I came here for an auto loan. The rate was slightly better than the dealership and about 4x better than the TD. Not only that but there was no penalty for early payments against the principal. After 20+ years of misery at the TD I figured I might as well move my checking accounts here. The service is much, much better. Do yourself a favour and invest in the big banks - just don't bank at them.

I have banked with coast capital since its inception and have always been a big proponent of them and their services. A recent experience has left me thinking of closing my accounts and moving my funds elsewhere. Recently my accounts have been saying insufficient funds whenever I try to do anything despite showing that there are more than sufficient funds in the accounts. There was no notice or message and I have tried to contact them multiple times. They have effectively frozen my money, which is beyond frustrating. Definitely going to rethink this credit union.
