Is it so hard to hire more tellers? Everytime I go here there is a huge lineup. Also most of the time there are a bunch of ladies that just talk behind the counter not helping customers at all. The most I've waited in line was about half an hour! It's like they don't appreciate their customer's time whatsoever.

The tellers work extremely slowly and they never have enough staff on at lunch. Last week I was there and stood in line for about 25 minutes along with 15 or so other people. There were 2 tellers. Their service bites the big one.

Pathetic experience. Booked an appointment through their website to open a business account. However, not only did the person not call at the appointed time, but when I called in about 15 minutes later and reminded them; and the guy on the line assured me that he is going to remind the respective sales person to call me - that fellow never bothered to call me. ( I am not naming the person on purpose - no need, it might not be the guy who is responsible- it might be the org culture). Well, I guess BMO didn’t want my business !! Hard luck bmo, god knows how big it might become down the line. No wonder you are not the leader in the space. With such service you surely don’t deserve to be. Good luck.
The building complex is very beautiful. Looks like there are lots of offices, but only a few people were at the front desk. Probably needs more front desk people. A bit of a line-up there.
While the tellers are nice and doing their best this bank branch is not at ALL following covid-19 procedures. The situation I walked into today (May 25 at around 10:20 AM) was a belligerent man sitting in a chair growling and mumbling at customers while kicking his legs in the air, all while pulling his mask up and down and jumping in front of other customers. This was in no way ok, also two older men were in the bank completely unmasked and were not once asked to put a mask on. I felt like the situation was not being handled and mostly ignored by staff who were visibly uncomfortable. The whole situation left me feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, I won't be visiting this location again and will be strongly considering switching banks even though I've been with BMO for 7 years this situation has put me off greatly.
Pleasant experience with applying for a credit card with Dennis and I want to say her name was Lauren or Leslie. Service was friendly and efficient. This location doesn't have cash any more like a standard branch, which it sounds like people have been slow to catch on to. If you are looking for a standard branch location, it is not too far away (currently labelled BMO private bank on Google Maps). Overall, open concept design and friendly staff.
WORST customer service ever , first off I have a vehicle loan with bmo and in order to even check my balance or view anything I have to physically call bmo and ask for it , over the phone , that's right every time I need to acsess my bank account I have to dial a number wait on hold for 20 minutes just to have someone transfer me to the wrong dept and wait longer on hold, I cant open my phone and use an app , use a program on my computer or even go in to a branch and check, I have to call , they are the only bank I've ever heard of that has millions of dollars of loans run through them and yet in 2019 they dont have an app , or program that I can log into to check what I owe, they wont even give me a card or account number to use, its like I'm not worth they're time or effort, that's not good for buisseness.

I love BMO, the staff is so friendly and helpful. I tend to go in every couple of weeks to do my deposits in person instead of through the machine. I don’t even mind waiting in line because I know when I get to the teller, I will get the best service. My only wish is that they had photo deposit because I can’t get into the bank without having to take an hour off from work.
I became a customer because of Mr. Mody Barry and Mr Alexandre Lachappelle. Their expertise, superior customer service and warmth led to my family choosing BMO. We also loved every time we went to the branch as the front line employees at the counter from greeter to tellers are always helpful.

Don't waste your time... high turn over rate. Their staff doesn't know what there doing. This used to be my go to bank but now wouldn't go near it. The management is a joke, they go through Toronto for everything. They wasted 4 months of my time for a simple loan walked across the street to scotia from start to finish 4 days. They repeatedly fired people while I was going through the process. And also when I did complain to the manager he had my on speaker phone with the employee standing there. Completely unprofessional.... The customer service rep I was dealing with had to call the 1-800 number because none of the other staff would give him answers pathetic.

We got our mortgage with BMO through this branch. We have had so many problems due to errors on the side of the bank. Yet, it has been up to my husband and I to fix the problems. They caused issues with the notary, had us drive to the bank twice to give them cheques because of their screw-up, gave us documentation in French - when my husband has only spoken to them in English and not answered our emails unless we asked to speak to management. I cannot stress enough how one should choose a different bank to get their mortgage. I am incredibly disappointed we're locked in for five years with them. Edit - two weeks later - while BMO commented on my review, as you can see, they never responded to the email I sent to the address indicated. This highlights everything I said above.

People here are so rude, all I wanted to do was ask why my Apple Pay needed verification at the branch and there was a woman that said, “The branch is closing and you wouldn’t get it done here anyways since it’s an investment branch”. Not set up like the BMOs that I’m used to, I can imagine it might take some time if it is busy but it was not for me. My first time at this branch, did an address change with Dennis who was absolutely lovely with helping me and made sure the rest of my account was up to date. Great service from him!

Had a bad experience here today. I went to a teller and just wanted to make a simple withdrawal but some other worker came out of no where aggressively asking me personal questions and I never even asked her for help or anything. Did not appreciate it. I had a threatened feeling from her and left feeling sad. I did not do anything wrong and she should have talked nicely but she had a mean wicked tone to her voice. Totally unnecessary. I told the teller she made me feel bad. But at least now I know not to go to that bank because of that woman
This Bank of Montreal is located inside of a historic building. Is easily wheelchair accessible from the parking lot, located on the east side off Victoria Ave. Local legend says there is a tunnel that goes from the bank to one of the vent shafts from the old railway tunnel, supposedly both ends were sealed long ago but the tunnel still remains, though this has never been confirmed and is just a town rumor.
Very friendly and really they do their best to help.

