could use a good deep clean. Otherwise no complaints!

I started going there about 3 years ago, different owner then but same great service. I'm 62 with mostly white hair, had cancer so it's not as full as it used to be but heck I don't know anyone who doesn't want to shine up a little right. The new owner is about 30, forgive me if I'm wrong please, but he is fast good and very reasonable 18$ for a cut. He is a favorite with the younger men with both trendy styles and beard trims, very versatile. Friendly and as time goes on remembers what you like but still will ask and not assume you dont want to change things up. When I leave I feel a little better about myself and that is a good feeling to have, Lol.
