First time back here in over two years! Went on a Friday just after Family Allowance to ensure that there would not be a huge line up. Had to be entered into the system and answer some questions. The man behind the counter was empathetic and kind. Received a healthy amount of food. Lots of fruit, lunch meat, bread and canned goods. Thank you to the community for the donations, it really helps people in their time of need ???? ❤

I have heard of The Food Bank, but have never went there to get food, but I am thinking about going there to get food should I ever need more of it at home. I struggle with anxiety and absolutely hate crowds especially while out trying to grocery shop, how do you get food from The Food Bank, and is there a small fee or anything you need to pay?

I've gone to my share over the years. Most places don't have expired over a year. I know to some it don't matter but health wise. Be wary. With the cold. We had to stand outside with our son for only 15 mins so be prepared for a wait. They only let a few in at a time. Bring your own bags! We don't have any ATM but they only gave us one. Not really any solid complaints. Most times when we go, the biggest problems are the people that wait with us. Never the help. Please appreciate them, this is free help ???????? Stay Blessed, All.

I appreciate the food bank as I am a single mother who has troubles making ends meet alot of the time especially as I'm not working at the moment. The only complaint I have is that last year I got a Christmas hamper from them and Santa was there for the kids which was aweosme it helped us have a great Christmas. But this year they arent allowing families to get a Christmas hamper which I think is unfair. Turning away small families. I can see if you have 3 or so kids going to the salvation army but I've only got 1 and was turned away. Why they went from allowing families to not allowing them blows my mind.

I am celiacs. It is on my slip and i got processed meat & bread. So i couldn't use over half of the items. I did ask for the carrots that someone before me left, and was told no. I was given a regular hamper. I left the things i couldn't eat. Should i just change it vegetarian to make it easier for your staff?

Great place to go for those in need of a COVID vaccine with the walk in clinic to the side of the building. Or, if your unemployed and you desperately need food, the food bank is the place to go, this place will give you a good amount of food. It's a healthy environment all around so long as no sketchy person has a breakdown of any kind.

Only giving four stars because I was given 2 deli meat packages that expired June 2020 lol. They seemed to be stored as frozen as I was handling then so I will surely eat them up asap. Canadian Harvest bread expired two days ago and hot dog buns that expire within a couple days which is fine. I'm sure they're still edible. I don't have anymore complaints as I'm grateful enough to just receive anything as covid has screwed over many people financially and I cannot afford food this paycheck. So thank you food bank for your service, I'm truly grateful we have this in the city. If it's winter and you don't have a car, standing in the cold sucks and they only let a maximum of 7 people in at a time so dress warm people. Awesome service regardless.

Worked a few days as volunteer. Have to say I appreciate the customers and their patience. There can be long lines and there are times the food does run low. For the customers I assure you, everyone working inside is running full speed using all their energy. Everyone is running, rushing, and usually tired and sore by the days end, but they keep smiling and doing their best. There are many volunteers but it seems never quite enough which keeps everyone moving at 110%. I believe almost all the food is donated and any food purchased is done with donated money. We are fortunate to have so many great companies that are donating good quality products and not just damaged or unwanted stock. In the past during food drives, I would look in my cupboard for things I didn't want, however, after working and putting together hampers with 'my unwanted food' I realize that some of the best donations can come from the same items I purchase to make my own suppers. If you have nothing to donate, as myself at this time, an even better donation may be volunteering and giving your time.

I had workers willing to pick up my hamper SINCE I have a premie who came down with pneumonia and I'm not to bring him out in -30 but you guys couldnt even make an exception for them to pick up my hamper SHAME ON YOU I have to risk my baby getting sick to get food AND YES THIS WAS AN EMERGENCY AS I FLED A DOMESTIC SITUATION WAS LEFT WITH NOTHING

The Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre does such an amazing job! They work so hard to address hunger in Saskatoon. The Clothing Depot, Creating Opportunities programs, Tax Program, and Garden Patch, are great. It is also a cool place to volunteer!

Unfortunately a necessity for many, the staff is friendly and helpful. Catering to families and singles.You can visit once every two weeks and must show your health card. On the whole food quality is good.At Christmas you can pick up a generous food hamper once you have registered. Garden vegetables are plentiful in the summertime

Last 3 times we have gone half the things are so expired we had to throw out! Vegetable crackers I opened and put one in my mouth spit it out it was 3 years old! There not checking expired dates on things