Opened an account online in September 2020 and closed that same account September 2020 with a teller in person at this branch. Continued to receive monthly statements stating I owe monthly account fee's up until January 2021 when the account was auto-closed. Attempted to contact customer support to resolve issue and was instructed to contact branch. I contact the branch and it automatically redirects me back to the customer support. Teller clearly did not close the account, and caused this huge problem I cannot even solve. All this after waiting an hour in line to speak with an incompetent bank teller incapable of doing the job correctly. Avoid this bank and specifically this branch.
I've been with this bank since I was 16 years old. Today I am about to be 21 & I will be switching Banks. I was racially profiled at this location for trying to take out money from a loan. The manager ( she wouldn't provide her name) needs to be fired for talking to people so rudely. I was humiliated & told "we aren't giving you any money" & asked "where did you get this money" like I was someone off the street or fradualent. On Tuesday, May 23 at 10 am, I waited for over 20 minutes to be attended to. Others longer. Two people ahead of me left frustrated. The disappointed thing was the assistant bank manager on duty did not do anything to stop her staff from taking coffee breaks while 8 people were still waiting. Why not allow the staff to take their breaks after the line is depleted. Forty years as a BMO customer, I have never seen such poor customer service by the assistant Manager.
Knowledgeable and helpful staff, conveniently in a strip plaza with plenty of parking, during the off-hours this branch has Instabank machine.
They have been there for me always. People don't realize that these ( front line) workers are here for us. The Doctors and nurses yes....the grocery store clerks yes....why not the bank tellers and bank managers? I think we've all lost the capability to recognize just how much we need each other. Do not go to this branch. They do not value their customers or take the correct measures to ensure their customers feel comfortable. A couple weeks ago I attempted to make an online purchase for Xbox live using my debit credit . My transaction was refused and I was told to contact customer service. When I did, I was told that my card was not authorized to make online purchases ( I would like to add that for some reason or another for the past year I was unable to deposit anything via ATM for the same reason) . I was told there was nothing I could do about it and that I had to send in a request and have my branch review it and see what they say. ( Ive done this multiple times and they just keep procrastinating and telling me that a request has been put in and that I'll receive a response shortly). Cut to recently, I tried purchasing something at a local depanneur only to have my card refused. I tried going to a nearby ATM to withdraw with still the same result. Now, I know I have money in my bank account and so I went to a RBC branch nearby just to double check and make sure that there were enough funds, which there were, and still the transactions did not go through. I called customer service only to speak to a rude representative by the name of Stephanie telling me that I have online purchases on hold which I never approved of. Now remember when I said that my bank did not authorize me to make online purchases??? So obviously frustrated I asked to speak to her manager, Susan, who was also very biased and was not very open to me explaining my situation and to help me find a solution to this problem. She told me that there was nothing they could do about this possible fraud situation and that I would have to go to my branch to see what they can do for me. Great. So I ask Susan if she could stop any other transactions from going through on my account since I am not the one who is authorizing these and she told me no. So not only am I having money stolen from me right from under my nose but, on top of that, Susan doesn't even want to help me! Fast forward to 2 or 3 days later, I go to the store to buy a pack a of cigarettes and, of course, the transaction doesn't work. So, once again, I call customer service and I am told that NOW my account has been blocked because of the possibility of fraud. So, in short, I'm writing this review to let you know that I am very dissatisfied with the service that I have been getting from your branch for the past 2 years and this is coming from someone who has been with you for over 7 years. I've spoken to my neighbor who was also with BMO and was told that her account has been frauded with you guys twice already and both times she had felt like you guys were not taking her seriously. I will be closing my account with you as of shortly once I get all my affairs in order.

Always slow, but today was really bad. One teller was working, the line was long and there were 5 girls chatting behind the counter. Finally one girl opened up. I asked her for a roll of "toonies". She asked me what that was. I explained it was a two dollar coin and wondered why she didn't know. She said she was French and most of her customers speak French and she wasn't familiar with the expression. I then asked the manager of the bank why more tellers weren't opened with the long line. She explained that they are trying to "train people to use the automatic machines". Inconceivable.

This bank is sad especially when your money is suppose to be safe & insured. Why else does everyone and anyone pay monthly fees let alone use a bank? cause there suppose to be safe and secure... yet my own little brother looses 3,500$ and his bank dropped to 0 randomly with no flags raised due to a fake etransfer and the banks do nothing to help him. When you provide proof , they tell you its not good enough. Mean while its a deposit that withdrew all his money?? Hello corruption? Its been a whole year and not a single word. This just goes to show banks dont care to help anyone, no ones safe and they dont care for there clients/customer especially At this location.

I Am extremely unhappy with their service, went into the bank because the froze my account wouldn't tell me why they froze my account or any information on it. The lady at the desk talked to someone over the phone (abm) and then she proceeded to give me a new bank card because mine was stolen then I asked her if she could withdrawl money for me and she rudely said " no its fraud I don't want to do that " and told me I can do it myself. It is extremely unacceptable that I had to call in everyday for 2 weeks to finally get my money unfrozen that has come into my account every month for the last 6 years. Went to activate my new Mastercard yesterday (Friday) at the Dorval Branch. It's my first credit card with BMO so I can't activate it via phone or Internet. When I got in and explained that I was here to activate my new card, the man helping me went to get his collegue as he didn't know how credit card activations work... So that is fine. A lady comes, asks me to choose a PIN. I do... Then she says I am good to go! First of all, she didn't give me any information about the card and how to start using it, so I asked my questions, which is fine. She answered my questions in a dry manner and doubtfully.. I went to Thai Express down the street after that and my card was declined. I had no time to go back to the bank that day. Today, I tried to pay for my phone bill online.... didn't work. So I called BMO's credit card phone number, and they told me my card hasn't been activated and that I have to go back to BMO to do it... Most of their branches are closed on the weekend or close very early (when I am still at work).... So now, unfortunately and annoyingly, I must wait till Monday to go activate my card, and my bills will have to wait.... If you don't know how to activate a credit card, go get another collegue who can! I am truly not impressed at the moment.

