Wow was I completely disappointed!! We were told to come in and grab any seat.. there was only a dirty table so we sat patiently waiting for someone to come over and acknowledge us. Nope!! I after 10 minutes go and address the staff. Well we then received menus and placed our orders.. well they couldn't get that right. Brought two Caesar salads... I ordered a Greek. They then after trying to get their attention again to let them know about thd mix up. Should have stuck with the original salad as I got food poisoning ???? from the Greek salad. Jim's chicken parm was good and I had there station burger. Would have been nice to get ketchup before my food was cold. As for the friendliest pub... I really didn't get that impression ???? ???? ???? ????

Had to wait 1hour 10 min for an order fish and chip and fish cakes and the fish was way over cooked and got about 15 fries with the order . fish cake were very dry not a good first esperance never go back not worth $39.????

As much as I would love to give 4-5 stars to a local pub... especially since it's walking distance from our house, I can't. A friend of mine was treated horribly by the staff here and I cannot condone this. It simply leaves a bad taste in my mouth... I'd rather pay the cab fare and go somewhere else.

Since we have moved from the UK 10 months ago we have been looking for a place that can give the same atmosphere as a British pub; warm, friendly and good homesome food. Finally we have found it in Beaver Bank Station. Can't wait to go back and the regular visits afterwards including the live music nights. Tip top.

We visited the patio for an evening out, had a few delicious drinks from the house specialties, and enjoyed a burger, wings, and fries, both potato and sweet potato. Everything was delicious, the wings were on the small side but meatier than expected. Live music from Geoff K was really great and fit the mood of the night well!

I have never heard of this place until my son invited us to go. Upon arrival, my wife and i were both skeptical as it wasnt esthetically pleasing to the eye upon entering the door. Once inside though, we we surprised. Place was nice, friendly staff and of course i had to order the station burger. I am fussy over my burgers but was very satisfied with this one. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely return. Thanks for the great food

Food is good and the waiters/waitresses are very nice, but service is slow. Drinks take a very long time for whatever reason. On one occasion, the drinks took longer to arrive than the meals. As well, certain tables at the station have wobbly chairs and feel almost unsafe to sit on. Finally, the parking lot is small and it is usually difficult to find a space at dinner hours. If you're a patient fellow, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised. If not, you likely won't be impressed with this restaurant.

Had been here twice previously and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time, however, nothing seemed to be right. We ordered two drinks, one was incorrect and both were filled to the point of spilling. When we received our mains, both were incorrect. One of the meals, a burger, we did send back. It had mayo on it when it was ordered without. When we got it back, it was missing lettuce... The other was a peanut butter burger, but it was missing peanut butter. The waitress brought it out on the side afterwards, along with the missing lettuce. The waitress seemed genuinely apologetic about the mishaps, however I was definitely disappointed with the service. When we arrived, there was only one other table seated, so unfortunately, I cannot even say it was due to them being busy.

Tried it several times and just can't recommend it. The staff always seem like they're new and just getting trained in. There's always some issue with the service. The dishes feel like they're right off the Sysco playlist. Beer selection is lacking. Never a positive / memorable experience.

Have been here 3 or 4 times. Each visit has been wonderful. What stands out is the personal service the servers and owners give to customers. Its as if you have known them forever. Between all of us over 3 visits we have had chowder, mussels, peanut butter burger, veggie burger, fish n chips, spinach dip, panfried haddock. Fries are AMAZING! Panfried haddick excellent..as was fish n chips. No complaints at all. Love the washroom symbols which include all.

I frequent this place at least once a week and I have yet to be let down. everything from the food, which is to die for, and the amazing service, the Beaver Bank Station is truly a hidden gem. Got a chance to sit with the owner lastnight and he made my experience there even better. Beaver Bank Station is an outstanding establishment and if you havent had a chance to eat there yet, I would highly recommend that you make the time!!

First time there, so maybe an off night, but food was not great and service was friendly, as advertised, but hard to get. We both had the fish and chips. The fries were really good, but the fish was.. cod, maybe? Whatever it was, it didn't have a lot of taste, so you ended up getting rich flakey fish, with no flavour. Even the vinegar didn't help as it seemed watered down? People working they were very nice, but seemed overwhelmed although it was a Friday night. Maybe they were short staffed or something. I might give it another go if I'm in the area, but I def won't be getting the fish.

