REVIEWS OF Lost Creek Golf Club IN Nova Scotia

Michael Vining

Course was in good shape. A little pricey comparative to other courses also late season play. Marshall was friendly but did little to keep pace of play moving. No courtesy cart rolling around with beverages or food.

Wilfred Goodwin

Lovely early winter walk.

Dark Matter Studios (Jonathan Parsons)

Good course, challenging but well maintained. Fairways are tight and hazards are plentyful however it is a fun course to play.

The man in charge of green fees' decisions, possibly an owner judging by his authoritative attitude, is extremely rude to his customers. He berated our group unnecessarily over our nicely stating a legitimate reason to receive a few dollars' savings for us. Afterwards I spoke to another golfer who said that many members have left Lost Creek because of the same sort of thing. I have played at numerous golf clubs and I have never had rage-full treatment from the person in charge like this, ever.

Nice golf course, some nice vistas, and challenging. Always busy, if I have to be critical, maybe too busy, I think they try to put too many people on the course at once. Also I think they are long overdue for a proper club house.

Jeff McMullin

Would be much higher with different management.

John Oneill

Course was challenging and in great shape

Mark Chapman

One of my favorite courses, only a 30 minute drive from Halifax.

Marcos Casimirri

Great golf course

JOEK LANDRY

Staff at the Proshop are the best, lounge is awesome and the course this year has been beyond great. I met really nice folks on the course and enjoyed every round I played..

Reasonable enough course. Nothing too crazy but it's nice.

Ryan Keddy

Nice course, haven't played a full 18 here but it's a decently challenging course.

Master B

Bad business practices here. Stay away if you want value for your dollar. Cause that's all they care about here. Many other courses around who actually take care of their player base. Instead, here they are trying to squeeze every dime they can out of who ever even dares to book a tee time. Course plays nice tho.

Steven Forest

Well manicured greens, decent fairways with some forgiveness. They have changed the layout of this course, improving on the playability but adding to the challenge. I found the course both beautiful and enjoyable to play but the clubhouse needs to be given some attention. It still looks like the temporary building it was meant to be. Still, I went for the golf and was not disappointed. WATCH OUT FOR THE TICKS and make sure you bring some good bug spray....the mosquitos were not too bad but the ticks are numerous.

Adam MacPherson

Tight course but definitely fair. Definitely recommend you check it out.

Mike Douglas

Matt Prosser

Charging more in person for cart rentals than their website says. Not giving refunds for anyone awaiting covid test results who can no longer make their times. Kicking people off the course long before sunset. Never encountered marshalls that rude before. “Meet me in the parking lot after your round if you want to argue”. Never thought I’d hear that one from a Marshall.

Mark MacDonald

Nice golf course. Family owned I believe. They have done a lot of work to this course since it opened. Improved holes. Added new holes and removed others. Some very nice unique holes but also a couple of quirky doglegs. Has power cars. Open to the general public

Adam Johnson

Rob G

This is a tough but fun course. I wouldn't say it's as hard as Brunello, but there are lots of trees and several holes with undulating fairways and steep elevation changes. The pro shop and kitchen/bar area are reasonably well stocked, though not quite as robust as some of the higher end courses around. My one complaint about Lost Creek is that, somehow, the fairways always seem mucky in places even after a day or two of no rain. I don't know what the underlying issue is (bad drainage?) but if it has rained in the last 24 hours you'll likely have a few randomly sloppy lies. Other than that, it's a very solid course in Middle Sackville / Beaverbank area and typically gets me out for a few rounds a year.

Fabulous golf course views spectacular

Kyle Woods

Don't have much special to say about the course quality or the difficulty, but I do have alot to say about the management. Disrespectful and confusing bevahiour towards us and our group, chaos as we were organizing our carts and teeing off. There are enough affordable and quality courses in the area that it's worth avoiding this club if possible.

Daniel King

Awesome course and you really do get lost at the creek

Joe Joukhadar

Stuart Grandy

Great course close to Halifax

christopher cann

Course is in great shape

Gerard Dillon

Played Sunday morning after heavy rain on Saturday, so of course fairways were wet and slow. Some very beautiful holes with great views. Greens were good but slow. Lots of hills. Overall a nice golf course, with challenging par 4's. $75 with a cart so that seems about right. I'd play again.

Chris Cobb

Bruce Colborne

Great 18 hole, scenic, well maintained, inexpensive golf course. Friendly helpful staff.

Glen Winsor

Good value, nice course.

Robert Johnston

Lost creek, more like lost ball, great course just out side of town but bring extra balls if you have a hook or slice, i lost a good 10 balls in the 18 holes

Brent VanSlyke

A really nice course to play. Friendly and has its challenges but very playable and nice walk if you don't want a cart.

Mike Mattinson

Good shape, a little pricey, the covid affect i think. Course is dry now and greens are fast!

John Corbett

Challenging course, reasonable green-fees

Morgan Brookfield

This is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Halifax !! Last year they made quite a few changes to the course and WOW ... the game will be even more exciting this year, cannot wait!