Furthermore, no calls were picked up or returned in regards to why they were not contacting me or why they missed my appointment. Had good experiences over the years, but nowadays they don't even return phone calls. Update: After leaving this review -- and a 3rd voicemail that was a bit less cordial than my first two -- someone did call me back and resolve my issue to my satisfaction. As a general comment to the BMO Digital Care Team: It's 2020, we do business and banking in real time, 24/7. BMO needs to get with the times or be left behind, simple as that. Customers simply cannot be left waiting for days at a time, let alone hours. Do better.
Everytime I walk through the BMO parking lot from the Baker Street parking lot, I get harassed by the security guard who has nothing better to do with his day then yell at me and assume I parked in the BMO parking lot... IF I did park in that lot, he would have seen me do it. That is if he was doing his job. It's even more sad that the manager is okay with the security guard harassing people for no reason. Will never use BMO again.
Bank of Montreal Is a good bank. I have no issues with them. they are not like royal bank. What I like about bmo they give your debit card ???? from bmo right away no problems. They are very ???? nice ????. You don’t have to wait for your debit card in the mail unless they order one ☝️ for you. but that takes 5 to 7 business days. Another thing is that your debit card had your name on it. has well. It’s close of where I live. When you use your bmo debit card ???? you collect air miles has well. They never answer their phones, just get voicemail the last 3 days, even left a message but no one returned any of my calls. We have a business account with them and I going to move it to a better bank. This is the most frustrated bank to bank with.

Nice and sparkly however it is NOT user friendly. Who in their right mind would make you climb steps from street level to find a teller to assist you with a cash withdrawal? I'd use the ATM machines but they do not spit out the right denominations - still need improvement there. I stumbled on the last step climbing down this morning. The elevator tucked in the corner is useless as well. Not impressed.
Internet opening times say open until 5pm on weekdays. Clearly staff got lazy and left a sign saying they closed at 4pm on a Wednesday. Hugely disappointing.

The management needs to schedule more bank tellers. I don't know if they are trying to cut costs or what - but it's super unacceptable to wait over 1/2 hour when you are only 4th in line - to deposit a check. The bank tellers are getting abused from pissed off customers and then all of us are hearing it waiting! It's a really bad vibe. BMO Downtown Burlington Branch Do not enter this building. If you have accidentally entered this building, please turn around and walk towards the main exit. Do not trust anything anybody in this branch tells you, they will not stick to their word or treat you with respect. Do not walk away from this building, run. If you know the kind of people you would not trust to honestly and accurately tell you the colour of the sky, you know the kind of people employed at BMO's Downtown Burlington branch. Employees in this building to avoid: Everyone in the building. (EIB) Employees to Ask to Walk Away from You: Daniel, Financial Advisor Pretends to be friendly. Gets you into his office to open a Student Chequing Account. Contradicts himself multiple times. Nitpicks over your ID. Claims he will not be too particular over certain things before contradicting himself again by refusing your legally valid ID. Claims to accept general student information when you first meet him in the lobby. Requests additional information in the office. Claims that he has never seen "a typo on a piece of ID before", and that he cannot accept your ID because of the typo before implying baselessly that your ID is fake. Asks for your SIN Number. When rejected, he sends you to Service Ontario to get your ID replaced. The staff at the Service Ontario centre laugh at Daniel's statement regarding typos on ID and say that typos happen all the time with ID, before reissuing the ID without the typo. After 2.5 hours of your time go by (taken up by getting to the BMO Burlington Downtown branch, going to Service Ontario, waiting in line at Service Ontario, getting the updated ID and then going back to the BMO Burlington Downtown branch) and you get back to the branch, Daniel hides in his office, while you ask to speak to the branch manager with the updated ID in hand. Dave, the branch manager, rejects the ID you were just asked to get by Daniel based upon the merit of nothing. No one asks you for a utility bill, phone bill or online banking statement. No one takes accountability for anything. Be sure to stay away from this two faced pr*ck. Dave, Branch Manager Has no respect. Takes accountability and responsibility for absolutely nothing. Has the largest chip on his shoulder of anyone I have ever seen in the financial services industry. Has no manners. Is not worth your time, let alone your money. Rejects the ID you just got based upon the advice of his staff. Brushes this off like it means nothing. Offers no apology. Gets angry when he is told the policy of the branch seems to be confused. Dave was described to me by one former client who left BMO for RBC after Dave took over the branch from Jeff, who moved over to Hamilton Mountain, as "a complete d*ck". Cannot open a account ( literally didn’t unlock the card) and misregistered my personal information which lower my credit score and made me go to the other brunch 3more times to fix a basic manoeuvre! Lack of training, lack of basic common sense, lack of professionalism, even the manager didn’t match her title, cause everything happened under her supervision! It's hard coming to this bank during covid-19. The line ups always take more than half an hour. Lots of people end up walking away because the wait is so long, customers in the line get impatient and start insulting the bank for the incredible wait times. Even when you get in to see a teller there is NO privacy,the person next to you can easily overhear your conversation without any effort. Not to mention they can SEE what you are doing due to glass windows. BMO used to be so much better than this.

