Island Savings at Woodgrove branch is used my favorite bank. Not any more. They are making mistake all the time. Transfer funds by mistake. Do not set up the right GIC rates as we agree, and much more. Every time I have to find out the mistake and tell them. They just say sorry and fix it. i accepted for the first, second and third time. But this is the 4th time. I'm really frustrated because I need to find out the mistake and drive down to the branch. They don't have a sincere attitude to solve the customer's frustration. Even though I complaint to the branch manager, he told me human mistake is normal. I didn't raise up my tone of voice. He said I'm yelling at him. He said there's nothing he can do, he needs to hang up. I have never experienced a bank service like that, so irresponsible and so much mistake. I should check my statement more often from now.

Been with them for 15+ years, primarily only because the staff is so great. Aside from that, has the worst hours, & changes them without notice, closed all weekend now. We needed access to our own money, and even a phone call to increase debit limit didn't work, because they were closed too.

Giving 1 star is more then I wish to give. I've been an Island Savings member for over 10 years. Move to Nanaimo, and I cannot believe how slow this bank is!! Spending my entire lunch breaks waiting for service is not acceptable. Will be looking at other banking institutions .

Had an appointment to open a personal and business account and credit card after I was referred to Island Savings however when I arrived at my appointment the lady just tried to convince me not to open an account there I felt she was snotty and lazy and just did not wish to do any paperwork at the moment so I will take my business elsewhere.

Location hours are always changing, app has been less than ideal over the past several years, compared to the other bank and broker I spoke with they don't seem very knowledgeable about helping a client get a mortgage. If you want an account with out services or fees use simplii
