Absolutely terrible. Not sure what it is with currency places but they always seem to be run by sketchy guys. Called to exchange 5000 US to CAD. Told that they didn't want my business at 450pm when they close at 5pm. Apparently..too much paperwork? Wow. Well they won't be getting my business EVER.

Ali and his staff are amazing people. I have been dealing with Express Currency Exchange in White Rock since they opened and have used their services to move large amounts of currency to buy a cabin in the USA, and every year for our annual vacation funds in Mexico. My Wife and I have never had anything but the best of service and very fair rates. Today I was in a pich today November 18 2020 and needed a small amount of cash in an exact amount to deal with a USCBP fee importing a boat to the USA, it was close to closing and I called Ali, he waited for me with the funds waiting for me and saving the day... The owner or manager in front is unprofessional and slightly creepy. While the ladies up front are nice, he really makes you feel uncomfortable. Stay away at all cost.

Terrible place! They have ridiculous rules. And it feels like they will ban you if you question them on their ridiculousness. Perfect example of, when you give a great rate, customer service doesn't matter. And they are closed today because it's cold out. They call a little cold "Extreme Weather" pathetic business!

These guys have incredible rates compared to everyone else in the area. They run a no BS business which is why they seem do have rubbed some people the wrong way in these reviews. They are fast, offer great pricing and are courteous. I only go to these guys even if it means more time on the road driving out to them.

I called just to ask how much it would cost me to buy $300USD. The guy who answered told me "for every $100 is $X" in a tone of voice like he was just annoyed, i couldn't even tell what the amount he said was. I asked him if he could just tell me how much it would be for the $300 and he rudely said it'll be like "300 something"... the whole reason i called you was to ask for exact amount! he couldnt be bothered to type in a couple numbers on his computer to just tell me, then went on a speil basically saying it is what it is and why I even wanted to know! I told him because i was comparing prices, he asked me "well compare with who"... basically grilling me about why I was wasting his time! Somewhere in his ranting he managed to say it would be $X, I had to stop him to just say that that's all I needed to know. I don't know what this dudes problem was but he just sounded like I was being a bother by asking the most common question that they get over the phone. I ended up calling another company who told me the price right away. If express currency management is reading this, whoever that employee was needs to learn some people skills because he drove away a customer with just 1 phone call.

Sent pictures of a gold coin I wanted to sell , they quoted me $1070 cdn. I bought this coin from a reputable coin dealer in the USA, it was a 1932 10 dollar Indian head gold coin. When I went in the owner looked at the coin and said it was a fake and only paid me $955. I feel I was taken advantage of because I am a senior and not dealt with fairy, will never take any gold to him again.. Here is the pictures of that coin, you be the judge,

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Never have I experienced such condescending and rude customer service anywhere in my life, Svetla (or however you spell her name) is either the owner's mother or wife? She told me to wait 25 mins before she would serve me, talked about me and made nasty comments about me to another staff member while I was standing right there and then continued to talk down to me. You don't deserve my business or anyone else's. I will make sure to spread the news about this place so no one has to experience what I did. There are so many better places, even in the same area, try BC Currency Exchange instead, they actually have manners. In response to the owners reply: I just called your business and she answered so clearly you are a liar and that makes me wonder as previous reviewers have stated, what else are you lying about?

I have used the Currency Exchange on multiple occasions. I have found their rates are very competitive and definitely better than any bank. The service by two staff members on two recent visits was excellent. Follow up by the owner Ali was also a very nice. I would definitely recommend this company.

Beware of this business. I was shortchanged $100. I figured it would be no problem getting the money back, as the $100 would show up on books that day. First he told me " You know how many people a day phone me and tell me that?" Well, doesn't that tell you something? He then said, no it was not there, I probably spent it somewhere else. I know I gave them $600 and only received $500 in Pesos. The $100 went somewhere, but not to me. I would not recommend Express Currency Exchange. A reputable company would have had it on the balance sheet and returned the money.

My first time buying gold and silver so I went to this local supplier and had them walk me through the process. I made some bad decisions when I split between the gold and silver. No problem. They fixed everything for me before I left their store and even saved me a few dollars as well. They get a solid A+ in patience with a first time buyer. Nice people, good service and good value.

Good staff. The rate is almost always what is posted on their website, unlike the other currency exchanges which post a rate equal to the competition and charge higher rates when you get there. This company seems honest.

Bought £1000 on May 12th in various denominations.. the 5 pounds notes we received two versions of it. Wasn’t until we got to London that we were told we couldn’t use them. When we got home we told them thru gave us old and unusable notes.. they basically called us liars and refused to take the notes back. What’s funny is that we only had two £5 worth roughly $17 CAD.. so they’ve lost our business and the rest of our family’s business. If they’re willing to lose our future business over $17, it makes you wonder what else they’re up too.

I sent an email asking about information about Egyptian pounds, they responded to please call the store. So I call, and I said Hi i inquired about Egyptian pounds, and the lady on the other side was extremely rude she simply said "we are unable to get Egyptian pounds at this time" and hung up on me. So why make me call the store just to be rude, seemed like an easy enough thing to put in the email you sent me. Will never go there now.

Went to this place because of the reviews i saw here and they were not wrong. Super helpful person; great rates — even got a better rate when i went there than the quoted rate on the screen because when i called they quoted a certain rate to me but when i got there later in the day all rates had been updated, but the guy met me in the middle between what he quoted over the phone and what was now the new rate on the screen.