ATM machines are constantly broken or having issues. At least 20 times a year they are non functional and their is zero alternative other than having to drive to another town. Also constantly short staffed with endless waiting times cause when open everyone is forced to see one out of two tellers that are there. Huge disgrace

Had an amazing experience with this particular branch. The office is modern and the staff are just lovely! I opened an account with Sharmine and she walked me through the process and even gave me tips on how I can manage my credit better. The customer service that they have in this bank is the best that I’ve seen and experienced in Kelowna.
My visit was fine. The only reason I came to this location was because I needed to activate a credit card. I was approached by a staff member right away but it took 20 minutes to get it activated. Not impressed with that. The bank location is newer and in the new Enbridge Tower. It is clean and well lit. Not sure why the put the public entrance and tellers on the second floor. Probably because there is a pedway coming over from Manulife Place. Anyways I won’t be coming back and I don’t have any accounts with BMO.

I used to go regularly because I lived near by. I used the ATM machine. But once I needed BMO to cash a certified cheque I had made for a mover. But he insisted on cash. So I went to the cashier. He was very polite and helpful and I got the cash. All my business is with BMO.
We were from NC and was there for the Grand Prix and decided that we would love having a bank in Canada in case of more Grand Prix visit. Not actually a bank branch (used to be, but not anymore), not that any signage will advise you of this fact. You be left ungreeted and unattended to self checkin, wait patiently for 20 mins then be told you are waiting for nothing as contrary to any available info - they don’t do normal banking services. They will wave their hands around and say I should just know this... despite the fact all signage is IDENTICAL to a branch, and they have a bank of ATMs at the entrance, like any other branch. The staff truly don’t care, either. Note - so many other reviews MONTHS OLD saying the same thing as me - AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Even the apologies are carbon copies (and clearly without any substance). What is wrong with you?

I spent more than an hour to wire money from one account to another. The lady Anita was not just incompetent, but also rude and inpatient. We have never had any problem with the BMO in Richmond but having such a tough time in this Burnaby branch. Never coming back here again and should really work on the hiring. But outside of her, all the staffs were friendly and nice also knowledgeable. Would have spoke to a manager but just doesn’t have another hour for this matter.

I would rate zero stars if i could. Been banking with bmo for over 15 years. Visited over a dozen branch's. This is hands down the worst branch I have ever been to. They close the business line at 3pm resulting in 20-40min wait times. Does business end at 3pm ? Time to revamp your training and team at this location BMO. I would have discussed this in a phone call but nobody picked up.

Negative 5 star, Worst bank ever. DO NOT get your mortgage here!! Ended paying more cause they did two appraisals and screwed it up. Now years later it has now taken TWO YEARS to have my CO-owner assume the mortgage. They transferred the account 4 times and we had to redo the paper work each time. Then when the lawyers said it was all done, they never completed it and 6 months later when getting approved for another home, I find out that it was never completed and they never followed up! DO NOT use this bank. I could go on with more horror stories of the incompetency of this place.OH and they don't answer the phone, good luck getting a someone on the phone or a call back!

From my experience, It's actually a fine bank. The customer service is always top notch. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer Air Miles on certain bank accounts and credit cards and their bank machines are up to date and envelope free so there is no placing a hold on your cash deposits.

Horrible Business banking service. I have a small Business and had an phone appointment 2 weeks ago. After a short conversation, I was told that the person I was speaking to did not no the answer to the question I had. She said she would call back that day however after 2 weeks, sending 2 emails and leaving 1 voicemail, I still have not heard back. Not a peep. Nothing.
They are open and provide great customer service but as expected, because of covid 19, allowing only a few people in at a time. I'm glad I switched to BMO

BMO has the worst bank that I’ve ever dealt with. And this time he’s having wrong hours on the replays page for four months. I shop at 4:30 expecting them to be open, and they change the hours close at 4 PM.
Worst branch ever. It took over a year for them to file paperwork to remove my name from a mortgage, I've had to go in 3 times to cancel an account because the first 2 times they said they did it and the account wasnt closed, and recently I had to change account information and it wasn't done properly so I have to go back in and waste my time. Do yourself a favor and choose a better bank.
Only one teller when I went in 430 on a Saturday. No people. The teller was fantastic. She helped quivkly. We had a little misunderstanding, speaking through masks. But it was quickly rectified and I was on my way. I cannot remember her name but she went to school in London. We had some laughs. I think the misunderstanding was she was remembering her youth! Everyone can hear and see transactions including when you are handed sums of cash and walking out...extremely uncomfortable as a woman. They need a privacy wall between. My mother passed February 15th was a difficult time. As I am the executor of her will I went to the Bank of Montreal in March to have Bank of Montreal set me up as the executor. I gave all legal documents to Daniel with the assumption he would set me up as executor. I told Daniel this was a stressful time and that I needed his help. Daniel indicated B of M was really busy (in midst of covid 19 etc.) and didnt seem to want anything to do with me. Daniel called me next day and told me to pick up legal documents (my assumption was B of M was taking copies to ensure I was executor). When I arrived the 2nd time Daniel didnt even meet and had someone in the Bank lineup give me the legal documents back. he didnt want to/refused to meet me. After that I called B of M head office and B of M head office in Toronto said it was the managers job to see me and help me. I found the B of M people in Toronto very helpful over the phone. The accountant called me to indicate they urgently needed information from my mothers bank account for tax purposes for the 2019 tax year. I went down to the B of M branch on Brant Street today (October 19th) and the young gentleman indicated B of M has no information or documentation and I couldnt access my late mothers bank accounts at all hence they couldnt give me any information. I couldnt believe it as I told him I brought all the legal documents to Daniel in March to be set up as executor in March. I find this unbelievably frustrating. I need the Bank of Montreal to assign me someone other than Daniel to setup myself as executor as per legal documents and to access the 2019 deceased bank account's to get the information the accountant needs for 2019 tax. UPDATE As an update to this review I met with Bibi Bacchus today (October 22nd) at Bank of Montreal Brant Street. Bibi was very gracious and very helpful. Bibi went through the process and it only tooka a short oamount of time she accepted the legal documents and was so kind in helping me go through the transactions one by one for 2019 to get the information the accountant needed tin order to submit the 2019 taxes for the deceases. Overall I would rate Bibis customer service as 5 out of 5. However as my initial experience with a different indivudal was 1 out of 5 have revised the customer service score to 3 out of 5 thanks to Bibis assistance. I'm going to have to side with Jason on this one, the folks working at this branch are simply wonderful. It's a small, therefore intimate branch and each and every person is working hand in hand with the other so the customers get 110% attention. In the time that I was there, most every customer that came in the door and up to the counter, addressed the staff by their names and no, they were not wearing tags. By the time i left I knew all their names too. I truly believe that the naysayers are all a bunch of half wits and the only reason that they are complaining is because they walked through the wrong door and were trying to cash their government checks at the Fish and Chip Shop. I give everyone at this branch 5 stars and a big thank you for all your help, your were brilliant.

