The Peter McKee Food Bank is a very good place to get food if you are on low income. You also are qualified to use the food bank if you are working and don't have enough for groceries. I wish they could serve the homeless with food as well, but this is not possible. The homeless have the soup kitchens ect. But if you are having problems in making your rent, pay bills etc you can get help and food at the food banks. What they give is good quality food.

I have a problem it seeems everytime I go i get less and less food and tge service from the volenteers can be extremely painful and they can be very rude. I go cause I need good for me and my daughter and they seem to look at most people like we dont need it and thats hurtful. A family of 2 is just as important as a family of 3 or 4 and it seems that me and my daughter are not allowed to have meaty products cause a family of 4 nedds it more. understandable maby if we werent humans who eat meat too. But we are. They will give others school stuff snacks for a family 3 or 4 but not 2. They can be really kind people and most there tgat hand out the food are very kind and caring its the workers doing the paper work and sitting at the front desk that make you wanna turn around ans walk out with out the help. They just turned me away from getting food again 2nd time now cause I dont have an ID. I have other ID thou goverment will take my other IDs but this place wont give us food we are intitled too. Until I do this review they have been trying to do for over 6 months. I cannot get food here until I jump tgrou hoops for them. Very sad

I don't go to the food bank often but it certainly helps once in awhile when funds are low and bills need paid. I know the pandemic has been rough on everyone and a lot of changes have had to be made nationwide that make certain things harder to do but I am impressed with the food bank and the way they have been handling it. I mean it's all volunteers running and serving people and to be quite honest I figured it would end up closing the door to public access. Wow great people who help Christmas box and everything support of great importance..they also have a cheap store u could shop at after the fact or even before. Thank you for your attention. You can check it out Mask are a requirement for the store and the other thing is not a lot of space in building do to have large numbers of people

This place is so ridiculous and needs to be investigated. They refuse walk-in people and demand you call them and leave your info so they can call you back. Friend of mine has been waiting almost a week now. FOOD SHOULD NOT BE A CHALLANGE TO ACQUIRE. just shameful.