Awesome food and excellent service. The owners are the friendliest people and are usually there serving and talking to their customers. The Station sauce is perfect on burgers and wings. We get the spinach dip for an appetizer. My wife usually gets the pan fried haddock and I switch it up between fish and chips, one of their Thai dishes and the station burger with the Station sauce. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good pub food and a fun atmosphere.

When we first moved here from Ontario, our three week kitchen renovation turned into an eight week nightmare (true story). We were so thankful to have such an awesome place nearby that was always more than happy to feed us! We have eaten through their menu (yes, nearly every item) and every single thing has been delicious. Our personal favourites include black and tan onion rings (where have these been all my life?!), the chicken curry, and the carbonara. The frequent line up of cars on the side of the road isn't a concidence. You should go!

First time ordering from here. We got dinner for 5 of us and brought it home. While the food was delicious there were a few misses. 3 of us ordered the Station Burger. One was burned and tough. One had a burned bun. None of them had the “signature station sauce” on them. The biggest complaint is regarding the onion rings. We got 2 orders and each one had 7 onion rings. 7!!! For $11 per order. Thats $1.57 PER onion ring!! Meals were reasonably priced but if the onion rings are any indication then the appetizers are way overpriced.

The Beaver Bank Station has a wide variety of upscale dishes. The batter-free pan fried haddock includes a lemon bouillon sauce which makes a healthy choice and is very tasty. I recommend it. The Heritage building feels homey and cozy if not a little crowded. I look forward to a visit in the Summer when we can enjoy their deck that includes night lights and heaters. I think if I lived closer, this would be a regular hang out.

If you want to eat on the this is not the palace to go. We ordered at 6:20 they told us at 6:50 they didn't have one of the things we ordered and then it still took an hour for medicor food to arrive and arrive at all different times. When we complained about it taking so long they told us we were wrong. The entire experience took over two hours. I do not recommend beaver bank station, in fact you'd have to pay me to go back there.

This was our first visit to this local establishment and we had heard great things about the atmosphere , food and service. I have to say, the "rumours" are true!!!! The food was tasty, homemade and served hot; the atmosphere was nice, warm, inviting etc; the service was amazing; overall our experience was Great and we will go back again. Everyone always wants to know "how expensive is it" ? Well, I would say this is mid range. But you have to remember you are getting "real" food for the price not processed junk. You are looking at approximately $15 for mains. My only "con" was that the music was a little loud, especially as the room became full, however, I'm sure if I had asked that they would have turned it down. I didn't bother to ask as we were almost finished our meal, so I simply put my earplugs in and finished the last few bites.

Only reason for a 1 star rating is that it was closed. Online said it was supposed to be open. Tried calling and no answer. Would gave been nice for updated voice-mail stating they where closed. This is some seriously good food. They have your typical pub food including great chicken wings, the best fish and chips, and pretty good putine. But, they also have specials some nights that can rock your world. My husband and I had cornish hen with roasted potatoes, green beans, and carrots that was well beyond what you would expect to find in a pub. Delicious and healthy, great combo! Looking forward to catching their prime rib night one of these days.

Haven't been much further west but I'd imagine they are no competition to this golden brown little sticks of amazingness!). Reviews only tell a small bit of the story. Try this place out if you haven't. And if you have, you better be planning a trip there soon!

We ordered fish and spinach dip Friday night, besides having the dip be a small serving for two it was so good we ordered it again tonight and the fish that was forgotten in our order was delivered to our home and my husband ate that one fish all to himself and hours later is puking.. If your looking for a nice place to grab a bite then this pub is a good choice. Over all its enjoyable with friendly staff and quality food. This is my second time here and both experiences were good. I will say though, if your looking for a meal with friends or family and want to chat, Friday night isnt the most ideal. Like many pubs the entertainment is present Friday. Wr could barely hear to talk as the guy belted out one tune after another. We did discover however before we left that on the second floor there was more tables in a room. Next time we will try there so we can hear the music but still hear the person sitting at the table. Service was good but the return to check on drink refills and how the food was slow at first. But did get a little better before we left. Over all I would recommend this to people looking for hot favorable food that is reasonably priced.

Eggs Benny very good. We made reservation that they didn't have on the books... Drinks weren't offered or delivered for roughly 20 mins. Requested pancakes w choc chips for daughter, pancakes came without but we were charged. NS beer on menu for $8, charged me $9.25. Typically I'd be upset but the food was good, staff seem relatively inexperienced. Seems like they just need better management, website menu needs updating (pricing is off by several dollars per item).

