New Dollarama to Hope BC July 2020. Plenty of good quality products for reasonable prices, especially for garden items, workout gear (yoga mats, resistant bands), bicycle gear and pet items. They also carry all the usual house-wares, camp gear, cleaning products, etc. To avoid congestion, aisles are clearly marked one-way, and there is a limit to number of people in the store at a given time. Some staff were masked up, others were not. Generally I'm not keen on the usual dollar store 'junky' offerings, but was impressed with many of their good quality items, like these solid ceramic plant pots and 'bobble' mushroom decorations.

Dollarama in Port Hawkesbury does carry some great things customers need but, the staff never seems to smile and the manager Veronica is not the friendliest,either.Less than five years ago,I walked into this store and asked Veronica where the tarps were? I asked her nicely and she was so rude and nasty and actually raised her voice to me! I should have reported her to the corporate main office for verbal harassment.THAT'S A GOOD WAY TO LOSE A CUSTOMER. I think her personality is not manager like and i think they need a better manager.Maybe,then the employees will be happier and smile. They need to widen the aisles more and have more cash registers,too.

This location is a joke. Can't say I've been once where boxes of stock haven't been in every isle blocking it from traffic. Selection is poor compared to other locations in the Niagara Region. And the worst part is the one young cashier that works there. Usually with purple hair. Not sure what her issue is but she's nasty. Never smiles. Rude, unfriendly. Just not a pleasure to deal with ever.

For all the ppl saying the staff are rude they are not rude at all. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Also the boxes never block the aisles completely they are occasionally boxes when they are restocking but these are easy to walk past and dont cause an obstruction. Alot of these bad reviews arent warranted as I go there all the time. And they do have good choc bars if you look in the main candy aisle.

Why does Dollarama insist on filling their aisles with boxes of merchandise preventing customers from getting down the aisle and/or getting product off the shelf. Either take 1 or 2 boxes at a time or stock at night the way it used to be done. Very frustrated shopper today.

Is better than no dollarama. Hope does not have many amenities. It has really grown in population. We need salons, shoe stores, furniture store, deli, good meat market would be nice, store for equipment household things, organic foods, canada tire and walmart, would be very helpful. When winter rolls in it can get very cold quickly and jumping in the car to go to chilliwack is no so convenient. If the population is here why not get the stores hear too instead of making everyone go to Chilliwack? The tourist are great except they clean out the stores in winter and prices of everything goes up. If you. Could use a few more good mechanics and trades people. Yes paying taxes with little amenities. Just basic if it doesn't run out , no longer feasible.
