My wife and I had recently been through a stretch of very difficult years. Our restaurant business had failed in 2014 forcing us into personal bankruptcy and we had moved and switched jobs several times before landing in Windsor. Both of us worked hard and saved as much as we could, but it seemed like it was never going to be enough and that the dream of owning our own home was always going to be out of reach. No matter how much money we had in savings, our credit history was poor after the bankruptcy and the big banks dismissed us outright. That all changed when I contacted Family Lending and was put in touch with Dave Myers. Dave was very understanding, completely non-judgemental, thoroughly knowledge and always available. It is truly a rare thing these days to find someone who understands that “no matter what business you think you are in, you are in the customer service business.” Dave answers his emails promptly at what seems like any time of the day or night. On several occasions I wrote to Dave late in the evening or on a Sunday morning not expecting a reply until the next business day and was genuinely surprised to receive an answer within the hour! The loan that we were looking for was very small in comparison to what most people might spend on a house, but that didn't make any impact on how we were treated. Dave put in the work, found the right lender for us and through his knowledge and connections we were not only approved for our first mortgage but we had the papers signed and a deal on our first home closed within a few short weeks. To anyone reading this and considering retaining Mr. Myers' services I can say without hesitation that you will not be disappointed. To Dave personally, my wife and I need to say a genuine and heartfelt thank you. On December 1st we will move into our new home and it will be the end of a long and difficult chapter in our lives. It will be a dream come true that we had all but given up on just a couple of years ago. The fulfillment of that dream is in no small part due to your expert help, excellent advice and genuine understanding of your business and our situation. Gosh. Out of all mortgage agents out there, some are so so and some are extremely helpful and I must say on my first telephone call with Family Lending was incredibly offensive and horrible. I do not recommend this mortgage!!!!! They immediately won't help me and says alot of things that are different than what other agencies have said to me. It is very clear that family lending only are not all knowledgeable nor helpful. I'll stick to my agent from RBC who have been incredibly helpful. Now I know that she is good agent since I've encountered terrible and horrible service at FamilyLending.