Always enjoy our time at the station. It's a go to place for our family stuff, whether birthdays, anniversaries or just regular stuff. The food is always good, and pricing is fair also. I haven't noticed them jack the prices up the way everything else has gone up which is appreciated. We also order from their website/app for takeout, and it's always been a smooth process. We appreciate the live music (although a bit biased with some family playing on most nights we've gone for the music). Chris and staff have always been accommodating to any of our needs, and are always patient with us (which is a full time job when you mix my side of the family with my husband's and it's one loud, rambunctious fantastic time).

Went on a friends recommendation on a Friday night. Took a bit to get menus and drinks and later found out they were short staffed. The mains were very good, hot and fresh with local beef used in the 2 burgers ordered with the Philly cheese steak and fish and chips getting rave reviews. Ordered desert to go and was very disappointed. The bread pudding looked like one Ice Cream scoop of dough with little spice , no raisins or topping of any kind. All the pedestal tables in our section had some form of wobble which had diners cautiously eating the entire meal. The waiting Staff on duty were new and did as good a job as they could considering the circumstances and are commended for their efforts. If not for the tables and dessert this place would be a 4-5 star meal.

A very quaint and lovely restaurant. Absolutely amazing fries and quality, staff is friendly and welcoming. They've definitely set up am enjoyable environment and in such a novel location too. A definite recommendation, just keep in mind it's a bit pricier than you may think. Every once in a while to stop in for a beer and a bite, it's a nice spot.

Visited for first time. Entrance procedure is confusing and turned out to be for Covid tracking without informing us. We were seated in a very tight space with hanging dividers but still well within 6 feet of other guests across the walkway. To start we had the Irish nachos which were really good. The calamari was more batter than squid. For the mains we had two burgers, fish and chips and pasta. The first burger, a peanut butter burger was good but the first bite was a mouthful of regular peanut butter so hard to swallow. The other burger was a bit burned. As for the pasta it was good but the fish was just okay and we left a lot of batter behind. The drinks come probably from a fountain as especially the 7-up tasted weird and a bit carton board like. The service was not great with servers forgetting things a couple of time, not listening to our orders and taking long to come around. Parking lot was small and cramped. Bit hard to back out of with a truck. Ended up having to park at the nearby church. All in all an okay visit but probably not an option for a return visit.

Great place to eat! Tons of seating and has a nice rustic look (it's an old train station so that's to be expected) food has always been great! Only 1 downfall to this place and it's the limited parking. Especially if you have a truck. Parking lot only holds about 15-20 vehicles and not much side of the road parking there.

Unique and amazing food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and the washrooms are so clean they sparkle! The dining room by the washrooms is a little too cold during winter. Upon arrival, I wasn't sure where the entrance was because it isn't very clearly marked off of the parking lot. All together, this place most definately worth a special trip from the city. Their Hollandaise Poutine is delicious and is a must have staple if your planning on having brunch. I can't wait to go back to experience something else on their menu again soon!

Been here a 3 times wanting desperately to like this restaurant but I really just don't. Steak has been overcooked, I found paper leftovers from opening cans in my seafood chowder and the spaghetti had the consistency of being microwaved. Staff has always been apologetic but I just havn't had any good experiences with the food whenever I've tried.

EDIT: Originally our email was unseen. When it was noticed we were contacted quickly and the situation has been more than apologized for and set right. Kudos to Chris and the team for caring about their customers experience! Normally I enjoy the station. The last time we interacted with them was June 30th. We used their own website to order delivery as we have done in the past. Shortly after placing the order we got a call stating they "forgot" to turn off the delivery option and we'd have to go get it. Fine, mistakes are made sometimes. A second call came shortly after that saying they couldn't cancel the order in the system and we'd have to pay for it again(we had asked if the delivery fee and something called the default fee could simply be refunded). So, we’re 90+ dollars in for a burger and a club sandwich and fries. They said the first charge would take 5 to 7 to show up in our accounts. After arriving at the time the order said it would be ready I still sat for 15 more minutes waiting only to have their wireless debit machine time out 4 times while trying to pay again. We understand that restaurants were only recently allowed to open for dine in so hiccups are expected. There was no real apology(except, sorry for the confusion) either from staff that night and no response to an email we sent management. Sadly our last trip there it would seem.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed and underwhelmed, it's very overpriced for the quality, it was bland and you could tell things weren't fresh. I've always thought about trying Beaver bank station as I grew up in Beaver Bank and thought it was pretty cool they have my grandmother's old phone number at a place she used to tell us the history of. It's sad this place didn't live up to the expectation. Maybe at some point I'll give it a second chance and try something different.