I visited this location twice for international wire transfer. The first time I did not proceed with the transaction because I felt the transfer fees was too much. However, the second time the associate told me that BMO does not have an agreement with the bank so I cannot transfer using wire transfer. There was another associate who confirmed this statement. Fortunately, I found out that my other bank allows me send a wire transfer online. The problem was that the Swift code had three extra Xs, which were the branch code. I think an associate should be able to figure this out rather than tell the customer the bank does not have an agreement.
Dissatisfied with this BMO location as i am constantly harassed by the older security man. I work downtown Guelph and i parked in baker lot and walked through BMO parking lot, and got profusely yelled at for walking away from BMO bank assuming i parked in their lot. Not only was he not at his location he was in RBC lot where both men continued to yell at me for allegedly parking at BMO. Threatening me that i will get ticketed and followed me close to cork street. This isnt the only time the elderly security man has harassed me. I do not feel safe going to my main branch anymore. I actually hope i can give negative points. The staff is very unhelpful, and kind of rude. I understand that there are people lining up. But it is not an excuse to be rude. Waited for a while to get a very short and unclear answer.
Poorly trained manager, refused to honor the promises made to me by BMO. First and last time I will ever visit this branch. After five minutes here, I was making appointments with other banks to discuss moving my personal, business, and investment accounts away from BMO..... just brutal
Service is always slow
We've been loyal, long-term customers and have always had a great working relationship with BMO in Brockville but because of the lack of parking due to their parking lot always being full during weekday banking hours , it's been harder and harder to access the bank when necessary. It's NOT because of an excess of BANK customers, it's the lot being used by people attending the municipal court and the 2 churches very close to the bank...which is hard to understand since their is a HUGE sign as you pull in the lot that it is for BANK customers during banking hours ONLY! With winter and snow removal both IN the lot and on the streets, the parking is pretty much non-existent for actual customers. It would be terrible to have to take our business elsewhere but it is increasingly more frustrating each week to be unable to park there....can the signage NOT be enforced??

Very unhappy with the service I am receiving from this branch location. It's currently my closing date, I have provided everything requested well in advance, my lawyers office has provided the request for funds 4 business days prior to closing and its currently nearly 3PM and the lawyers office has yet to receive the funds. I have called the branch 8 times before getting in contact with someone. completely unreliable in a stressful time.

I went into BMO to establish a HELOC with Matt. Matt explained everything that I needed to know in depth and really took the time needed so that I'd be comfortable with the decision I was making. Worst BMO branch ever. I waited in the line up for 20 min and couldn't pay the parking ticket, although there were only 2 persons ahead of me , even the guy who came before me was pissed off coz of the waiting time. The tellers are tooooo slow. 2 tellers were there And 2 other employees were not doing anything. I always go to downtown montreal at chomedy, the staff over there is super fast and polite at the same time. I arrived at 1:35 pm and left at 1:55 without seeing a teller coz i had to start work at 2.
This "bank" has begun blocking debit transactions to organizations that are in direct competition with BMO. This is the first time I have experienced a bank telling me how I am allowed to spend my own money. I will be closing my account immediately.

Kyler carefully and compassionately guided us through the process of executing our dad's estate account during a very difficult time. He also helped us set up new accounts in a way that most benefited us. He's detail-oriented, proactive and patient. Not everything can be done at this branch but he's available at the one across the street as well which will take care of everything else.

I pre-booked an appointment for a certain time on Friday afternoon with Peter Saratsiotis and received an email conformation. When I arrived at the set time, the bank doors were closed. Knocked on the window and was met buy 4 employees, showed them my printed appointment paper, but was told that Peter was not there and the bank was closed. They didn't even have the decency to call or email me with the changes. The fact that there were 4 or 5 bank workers still in the branch doing nothing at the time makes it unacceptable that they did not contact me whatsoever.

