Prices are so high and when I went here because I needed some fluten free food, I left with nothing. Im a busy mother and I went here late one night and fot a cart full of food for my families lunches for the week. I went to check out and they wouldnt let me use my husbands debit card. I showed them my ID stating its the same address and last name but nope, store policies. They proceeded to take all of my itema out of the bags before they gave me a full refund. Uhm, never ever going back here. Really not worth the unhelpful service and prices. Walmart all the way!!! Such a shame because I do like their pastries. But I choose not too.

Went in to get an Artisan sandwich at 12:30pm on a weekday. There were no sandwiches of any kind. When I asked when there would be sandwiches available, I was told that no one was available because they were all busy doing other tasks. Not good when people are coming in on their lunch break

On Sunday, October 12, my daughter and I shopped at Sobeys Fort Erie. I was talking to a friend in the parking lot while I put my groceries in the trunk of my car. Before it was too late, I shut the trunk with my keys locked inside. My daughter is an adult child with Down Syndrome and was quite concerned about what we were going to do and started walking back to the store to ask her friends, the cashiers, for advice. We have shopped at Sobeys for years and years and the cashiers have always been so loving toward my daughter on each and every visit, especially Emma, Siobhan and Tammy. They are amazing!! Siobhan was the first person we saw when we entered the store, we told her what had happened and without missing a beat, she went upstairs to the office. The next thing I knew, the store's owner, Mel, who I had never met before, came downstairs and offered to drive us home to get my spare set of keys. I was shocked and so grateful. Mel drove us home, sat in the car with my daughter chatting while I ran into to my keys, then drove us back to the store. What a nice man, not only did he do us this favour when he has a store to run, but he is a genuinely nice person. I will never forget his and the cashiers' kindness. It was something extra to be thankful for on Thanksgiving weekend.

Enjoy looking thru the Flower shop to see what's new, Staff and management are very Friendly. Seafood and meat counter staff are helpful and friendly I dont hesitate to ask for a request. There are a few cashiers that are unpleasant but most of them are very friendly Once a few yrs ago I brought something back the next day without a receipt and not in a Sobeys bag . The cashier questioned me and gave me the 3rd degree, reminded me that I didn't have the store bag . Made me feel that I wasn't telling the truth. I was so upset I told her then just keep it and walked out. Like most of the grocery stores the produce not always fresh. No complaints on cleanliness always kept clean.

This Sobeys is a perfect example of poor management morale and attitude. There is no reason to be belligerent towards customers that haven't been to the store and don't know your specific procedures. Conveniently enough the one with the worst attitude in the store had no name tag. If your not capable of treating others with respect, find another job.

Selection is good for smalltown store but you will pay for it. Like any Sobeys anywhere. I had some bad experiences at the deli department here. Poor attitude and quite rude. Lesson learned. Don't shop here much since then.

Fresh produce is always great, although not everything is always available . However the meat is questionable at more times then others. I will purchase and bring home and my chicken smells weird , ground turkey smells weird, chicken thighs smell weird. Well before due date. This has happened several times . For the price we pay it should be better quality meat in my opinion . You should get what you pay for. Iam opening a pack of chicke thighs right now I purchased Sunday and it is Tuesday, they smell awful so could be another garbage dispossessed waste of money from sobeys, disappointment, I do love the store but having too many of these encounters with the meat the past year or two

Definitely not the cheapest place around, but probably your best bet in the area if you are looking for something really specific. When I was walking to Sobeys on morning and I looked at the sign it suddenly struck me that the S is actually a noodle! Like ohmigosh! I felt like I was having an epiphany. That is why I always want to buy pasta when I go here. Those aren't Sssses that are noodles! Wow. Mind blown. I tried to look up exactly what noodle that is but closest I found was Cavatappi noodles. We had a small family lunch planned for 12 noon.Due to work restraints the timing of our deli pick up was critical. We went to the store the day before to place our order. The following day at 10 a.m. Sobeys called us to verify the order for pick up at 11:45. We arrived at Sobeys at 11:40 a.m. to ensure enough time to check out and still meet our 12 noon lunch meeting. On arrival we were told our order would be 5 more minutes. Due to some technical problem that 5 minutes turned into 30 minutes at which time we left in frustration. We were forced to go to KFC which took only 5 minutes to salvage our plans.

Describing some of the staff there in any way other than abrasive or rude would probably be sparing feelings. Multiple, numerous, and a frequent amount of times I gone in and suddenly been met with hostility for no reason. And I don't know if they are just having a bad day, but its happened so many times. I will briefly describe the most reason example, as this is what inspired me to write this. I go to check out, not really understanding their confusingly roped checkouts. Do I just walk up? Or do I wait until they call me over the PA like they have done in the past? I am yelled at to go to a certain checkout if I have alcohol, which I do. When I get there the cashier looks at me confused and then begins to scream 4 to 6 registers down at the other cashier as to why she sent me there, and is yelling at her to walk down and check me out at her register. When the other cashier arrives, the yelling cashier says to me "Why would you come to this register if I can't checkout alcohol", and I replied "I didn't know that, I was told to come here", to which she continued with pointless interjections and further comments. I swear you not, the entire time I was being checked out, she was standing behind the other cashier rolling her eyes at me and looking at me with the biggest annoyance as if I just killed her cat or something. I swear to you, the only people there that have been actually nice to me, have been people in their 20s. Every other staff is nothing but perpetually annoyed at me, and rude to me.

Open late in Fort Erie -11pm 7 days a week. Store is clean and well lit. Only one cashier on duty so you shouldn't expect to grab milk and a few items and get out quick.

I always liked going to this store. Friendly people who I realize are under more pressure than ever with covid. But today was unfortunate. I only had one item (flowers), so I bypassed the long line next to florist, but went into the wrong line at the other end. I didn't know it was wrong because no one was telling customers in the long line to come to the empty line. I guess I should've known, but I just saw the light on.The cashier really embarrassed me, making me look like some impetuous kid without any manners. She even walked me to the next line and pointed at the social distancing feet on the floor as if I didn't know better.

Went later in the day when it was very quiet. Was told that I have to pack my own purchases. 3 cashier's stood at the next lane talking including the one who cashed me out. You handle the products to scan them but you can not pack them due to the risk of Covid. Really. BTW I wear both a mask and gloves. I also only go every few weeks so my cart is quite full.
