Been banking here for ~10 years and it's progressively gotten worse over time. Usually few staff present most of who only speak broken english and will either redirect you to a website/phone number or deflect your questions and show you the door. I used to like this branch a lot. Sad.

I am so surprised that they only got 2.9 rating on google reviews. Everyone I spoke with from this branch, provides excellent customer service, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I have lost my wallet, and ask them to issue an new bank card for me without ID on July 26th. The attention to detail provided by the front desk guy( forgot to ask his name) was impressive and he is a fine ambassador for the company. Ralph Jumawan helped me for all my requests. His service is smooth,straightforward and save me a lot of time. His service was spot on. Overall, Fantastic location! Excellent customer service! Efficient process!

It's not often that a bank is open on Sunday (that isn't a credit union). Being said, it's never a quick in and out waiting for a teller. Everything somehow seems slow. That aside, the branch is clean and modern. Three ATM's feels a bit light. It's a large lobby, could accommodate a 4th. But the ATM's are pretty slick, it scans your cheque and your receipt prints out an image of that receipt. The cash deposits are cool, no more counting money, it auto counts for you (Although wise thing would be to know roughly how much it is you're depositing so you can verify the accuracy). Makes other ATM's look very dated. Anyways, the branch is good if you don't mind it being a bit small (3 ATM's and queue's for tellers).Lack of dedicated parking sucks, you meters outside only.

Walked in for a new comer account. Was given appointment 3 hour later at 2 pm. Ok enough. Meeting started 2.15 pm. She answered all my questions on account and credit card. Impressed I got things done ????. Google review don't do justice, it's just a non cash branch.

I went into this branch to use the atm and witnessesd one of the staff racially profiling and antagonizing a young aboririginal gentleman and was absolutely appaled at his display of racism and dehumanization so i walked over to glance at his name tag and it was ryan. i hope management at this branch does a better job screening their empoyees because this was unacceptable.

DO NOT RELY ON THIS BANK. I ordered a bank draft and was told that they ran out of physical slips. No advance warning, no estimated date when they will come in stock. There are 5 big banks in Canada - competition is fierce.

Compared to the T.D. Bank across the street , The line up at CIBC is never as long and the tellers just seem to be quicker ... ....The Hours are the best & the staff is always friendly, not like the RBC down cross Kingsway by Rotten Ronnies ...There is an older white lady teller in RBC that is just rude , I always refuse to go to her stall ...And the Royal has an old handicapped lady in a wheel chair begging in front of their door , Its really disgusting they allow this , the lady should be in a seniors care facility its atrocious to say the least I would rate the CIBC at #2 of the banks around Highgate with only the ''#1;G&F Credit union'' on the corner by Rona beating CIBC out ..and BMO coming in at a very close #3 ..then RBC @ #4 and TD @ #5 because of the terribly slow understaffed service ....

A good ATM. They were busy during a time I scheduled an appointment and they mailed instead of faxed an account application that never made it to corporate. If you need to speak to a human being, do yourself a favour and drive down the road to the CIBC branch at Appleby and Dundas. Their knowledge, organization and customer service are far superior.

A weird bank layout. Came here for a bank draft and I had to wait a long time (15+ min) because the only person working was busy with another customer. I guess it's okay if you just want to do basic atm functions. But the location is soooo big, what a waste of a location.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My cheques were ordered incorrectly and it took four orders and numerous phone calls to finally receive them. I was also given e-deposit slips with the wrong information. Essentially one appointment at this branch resulted in a 3 week headache. Do not go here!

Stay away From the tellers to the branch Manager Robert Lowther could not be a worse run branch. Save your self the headache and go with a better bank. The higher management should defiantly look into the way this branch is run on a daily basis.

The employees keep directing me to use over the phone banking as they do not have the training or authority to fix anything on your bank account. What ever happened to customer service.

Cibc was my first bank account in Canada since 2002. And I had my first mortgage here in Hastings and Penticton. This location is 5 mins away from my home now. But there is no teller. Only ATM. It is really unconvenient. So I have to move many of my bank account to RBC TD.

I love it. Not only is it a very handy location when I'm downtown, but the ATM machines will dispense $2,000.00 per withdrawal. The ATM near my home has a maximum of $800.00.

Branch manager Sarah should be sacked or reprimanded for allowing tweakers to turn this into a hostel at night. Opens her doors and keeps the heat on at night but will not go to bat for the working class after changing the terms & conditions midway through a sign-up bonus. Having to trample over not one, not two but three people sprawled out on the floor is not a good look even for Preston and not something corporate wants to hear about.

I spent 30 minutes here trying to pay land tax, in person, ended up leaving and going to a different branch; because they didn't know how to do that here. Staff is nice at least.

I normally never write reviews for services or stores, but the customer service here was amazing today. I came in to fix an issue with my debit card and the staff quickly gave me a phone number to call and offered for me to sit and call on one of their couches so they can help if need be. The issue was resolved in under five minutes! So pleased with my experience- keep doing what you're doing.

I've fortunately been with CIBC for years now and found the best CIBC is this particular bank branch downtown. Best service and advice from honest CIBC staff. You will Not deal with a better bank manager as he is by far the best manager to deal with around. Highly recommended.

How can a major bank be run like this? The staff have no clue what they are doing. The manager Robert Lowlife is high on Ambien and can't get a sentence out with out zoning out. Major changes needed, had to change branch just to avoid these people. CIBC WAKE UP!!!

Sent my global money transfer to a wrong account number, when he printed my receipt I checked and told him that he made a mistake. Long story short they said they can do nothing and I have to contact the other end and ask for a refund... but they can pay for my phone calls !!! Don’t go there

This is the worst experience I have with this location. I requested for a bank letter and they told me to wait 1-2 weeks and that they will call me when it's ready. At the end of two weeks, I called the branch and no one ever answered so I dropped by at the branch. The teller said "THE REQUEST WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE THEY DONT DO BANK LETTER ANYMORE." Yet, no one tried to call to inform me. I had to request another one. It's ridiculous that I have to wait a month just to get a bank letter. Please avoid this branch.