Extremely displeased with the level of professionalism from not only this Branch but also the call centre. I was pre-approved for a line of credit over the phone with the call centre, twice. I come to this branch (my home branch) and spoke with Aaron whom had told me he looked at my approval and was going to work with me. I'm in commissioned sales, and proving my income seemed to be bit diffficult. But I did the necessary backround work to get my income approved. First my onilne CRA T4's didn't work, so Aaron told me to get originals from the CRA. Then when I got originals from the CRA, he said he already had the numbers worked and would be sending the scanned copies of the originals to the pricing department. Meanwhile I'm assuming he saw ALL of what information was on my approval. Then, he tried contacting me Saturday, I tried to get in touch with him Monday, sent him an e-mail, called him twice and when I finally reached him, he told me that the people at the call centre forgot to enter in information on the application and because of that it was denied. I'm sorry, but if you are a professional doing this day after day, and you see information that wasn't entered, or information that would hinder the approval process, would you not say that before making a customer go leaps and bounds to prove his income? Not to mention your call centre that apparently falsifies information to lead a customer on who was never really approved in the first place. I'm looking at switching banks. This is ridiculous. Going to CIBC this morning.

I use to love BMO. I would give them negative stars if I could. Privacy is next to none for appointments (glass windows so everyone sees you and your business? Sure it's a bank, but they never had glass doors/windows in their old locations). Why must I now sit down to meet a teller? This is an inconvenience, and wastes time. Lineups are insane. Tellers take as long as they can. Why not have an express line or something? I am a very patient person, but when I walked in to more than 20 people in line yesterday... Something's not right. Also, having closed their two previous central locations and reopening only one branch in such an odd location still mind-boggles me. Finally, I have to meet a teller to deposit american money (still behind on not having ATMs that withdraw or deposit american money). I've made complaints and suggestions to BMO head office and have never received an answer from them - not a care in the world for their clients. Seriously considering changing banks. Do. Not. Well as we all know that bmo is becoming know as the worse bank on earth and easy to figure this out by just reading 5 minutes of posted reviews, but still I consider Ladner branch is something else. Don’t try to call as no body will reply. Monday they close, yes weird but may be some employees whom are mostly kids have part time job. Just guys close ur Acount there and move to other bank. One word : DO NOT GO to that branch. Worst service ever, worst manager ever: their job is to make you leave BMO . Google is there a negative star ranking, because this branch does bot desreve even a 0 star. 40 days, 2 times personnally in that branch , 1 phone call with their center and finally phone call by the so called branch director (a joke) to pay the school tax (i have a mortgage with a tax account collected by BMO for this end).Finally after almost 2 weeks overdue, i end up paying the tax from my own account and hoping they will be able to refund me (plus i still have to wait for the penalty for being late). On the 4 occasions , i was told that my taxes will be paid "right now" , and my tax account has triple the amount required, but no payment was made, no call back , and every time restart from scratch. BMO surely do not value their customers otherwise they would have closed that excuse of a branch. Again i have to give one star to be able to post, but the real value is negative five.

Trying to simply add a name to an existing bank account. You would think this would be as simple as visiting the customer service desk, however had to book an appointment for 3 hours later to add name. Would like to call branch manager to complain, however BMO does not publish names of managers for their respective branches on their website. Tried to call branch numerous times, however it appears that nobody is answering phone calls at the branch. Voicemail indicating that they will attempt to return phone calls by end of business day. Called customer service call centre where attendant transferred call to branch manager's extension. Branch manager's voicemail indicated that he is out of the office until August 21 (today), but yet to be updated to indicate whether manager is in today. Called back to branch and tried every employee listed in staff directory with not a single employee answering. Would recommend that if you want a bank offering any level of customer service, that you look elsewhere.

During certain demanding time in a day, clients are required patience on line up. But, those customer representatives skills are talented and generous to provide better services to each client. Look like senior position staffs back up appropriately their team once it get busier. I receive certain tips for daily banking from them time to time. Thanks BMO.
I am not supposed to have monthly charges of 15.95$. Since I joined this bank 7 months ago, I keep being charged and have to send emails every months to get the refund. For the past 3 months, I sent emails to 2 employees but keep being ignored! 1st email sent on April 2nd, second email sent on April 17th, third email sent on April 30th but still no answer/follow up from both employees!!! Very poor service! Next step, calling the head office and make an official complaint against both employees!

My wife Julia and I went there yesterday Wednesday, September 23,2020 at 3:00 pm to rescheduled appointment (we would like to know how much money can we get for mortgage). My wife Julia is BMO customer for 22 years. East indian Ange -customer service representative wanted us to sign some paper (we did not understand what does she want , we ask, she couldn't explain to us) .Then she gave us only last page to sing and she kept 3 pages for herself we asked 3 times for these pages to read them and then sing it, she sad no, then my wife Julia was disappointed and raised her voice, suddenly no "well trained manager came he started to screaming at my wife Julia to sing the paper, again he hold these 3 pages for himself no explanations, he didn't even know what was going on. My wife Julia and I we were very disappointed and shocked how they treat us Never, ever came back to these branch this was our first and last time. If I can give them( -10 ) I will. No matter pandemic or not the service at this branch is deplorable. There is always a line of customers, not enough tellers and people are frustrated. No one ever makes changes to improve the service. The manager is never around to see how his employees operate. Now with a pandemic going on, everything is worse. Will it ever improve, probably not. Shame on you. All the profits made by the banks should help to hire qualified people.

There never open when you need them
Horribly run branch. The manager there won't even get out of his seat to come chat with me after they tried to tell me the person I booked an appointment with isn't there and that I'd have to reschedule. No communication whatsoever is so disappointing. Another issue is them not training their mortgage associates. Never ever go to BMO for a mortgage! Don't give them your business. Their employees aren't trained in mortgages so you will have a person who doesn't know what there doing trying to help you with a very large important transaction. I can't say this enough, please never ever use BMO for anything.
First time I've been at this branch, the unprofessional and judgemental tone and customer service made me really uncomfortable. I believe it was one of the female managers sitting in as a teller as well. For someone who's been with BMO for 10+ years this is absolutely the worst branch I've been to.
Bank machine inaccessible after hours
Worse BMO ever. Couldn't process basic transactions such as opening a bank account. The manager errors was made that froze my card. Couldn't set a pin and had to change debit card completely. Lack of knowledge. Save your time and money and don't go there.

