Pre approved me for a credit card, to have it declined and effect my credit score. They then had the audacity to send me a second pre approval email a month later! As others have said, doing anything is an enormous hassle. Prepare to be on the phone for hours and when I called about the previously mentioned the lady told me "that's too bad but you can go find another bank then" as I was already furious. Find a different bank

Such a horrible and worst bank of canada . I just wanted to open account in this bank because i heard that they give good interest and we don't have to pay banking fees so opened my account online . After 2 months i recevied debit card in mail that need to acitavte they asked me for proof that it's actual the same person who opened online account . First i went to canada post to give my all documents at that time they didn't said we don't accept international paasport or the driving licence they said me After I deposited my money and received my debit even they don't knw how to handle a coustmer i said I recently moved so I don't have proof of my adress with photo but i do have my bills with name on it and other banking with my adress they said no we need proof with photo . Can't they say at that time when i went to canada post for vefication or when they asked me to deposit money . They even blocked my online banking after I deposited money and even didn't activated my debit . Please stay away from such banks they are seriously fraud not even giving my money back . M gonna complain for this . U should learn how to handle coustmer n provide good service .

These guys believe in negative money!! For example, when you’re out of cash they can keep charging you! It’s in the terms and conditions. Woohooo!

A great title to pertain and have clients with am certain. It is far kind of too far from Burlington so at finish have not close a deal with their bank. Would recommend it as their system is professional and decent as other banks such as Simplii Financial (the new President's Choice). There are positives but the negatives need ironing out and fixing if really want to be with these businesses.

What a horrible bank. Have me running around the city to different ATMs just to pull not even that much money out. Doing everything they tell me to and still freezing my accounts. 6th time calling today, been trying to do this for hours. Not worth the free banking stay away

Lots of changes to online banking, now they withhold your funds extra long, so now I keep missing preauthorized bill payments as a result. But they do not provide information like "when my funds will not be on hold" ....? This is a new change, I've used this account the same way for years. Lets figure it out, people! No, I'm not dialing into your pre-recorded computer machine.

Tangerine Bank has no account fees. I find them very handy. I get my pay early and there online service is very simple to use. Great security also. I had fraudsters take money out and I was given every penny back. It took less than a week for the funds to be returned. Staff are kind and patient over the phone. There are times wait times are little longer than usual. : ) But if you call early or late you'll get through a lot quicker.

One of the worst banks. Clunkiness. Crummy interfaces. Can't control transfers. Have no clue ever what's going on. Basic things are like pulling teeth. Each phone call takes 1-3 hours on hold

Just found out about account dormant fee - how dare they!!!! "November 12, 2021 We're glad you've logged in! We want to make sure you know that several years have passed between your logins. I agree with other reviews. As soon as Tangerine gets your money. They just keep it. As there are no places you can go in person; if you collect Gov 't cheques like i do, than each and every time you get paid, they hold it for 5 buisness days and it always falls on weekend too. So you will be waiting a week after pay day before you can eat. According to Tangerine, you are not a human on weekends and the customer servive is terrible and doesnt have the authority to help you at all. Its no fee banking because Tangerine is a fancy piggy bank that you cant get your money back from.

Horrible service, always, always long waits on the phone. And now getting penalty for removing and RRSP to use towards the down payment on a house which we are allowed to get PENALTY FREE. Watch out, total, utter scammers. They get your money and good luck getting it back without a penalty and they will make you dance through a ton of hoops and you still will end up paying that penalty. Service Canada says a SIN Card IS acceptable with ALL financial institutions, yet they will not honour it and they won't issue a letter documentation because we have the card. Horrible company with Tangerine, never again.

Well, 1 star is too much for them. If you need to call them for any reason, it takes 2+ hours. Once, I had been through a tone of security questions and still kept me on hold for another 30 minutes. Then, passed me onto another person which another long waiting. Finally, someone picked up the phone and can't give me any answer. Yeah, that's all she said " I can't tell you. Someone will call you back." It was after 9:30pm at a time. I called back 2 days later during business hours, still the same thing... hours of waiting for someone to picked up the call. Once picked up the call, they asked so many security questions (which is fine if they could help). Once all security questions clear, and again, can't answer my question and passed onto someone else. By the time completed, it took 3+ hours. I complained , all she said "yes, yes"... not a word of apology or appreciate my long waiting on the phone.