Sheri Hebert

Beautiful scenery and very challenging.

Jon Cyr

Close to home for me and a great course! Despite a pretty dry summer they have kept it in great shape! If you're in the area I would definitely give Lost Creek a shot! FORE!!!

Curtis Bruce

Love the course but they have to do something with the 18th fairway.

Terry Zehr

Matt Hyland

A lot of work has been done in the last few years to clear out trees and make it more playable. Best bang for your buck around

Rasha Al Hayaziey

Large, organized and has few very good views .. services are good so it is recommended for sure

Shirley Banfield

Shannon Gotell

Greedy owners. Making members and pass holders pay greenfees and allowing public to book early. Complete greed. In the middle of a pandemic and instead of spacing tee times they put them closer to jam more people in. Lol. Should be ashamed of yourselves. Not sure how there have not been more bad reviews. Great course but you need to take care of your bread and butter folks.

Shane

Great course for the beginner to advanced Golfer.

Timothy Fleet

Nice track. Pace of play was good. They spent some money improving the course.

Gordon Connor

Nick Gillam

Ron Jakeman

Nice course

Roman Meyer

Connor MacNamara

rude staff, price gouging, kicking people off the course long before they were told they had to be off. Pretty clearly taking advantage of people, you’d be much better off to play any of the other courses in Halifax, literally

Josh Campbell

Played the front 9 after work. Amazing course for the price, with beautiful views at every hole. Views of the creek/falls at the 2nd and 8th holes were especially impressive.

I'll give this one a 5 star for combination of quality of course and value. There maybe/are better courses in the city, but a green fee will be twice as much. Last played was in 2000 until last week. Where they had synthetic tee boxes and was a very tight course for an average golfer. Rounds were long because everyone was looking for their ball. Fast forward 18 years. Course being significantly cleaned up, wider landing areas, and countless other improvements. Lots of elevation changes and dog legs has the player using all the clubs in their bag. Large receptive greens throughout. Fun course to play and a very friendly staff. I played there three times in the last couple weeks, and it'll be a routine stop throughout the summer. I brought my 11 yr old and one evening they weren't busy. They offered him to bring a wedge and putter and let him play when we got to the green. No practice range but they have individual driving range cubicles where you hit your own balls. Well done Lost Creek, keep up the good work.

Lost Creek is a terrible organization, they are over priced and they do not even try to hide the fact that they are greedy, they over charge on the regular. I paid for a membership for the 2020 season and yet they still charged me a green fee when I played there on November 7th. They also allow hoodlums to play there who constantly cause trouble. Golf is a gentleman sport and it was a rare occasion when I felt comfortable there. It was always a negative energy. The staff are nice and friendly but the owners are greedy and unreasonable. If I could give them a 0/5 stars I would.

Devon Grant

What’s the point of buying a membership if they’re just going to book over your time with public tee times? Owners are very greedy, many more customer friendly places to golf in the HRM

Donna Stewart

Ron Briggs

Typical golf club ripping off the green fee payees.

Taylor Mac

James Thurston

Great course. Good prices. Very well taken care of

Mark Masters

Course in good condition, fairways are a bit tight

Chris Dimitropoulos

Good course but customer service is poor

Susan Hunt

Was very disappointed with Lost Creek Golf Course. We have been trying for 4 weeks to golf but because of weather had to cancel a couple of times. We went today at 3 (only time we could get) It was so cold and windy that it wasn't enjoyable. So we thought maybe we could play 9 and and book the other 9 for another time. But when we went into the pro shop, buddy was very rude and said we paid for 18 and if we didn't want to finish, it was too bad. It's bad enough they charge your credit card right away, think it is the only course that does that! Myself and my partners will never play there again. $70 for nine holes, pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Also they should have someone with a little people skills working behind the counter. Like I said, never again.

Nick Brilhante

Chris Atwater

Had the best experience of my life at this golf course, so much more nudity than expected which was to my liking ????, the drum circle on hole 9 really made me reflect on my spirituality. And finally the compulsory human pyramid really opened my mind to the architecture of the human body and soul. Over all great and awaking experience in more ways then you'd expect.

Dawn Gaudet

I really like this course. Not too long (I am not a really long hitter) but not an easy course either. Some rough terrain making for lots of uneven lies. The waterfalls is lovely. Good value for money.

Daniel McNeil

Bria Stone

Awesome greens for Nov.

Trent Shapcott

Interesting layout where accuracy is more important than distance. Overall length is short, but the course still has some bite. Greens are in good shape and roll true. Fairways also good, but dry and hard, your ball will roll. #11 is probably the signature hole and is the only one that runs along the lake. Friendly staff.

Marc MacKinnon

Graham Brown

Matthew Wainman

Beautiful course, pretty good price. They set their tee times a little close together though. I'm not an experienced golfer so maybe it's my fault, but I played with 3 other people and we were walking, so it's hard to keep up with the tee times like that. Maybe if someone doesn't rent a cart, set the tee times a bit further apart? Or require carts to be rented? Anyway, pretty good experience either way. We'll go back.

Chris Prospero

Dan Cosgrove