People please avoid this location. Now I've always had a bad experience with BMO but this one is a whole different level of ridiculousness. I visited this location to ask why my app wasn't logging me in and after waiting for literally over 45 minutes at their door (not even offered a seat) and the rep had to ask a "manager" I was given a very misleading info that bcuz I don't have a chequing account and just a MasterCard I no longer can access the account to see my balance. Which turned out to be completely false as I was able to access it after talking to over-the-phone customer service. But it was too late as I missed one payment (small amount) and it completely messed up my Credit report. The other rep I spoke with over the phone assured me that because this had happened by mistake on BMO's end, they'll take that missed payment off my records and asked me to wait up to 90 days for that to happen but (of course) it didn't happen and still is showing a missed payment on my report. Neither the rep nor the manager or the rep over the phone were held accountable despite misleading a customer and displaying a very poor customer service. Please people do yourselves a favor and don't listen or trust anyone at this location or over the phone. Even better yet if you just take your business to another bank that values customers.

I came in to withdraw at the ATM. While doing so I found I was holding somebody else's card. I saw I had mine so I thought I would return it to a teller. Well, as I was entering I saw a man clearly senior. It all happened so fast, the man was trying to approach a Teller to very clearly tell him something. The tell wouldn't listen to him but kept telling him to wait in line, or sit down. I was entering the bank at that moment. It occurred to me that he was trying to tell the teller he had lost his card, I heard him say that. Knowing I had a card that didn't belong to me. Piecing two and two together. I cut everybody off and said aloud, he's trying to tell you he's lost his card. Why does he have to stay in line for that. He was sitting in a chair. I spoke to tell them that they were giving the poor old guy a heart attack. The man was clearly flushed. I stopped all of it and waved the card in the air, told them they should be nicer to seniors and told them I think I found his card. I handed the other teller the card and advised him to make sure he identifies himself before he gives him the card. I turned and left. Seniors are intimidated by the new technology, patience please. Not I though I worked in it, but I'm still a senior so I know what it's like.

The new BMO hours are awful. Anybody working a regular 9-5 job cannot visit the branch, and they don't offer customer service (by phone) on weekends. I will be looking to switch banks ASAP and transferring / closing my accounts with the BMO. I should not need to take a day off of work to visit the bank. This is ridiculous. Anybody considering joining BMO, run for the hills. I have other friends with bad experiences as well!
Very bad experience with this branch. Waited for over a hour to talk to a manager only to be told a hour later that she is on lunch and it will be another hour. Was also told that this was my fault because I wanted to wait instead of receive a phone call which I am still waiting for hours later. Nobody told me that she would be taking lunch a hour after the bank opened...if 0 stars were an option that's what I would give this branch

I have been with this Bank for 25 years, and unfortunately the past 2 years have not given us much attention - big changes in staff, a lot of training of new staff took priority over the lineups of customers, did not reply to my questions I sent by phone. I guess it is time to move to TD, who seem to understand what I am asking.

Went in to close an overpaid line of credit, offered to even open an account to have the funds transferred. Zero help, took my information it has been over 24 hours and nothing. They just seem to have no idea what to do, or how to answer questions, or provide real solutions. I've worked at a bank, this is not a complicated thing, it's a simple override. I have to give a big shout out to the bank teller at BMO Kenora Ontario , my Husband I have a joint bank account and I could never get Online Banking for myself , I had to deposit a cheque and she asked if i needed help with anything so I mentioned my Online Banking Problem , well she told me to start with I needed my own Debit Card to do this , not only did she get me 1 but also setup my Online Banking . What great service taking the time to do this for me , so thankful and I wish i could have remembered her name to thank her .

BMO in general is a crappy bank, i opened my first cc here through sfu. I asked for the payout balance to close the account and they gave me the wrong amount! This branch is particularly useless as they don’t even have teller service. The staff i dealt with had poor communication skills and an attitude. Glad i’m done with BMO and don’t have to deal with their sub-par service any more!
Used to be a great branch when competent people of age and experience worked there. Now staffed with inexperienced, overly curious, prying, Millennials half of whom are barely competent. Worse, they formed a clique where they work in unison to bog down the client with needless questions, many not even remotely relevant to the transaction at hand, that they repeat over and over again even after you gave them an answer. One simpleton can't even count money. He has to start over 3 or 4 times just to get it right once. Also the attitude isn't there. Customer service with expediency isn't their priority in the least. They are proud rather than helpful and display no ability to learn or change. Take these young folks and send them each to a different branch where they can benefit from grooming in a different environment and contact with older bank workers who know their stuff. I never have these issues in any other BMO branch except this one.

WORST customer service ever. Went there today at 4pm That girl that works there Samreet i think her name is, she was so rude. First she told us rudely to wait behind the door after people were already line up there and didnt say anything. Then she was sitting with her hands crossed and just not ready to help us cash our cheque. She said rudely to us, we dont cash cheque from other parties and we are not gonna start today. Then i cash a different cheque in a different bank account at the ATM . She proceed to stop helping her customer gets out from behind her desk to get to the ATM machine where i was standing and then tells me if you try to cash that cheque im gonna flag it. I told her to mind her own business and to help the customer she was helping. I felt attacked and harrased by this person on more than one occasion during my visit at your branch. I still cannot believe someone in customer service would act the way she did.
I love my business bank here with the BMO always great experience if there was a 7 * I would give them 7 Star because RBC always gives problems and they would ask you hundred question before they help you with anything I recently took a check 2 RBC and I'm also RBC client and they wouldn't certify my check I took it to BMO and I didn't even need to certify it and they didn't even put a hold on the check it just shows how careless RBC is.

