First time visit to Old Bank Bistro in Fort Erie to have lunch with my wife and son. My first awareness of this bistro was based on 10 min of a Cogeco cable show investigating a ghost (Richard Baxter) alleged to be there from a number of years ago. It was raining heavily. As we entered the bar portion was dark but we were drawn to a closed patio between the 2 buildings owned by this business. The patio had wonderful lighting due to skylights in roof, fresh temperate air circulated through the patio and preservation of brick and stone in walls and floor lent character to the experience. The food was excellent - adequate portions with pleasing presentation - great quality. Prices were very reasonable and represented good value. We loved the whole experience and even more so with the sharing of the history of the place by the owner as we exited. We will be going back many times! It was a treat!

Worst place ever. We were seated, and then waited 20 mins without drinks or even a hello from the waiter. When I said excuse me 3 times, he turned and said he'd be right with us. We were there for 30 mins and never even got a water while we watched all other tables be waited on from start to finish. I would recommend not wasting your time. We walked out hangry and will never return.

This was mine and my boyfriends first time trying this restaurant and honestly I was blown away by how good the food was. We did the date night dinner wine special for take out. Fresh salad and 2 pasta dishes of our choice which they have something for everybody. I got the Tuscan Chicken with Gluten free pasta and the texture and sauce was so delicious!! My bf tried the Shrimp Diavolo he said next time he’d take out the banana peppers because that’s what took over most of the flavour but all in all we were happy 10/10

Figured we would try something different. My wife, very pregnant at the time, and I went for lunch. We stood at the "please wait to be seated" podium for 20 minutes while a waitress walked by and saw us on 3 occasions. And ignored us. We left. I sent an email to the owner to inform them after we left and never received a response. That says a lot of their customer service. Will never go back here and will make sure to tell everyone my experience.

My Girlfriend really loves this place. We go there every-time we're in Fort Erie. The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and the our meals are always Delicious. I like it there because its a Romantic setting for us, the food is fresh and you don't have to wait forever for your meal. There menu has a lot of different things to choose from Seafood to Meats. A very nice experience, unique atmosphere and good service with fair prices. Lots of parking in the area and easy access and well maintained washrooms. The French onion soup was done very nicely and the vegetarian pizza was wonderful. My only thing that I recommend is a few more vegetarian and some sort of vegan options on the menu.

Great atmosphere especially if sitting in the "Courtyard", it gives the feel of sitting in a laneway outside similar to several restaurants in Perth, AUS and is just so relaxing. My wife and I came here for dinner and it was spectacular! My wife ordered a buffalo chicken soup and that was delicious. I ordered the bistro burger with fries and chicken wings as an appetizer. The atmosphere is very nice and quaint. I definitely recommend. The service was very good as well. We will definitely go back again.

We visited The OBB last Friday for their Lake Erie Perch dinner. It was nothing short of excellent. The way they prepare the perch is far superior than any restaurant in the Niagara Region. Our server Katarina was also very polite, friendly & looked after our every need. If you like perch you got to try it here.

This has been our go-to restaurant for about 2 years and we've always enjoyed it, despite the slower service. My husband and I used to go twice a week when our now almost 2 year old was a newborn. Tonight, I had an awful experience. My son and I walked in, waited to be seated for about 20 minutes - making eye contact with every employee and the man at the desk. We were blatantly ignored. In fact, an older couple walked in behind us, and right away, they were offered to be seated. The man had to walk AROUND me to ask them to follow him. I spoke up and was told he "didn't realize we were there." HE HAD TO WALK AROUND ME TO SEAT THE OTHER GUESTS. It was unusual and kind of hurtful to be blatantly ignored, especially as regular customers who go here often and tip well. Even after being seated, we were never asked about the quality of our food/offered refills or anything. We won't go again and won't be referring people to go as we have in the past.

First timers and our curiousity paid dividends while venturing down the Niagara Parkway and stopped in our new favourite eatery! The food was amazing, the prices were very affordable, service was very friendly and our server helped us through their vast menu. We'll be back and so glad we stopped in for a look. We tried the Buffalo Chicken Pasta which was incredible and the grilled Salmon dish was moist and cooked to perfection. The wine list was a bit small but a few nice local wines were quite good. We met the owner Peter, he was very friendly and helpful as to where to find other neat stops in town and actually encouraged us to tickle the baby grand piano in the lounge on the way out and we have found a couple of new friends as well. Win Win!

The food here is delicious. Everything that came to our table was fantastic. The only suggestion would be more wait staff. There was only one older gentleman waiting all the tables by himself for the entire restaurant. This made service slow, however, he was very sweet. It took a few attempts to get some water because the poor gentleman was running around all over the place. We would indeed recommend this place, and venture out to Fort Erie once again for this place. The food is really, really good. You’d enjoy it.
