We had a 2;00 appointment today set by a manager at CC regarding a new mortgage. They had absolutely no idea who we were. No info at all. The person we were to see never came to work today. Really bad first impression! This is our life's savings. A mortgage! Not a bottle depot!

The only reason I continue to bank here is because they're free. Some of the staff is great, but the rest are awful. Rude, unhelpful, and don't give a crap about their customers. Also, trying to get ANY money from them, even with near-perfect credit, is difficult to impossible.

Between the lack of customer service from our business representative (Jeff Tetlow) at Coast Capital Savings I am extremely disappointed with CCS. I have been attempting to resolve an issue with Global Payments via asking for some assistance from CCS with no luck. This issue dates back to 2017 and we are being overcharged and no one seems to care at all. Between the lack of service and how often your online web services gets hacked or is down for maintenance I would not recommend anyone bank with your organization due to the lack of trust shown. If someone wants to reach out to assistant me I would appreciate a response in the form of a call from a branch manager.

This review is more towards the Coast Capital mortgage department - and the staff at the branch were actually fairly decent and helpful. Now to my mortgage story: I was pre-approved for my mortgage back in FEB for a new condo but unfortunately it was delayed in completion and my pre-approval was expired at the end of April. I went back for a formal application in May as I was notified that my condo will finish at the end of May. I sent in all of the requested documents in the first week of May. For the next 3 weeks Coast Capital kept on asking me for prove of ALL of my money coming in and out, big and small, without realize that THEY HAVE PRE-APPROVED MY MORTGAGE and that i have a deadline of May 31. Finally, on May 25, I was so fed up that I told them that if they won't approve, I'm walking because I cannot afford to wait anymore - you guys pre-approved me, and now you want me to provide all these extra prove of money for all amounts, under this tight deadline, forcing me to panic and look elsewhere. How can you guys be SO insensitive in the timing of things? WHY DIDN"T YOU ASK FOR THESE DURING THE PRE_APPROVAL? Why make me scramble at the end and making my life miserable for your own lack of due diligence during the pre approval? Anyways, I was instantly approved after my rant which seems even more ridiculous. I will not renew with Coast nor do any banking with Coast after this disgusting experience.

The bank is fine I guess. The person monitoring the parking who so rudely told me to leave on the other hand was less satisfactory. When I asked him for his name and who his employer was he refused and said he works for himself. He had no identification other than a orange vest. I was waiting to go in to open an account with my mother in law she just happend to have to get blood work done first so we parked and she went In. The so called parking attendant found it Necessary to come knock on my window and told me to leave or I’d get a parking ticket for 75 dollars. Very unsettling being that he wouldn’t identify himself.

Worst place ever to have handle your money and investments. Always having an issue with them. And the wait times are way over an hour. Definitely looking for another place to handle my money and investments. And the customer service is horrible

If you have a lot of time on your hands, this is the place for you. Today there were two Representatives helping one representative who was with a customer. Do you really need three to figure out an issue? I was waiting for at least 15 mins and I was the first person in line. The tellers are extremely slow. In addition, the individual sitting at the front when you walk in looked extremely miserable. No smile or greeting.

Terrible, terrible incompetent bank. They closed the branch nearest to me. Now I have to drive at least an hour to do in person banking, which I need to do at times. CC kept open more then 1 branch in areas of Vancouver, but closed all the branches east of Clearbrook. Disgraceful service.

They have an ultra friendly staff that actually makes an effort to learn your name and everyone is very friendly. However, they only have a handful of tellers working each day, so be prepared for long wait times if you need to see a teller. This location is closed on Sundays which makes bank transactions a little more difficult. It was recommended to use the online banking as much as possible until the credit union recently switched over to a new online banking system is actually worse than the previous system.

Completely and utterly incompetent. All I wanted to do was open a savings account and the woman made the process so frustrating and difficult that I picked up my money and left. She kept repeating things, starting conversations with other employees and didn't know the process. 1.5hrs later I left. Pathetic. My advice is to remove your money from the banks and buy bullion and other forms of wealth outside of their system. The way they're operating here is not sustainable.

Horrible. Only reason for 2 stars is the manager is doing the best with what she has to work with. Treated like a number for the most part. Unfortunately your great new manager can not win me back by herself. Low staffing numbers on busy times and lenders treating long time customers like numbers. I have complained multiple times to several people with no changes. I have moved my mortgage and will be closing all my accounts over the next year.
