Really wish I could give 0 stars. They were supposed to deliver food to my mom and I today. I can't get out because i care for my mom 24/7. Well i waited around all day and they have not shown up. I really needed this help for my mom.

I don't go out to the bar much, maybe once in a blue moon. I decided to take my wife out for a beer since we barely get out. It was a very nice laid back lounge , we felt comfortable and the people there kept to themselves mostly. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to go dancing or really have alot of fun .. there isn't many tables in the bar so it's not really a big bar but if you're looking for a nice quiet place to just relax and have a beer whiskeys would be a nice place to go .

I love the staff here, the lines aren't too bad normally, great reception staff. They didn't make me feel bad for needing help, didn't ask any invasive questions, did the best they could to help and were super helpful.

Very slow or no responsive to respond to people in need maybe they hope they will contact the Salvation Army down the street instead and they won't have to lift a finger.I know some people who would like to give them the finger.

There were a few times I showed up later in the day and didn't receive much, but that's my own fault. Even then they gave me everything they could. The only thing I don't like is as a family of 5, we are usually given the same amount as a family of 2. I just wish that we could get a little more as we have more mouths to feed, but other than that I love the this place. The staff are so kind and helpful!

We have had awesome service with the Halifax Parker Street Furniture Bank! They have helped us two times now with picking up furniture and hopefully, a third time this week. Peter and another gentleman (sorry! I forget his name :(), have been absolutely excellent and very kind. Would highly recommend Parker Street Halfiax ANYTIME!

Great place for people in need of food and clothing. Food bank is open 3 days in a week and with strict Covid protocols lot of parking spaces available for parking. Donations in food clothing accepted.

Dropped off essentials and it was such a good community place to be. Although I think the garbage bins could be a bit more organized I doubt this has anything to do with the organization itself.

I made arrangements to have a good sofa picked up, one full week ahead. I confirmed on the day, and was told between 9 and 11 am. At 3:30 pm, having wasted my whole Friday, I realized they weren't coming. Frustrating to deal with the answering machine! And somebody would have been glad to have a clean sofa! Since this, others have told me their own negative experiences with the furniture bank, and all blame it on the loss of Mel Boutiler.

I know EVERONEis missing Mel, nothing at Parker street has been the same. Be four if you needed assistance with emergency oil you would get it with 24/48 hours at the most (if they were able to assist) now it take a week or more. So you will have to pretty much suffer till then.If your approved and they are able to assist they shouldn't have you waiting around....especially when you have small children smh Its VERYFrustrating when you're tryou keep getting is an answering machine.new management is sooooo bad

The food bank opens its doors on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8am-11am. On those days, kind staff and volunteers register your name and health card number before taking you into the back room. There you pick out the groceries that you need from boxes of vegetables, fruits, treats, and dry goods. There are also racks of bread, rolls, bagels and baked goods; plus sandwich meat, canned goods, and condiments. Then you bag your food to take home. It's a worthwhile trip for anyone in need of food.
