Not exactly knowledgeable staff. I went in and had about 5 questions about some high end headphones. The only one he could answer was that yes they were in stock. I went home and did my own research and purchased them on Amazon. Too bad as I would have liked to purchase them locally. Edit: After reaching out to Best Buy Canada on Instagram, we were put in touch with the Assistant Manager at the Timmins store within a day, and he was awesome! He has rectified all issues and we now have a new monitor, shipped right to our home. Cory: thank you and your team for the awesome service! We are so thankful!! Extremely disappointed in the service we have received so far. We drove 2.5 hours and dropped off a $900 Dell monitor to the Timmins location to be fixed, it was still under warranty and we were assured it would be taken care of. That was September 9th, 2021. It is now November 10th and we have not heard anything from the store. We have tried calling customer service multiple times, but the associate who took the monitor did not give us a work order receipt, only a "check in receipt" meaning that the receipt we have contains no information (work order number, receipt number etc) for customer service to look our service order up by. The Timmins store has no direct line, and the customer service agents we have spoken to have said there is no way to contact the store by phone or e-mail. We live rural and are 2.5 hours away from the store, so we can't just drop in to check on it. When asked how district managers get in contact with the store managers, they said they didn't know. There must be some way to contact the store directly, but so far no luck. As of right now we are planning a trip to the store, but that is up in the air due to work and other commitments. Right now it seems like we are out a $900 monitor with no way to check on the status of it. We think it was stolen, or is sitting in the store somewhere unattended. Terrible, terrible situation and EXTREMELY frustrating!!

Truly enjoyed the service I received from Best Buy in Timmins. I had a tablet that went on the fritz. I had the receipt, but unfortunately it was past 30 days. The Best Buy in Sudbury (where it was bought) could not care less, told me to Google the manufacturer. Thankfully that same day I had to travel to Timmins for business, and lo and behold! They exchanged the defective tablet for a new one. Thanks Best Buy Timmins!

Very poor Supervising skills. I bought a laptop which was sale on Black Friday and which they didn't have it in stock at the store so we went on and placed the order online to be shipped to the store and it said that the product would be shipped by 3rd of December. Two weeks didn't receive my product, checked online it only says shipping label gas been created. So decided to go to the store and find out what was happening, the supervisor spoke to the help desk and got them call me back and placed a lost shipment complaint and emailed me saying they would get back to me in 5-7 business days. Meanwhile they had the product in the store when I went to speak to them after weeks and would refuse to give me one of their stock and replace it with the mine once it's shipped to the store. 26 Days later I still haven't received my product which I already paid for and also wouldn't get a refund . I understand shipping during holiday season is tough but why wouldn't they give me one from the store and replace with mine once shipped and also wouldn't give my money back. Wouldn't allow me to cancel my too. Saying the e-mails states 5-7 business days you got two more days . Haha.. Very bad experience The rest if the staff was good . The supervisors lack skills. Need more customer problem solving supervisors not just blame on shipping and e-mails. Thank you

They actually all seem to enjoy working there which is really important in any place you walk in, if they are passionate or they like what they are doing they are more helpful. I did buy quiet a few things there, sometimes the price isint what it says when I look at it... And they always take off 10$ for any mistakes made. It happened twice to me recently... Buying and Xbox and a really nice headset. They have the best deals in town electronic wise... I wouldn't go anywhere else. The variety is so great. And theres a price for everyone.

A whole lot of employees having conversations with each other, a really grouchy Cell Shop employee and 15 minutes to be acknowledged/served. Not a surprise there weren't many customers in the store. The bright spot was the guy getting paid to say hello and goodbye to people was pleasant. I definitely won't go back. It's the 3rd time we've been there since it switched from Future Shop, and each time was less than stellar.

I have 3 years old laptop acer. I use it once a month for a couple of hours only so it is in very good condition and fast. I have always antivirus on my computer. I have always used kaspersky. but this year I downloaded Mcafee protection. After the installation of that antivirus my computer had no issue. But about a month after the istallation of Mcafee, when i opened my laptop it was too slow. I tried to run antivurus but antivirus didnot work. it showed only 1% complete. so i visited timmins bestbuy store and talked to the guy who was working on geeksquad section. without touching and looking at the computer, the guy said if your antivirus is not running that means your hard disc is gone and it costs more than $400 to repair it or you can buy new laptop. when i asked what causes damage to the disc then he said you may have dropped. then i said i have never dropped it. then he says only moving the computer might cause that problem. I was shocked when he said only moving a laptop in a desk damages the hard disc. then i said are you sure. he added " yes I had that with my brand new computer". i was not ready to accept that my hard disc needs to be changed because it is always super fast. so I brought my computer back home . When i got home i tried to run the antivirus. With multiple attempts, antivirus worked and my computer is super fast as before. no brand new computer can beat it. so i dont know yet what was the issue with my laptop but my experience with best buy was terrible.

Our local Best Buy has a decent staff that are loaded with information. They help me to make an informed decision.. most of the time ends in a purchase, sometimes not because of the valuable information they give where maybe what I'm looking at won't suit my needs. It's this honesty that brings me back. Pricing is fair although the information they provide is worth way more than saving a few dollars. I hope your local store has the same values!

I always have really good service from the Geek Squad team. No matter how busy they are they make sure that every client is well taken care of before moving on to the next client. I recently had an issue with my cell phone and had to deal with them multiple times over the last month and they handled the situation really well! While I can appreciate self serve options, it is extremely frustrating to follow all of the instructions, be left to my own devices, removed from any assistance, only to learn that it is not something that is possible via self serve options. To add insult to injury we spent an hour waiting to be told this and ended up going to the Telus store where the agent was very helpful and we were in and out in 7 minutes! Seriously unhelpful staff at our bestbuy location. I refuse to go there without doing my research and checking out all other available options in my city before even going to the bestbuy website, only as a last resort will I go to best buy.

Sorry to say but service was horrible...im very dissapointed in their service...in timmins store...my daughter purchased a laptop and we asked to set it up for her..3 and half hr later we got the laptop...and it took them a half hr to bring it out to us...we drive home in which takes one hr...and my daughter has no plug charger for her lap top...i have to drive all the way back to timmins in the am to go pick it up...service is horrible...i wont ever shop there again...

A good assortment of the latest products from the best brands in stock. Pricing can be occasionally obscure and I recommend price matching with their website before purchasing. Well lit, accessible and located near other major shopping areas. Recommended for their cell phone kiosk and assistance with swap and setup, they have impressed me on more than one occasion.
