I have had bad experiences in the past with lawyers not returning calls, responding to emails, overbilling, crappy advocacy etc. Come to think of it, I am not sure I have ever had a lawyer that was 'worth it'. Mr. Hamilton has renewed my faith in lawyers, and greatly exceeded my expectations. He responds promptly to what are likely annoying requests, even in the evenings, weekends and when on holiday with his family. His rate is more than reasonable, and I would dare say he is not charging enough for the level of service he provides. We had the unfortunate problem with someone that didn't pay their bill, and initiated proceedings as self-represented litigants. Mr. Hamilton was more than willing to provide unbundled legal services, and guide us through the complexity of the Supreme Court of BC. When we retained him directly to perform our Examinations, he grasped the essence of our messy file in no time flat, and knocked those examinations out of the park. A truly talented lawyer. When we had trouble paying our bill, Mr. Hamilton and Cook Roberts graciously went out of their way to make arrangements that worked for us - and continued to provide service!