Anna is superb in customer service, and all 5 stars to her, Although I had many credit cards, because of her explaining about the benefits of having the BMO card, I took it. I have been going to this branch for 4 years and have experienced nothing but rude, disrespectful and judgemental behaviour from most of the staff. I go to this branch for bill payments or some other transitions and teller makes errors always (atleast 3 times I remember). I have to go again for corrections, recovery for interest on my bill etc. and the service sucks. Seriously considering to close account there.

I have been hoping my situation with this branch would be resolved by now. I am frustrated beyond belief and this is why I am going to leave my review. I don't know what's going on with BMO lately but customer service is extremely bad. My husband passed away and I am handling his estate. This bank works with estate specialists that will not return phone calls, or emails from my financial advisor. Over one month ago hes not getting any responses and I am paying money from my wages to clear up his debts. They will not release his finances to me until he hears from her. This is unacceptable from big bank. They are giving me the run around and seem uninterested in getting answers for me. The bank manager and my financial advisor are basically shrugging their shoulders. The Orchard and main branch are ignoring their customers and nothing is being done.Other reviews about these branches are confirming my thoughts. I'm fed up.

Where to begin. I rarely post - patience is a virtue - but my experience today or lack thereof was frustrating. Today was the fourth time since July of this year, between my wife and I, that we checked the bank hours online (at the official BMO site screen, capture below - still incorrect) and when we arrived in person for service the branch was closed. There was a relatively unhelpful paper sign on the door saying the branch had modified hours and closed at 4:00 pm as opposed to 5:00 pm. From what I gathered from a passerby this paper had been on the door for some time. This is the 21st Century; update your website for goodness sakes - that is how the world communicates and seeks information. I find it frankly frustrating that this BMO branch does not know to update their website and keep it updated. Time is money and we all have better things to do than drive the 15-25 minutes one way not to be served. While on the subject, the business hours this BMO branch does provide are insufficient. Unless you're a retiree most people work within the 09:30 am - 5:00 pm window (really 4:00pm now) Monday thru Friday. Extended hours at least one evening a week and perhaps one weekend morning does not seem like too much to ask; TD does it (screen capture below). Very honestly, I've commenced the conversation of is it worth the trouble to change banks because more of this amateurishness leaves me with little recourse than to take my business elsewhere.

Response to BMO web team. There have been numerous times I have went to go to ABM to get cash (some businesses here don't accept credit or debit purchases) only to discover that it was out of service. Therefore I have to get cash from an ATM at a bar and pay their machines service fee. This location is only open Monday to Fridays from 10-4 Mon-Thurs and 10-5 Fridays. Which is only convenient to people who work in town or can get lunch breaks in town to do their banking. My employer has be out of town daily, usually 7 am to 530pm so I am forced to take shifts off of work in order to do any sort of banking, forcing me to lose pay or use up vacation time. If there was another option I would take it, but since there are still lots of cash transactions in this town, plus the frequent internet outages making debit or credit purchases impossible, I require cash and therefore will need to keep some monies in a BMO account so I don't get charged to access my own savings.

The mortgage staff here are inept. Information was withheld from us until the last min at which point we were essentially forced to accept their terms or we would lose our house. They have blundered up other large financing transactions and have provided poor customer service at best. Worst service of any bank I have ever been a customer of. They caused so many issues for us, we had to return 3 times in one day to get a debit card since they kept making errors. AVOID THIS BRANCH

Terrible service. Do not go on your lunch hour unless you have 45 minutes to an hour to waste. You will stand in line without being acknowledged and like a lot of people leave because your lunch hour is over. During one of the busiest times of day one person working doesn't make sense. They do not listen to you or try to problem solve anything. Very disappointing.
Very poor management, the one lady I guess runs the place is so rude, talks down to you. I thought BMO was a good bank for a while but since moving to Burlington from Brampton...... and sad to say I rather deal with my old Branch in Brampton then here in Burlington

Bmo is a 5/5 for me and largely in part to Lori, the senior banker. She is highly capable, detail oriented and just an all around excellent person. She goes above and beyond and she always treats her clients with respect. BMO is lucky to have her and she is the reason we continue to return for all of our banking and investment needs.

"Inexperienced, overly curious, prying, Millennial" here. I use this branch because it's close to my home and I need it for help with LOC, chequing, daily deposits and taking out coins sometimes for laundry. The staff here are very polite and patient with the diverse range of customers, and experienced with providing assistance to a variety of needs. I've seen the staff change up from time to time but it's never changed the outcome of the service I have received. BMO is consistent for my banking needs and has been great with safety precautions during COVID-19.
They don't have any cash on hand if you need to withdraw money don't go there.
Can't get proper assistance from this branch either in person or over the phone. Just don't get it!
For a simple money transfer that should have taken 3-4 weeks from one bank to this one they decided to take currently 9 months now. I've gone in multiple times and they cant seem to get their stuff in order and now I'm still missing over 2500 dollars because they dont get back to people, they chose to lie to me and said they would call when it was ready and that was 2 months ago

To be truly helpful during this time, please offer teller services on Saturday, to do things such as buy and deposit US cash. Without teller services it's not "open" on Saturday.
