If I could give this institution a -5 I would, this is the most USER UN-FRIENDLY institution that I've ever had the misfortune of having to come across, I took my PAYCHECK (monies that I've already earned) from my employer (a 20+ yrs establishment), along with drivers licence, care card, birth certificate to name 3, and was told that because I don't have an account with them, they can't cash it (oh my employers cheque is no good, wait till they hear that!!! Can you say cancellation of service from a millionaire business) further to that they tell me that if I get a $5 account there they will let me have $250 now and hold the rest for 6 days...ARE YOU KIDDING???!!! My Pay, Monies I've Already Worked For, oh and if you want you can take it to your financial institution which I've closed because I was going to move and at times were working out of town. And when I phoned to enquire further the condescending female asserted that she was sure other banks do the same to which I told her that the Royal Bank had no trouble cashing a pay cheque from another employer...I will spread this news as far and wide and continually as I possibly can on every social network (FB, Linked-In etc...) that I am connected to and can think of...this is an utter disgrace, and I've heard this, and other trouble, from others in the community be it business or personal...

Automated teller is convenient. Good place for banking. Not recommended for mortgages.

I deal with the Hudson's Hope branch and Shelley is excellent. I have recently opened a business account and have been dealing with Arvind and so far he has been excellent as well. They only reason they lose a star is because of the years of messing around with everything. Apparently it is getting better so I am cautiously optimistic that they have learned their lesson to stop treating people like cattle. Here's looking to the future.

I had to go in to the branch to deposit a rent cheque as a favour. Never will I step foot in that credit union again. I had the account holders name and account number and the cheque was a business cheque that has been deposited into that account for some time. I had to provide my driver's licence, gender, phone number and profession as well as answer whether myself or any member of my family had political exposure (WTF) . I wasn't trying to withdraw..I was depositing the full amount into the account. Apparently now I have a Credit Union profile now and will never have to answer those questions again. You're right I won't because I won't be back and if I ever receive a phone call of any type I will not be happy. I questioned my own bank (TD) of their procedures on the same type of transaction and as long as the account number I provided matched the profile of the name on the cheque no questions would have been asked. It gets a 1 star because zeroes and negatives are not an option.

Terrible place to bank. The manager Bonnie is one of the most rude awful human beings I have ever spoke to. He pulled fraud on my account. Stole $3050 from me and closed my account without any warning. Blamed me & treated me like a criminal. Ever time I tried to go above him in the corporate later to get answers, he'd interject & threatened calling the cops on me. Need help on how to report this ridiculous situation. Any recommendations ??

Fees are outrageously high, no one answers the phone for client enquiries and frankly rather cold uncaring towards seniors and those on income assistance.

It the only bank I use!

Wanted to apply to be put on my husbands credit card, advertises they will get back to you within the next couple days... took them two weeks. I hate that their credit cards are not with their own establishment makes it a little hard to pay it when you are going back and forth..

By all means….. save yourself the pain and anguish and go somewhere else to do your banking. This is by far the worst banking institution and you will regret the day you even signed up. Bad experience each and every time I stepped foot in NPSCU. A complete embarrassment of what they call a Credit Union. Great relief closing my account and walking out the door, even though they nickeled and dimed me right to the bitter end with any fee they could think of to even get out of this so called bank. They must be used to this as they didn’t even try and ask if they could do anything to keep my business. I’m sure all the rest of the people closing their accounts gave them an earful and they are just getting tired of the relentless complaints and so justified.

ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE worse institutions we have EVER dealt with. Worse than a bank. Fees are high AND always issues with their outside ATM's. Closing our account! Too frustrating to deal with their staff too.

Action BC

Best place I have ever banked. Tellers are friendly and go above and beyond to make sure all your questions are answered. Even called when there was inconsistent spending on my account to make sure I hadn't lost my card. LOVED IT. They really care

I wouldn't wish this bank on my worst enemy stay away! go to a professional bank instead

What a joke of a bank, will not certify a cheque of one of their own customers. Capital hick bank, might be a better name!

Jaspreet Singh

Madi Music Music

Always treaded me great.

Jake Koshman

I'd like to be able to access my funds when I want to? Undecided about how I feel about the bank. No complaints about the service, the ladies at the bank are great - cheery and helpful but when I go to grab groceries and have my card come up declined when I know there is money there, that's a problem

Crystal Hopkins

Worst bank ever

I will never set foot in here again. Had personal and business accounts here until they decided to add charges to my account (without prior notice), changed account accesses and generally screwed me over. Worst place to have any kind of financial dealings!!

Colton C

Don't open your account here. No one should have to feel this way. Staffs are inconsistent, demanding and driving you nuts.

They charge fees on any withdraws over $5g! You have to pay to get your own money!

Benjie Myers

Stay far away from this place!
