You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is scarce, and it's based on a high number of opinions, so we may think that the assessment is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to give feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Bank is classified in the category of Post office.
If I could give zero I would. Mistake made by shipper resulted in the most unprofessional, inappropriate behaviour I have ever seen. Verbally harassed and publicly embarrassed for not having the correct name. The show the one young(?) blonde attendant put on deserves to be fired. To then hear an epic argument about me in the back with the two blonde short haired women and on top of that the older one jumped in the conversation without ever being involved like some bully. The utter disrespect and nonsense that was coming out of there mouths were laughable. The only saving grace were the two kind gentleman explaining the situation calmly, professionally and responsibly. The manager gave me his personal email and told me to send him a play by play of what happened and apologized on their behalf. Seriously never seen anything like this, it's a sad thought to think people in customer service would actually lose there temper like that and behave in such a childish manner. I'm not sure what is going on behind close doors but it sounds like those two need to retire. Ladies(?), if you see me coming in for my mail please keep your distance.
They deliver fast to where you need your item shipped. But to get mail in Banff is a tad difficult because ordering anything online and having it delivered to your address, it comes up as a non deliverable address, even though other couriers have no issues finding my address.. so I am not sure what is going on here with that. But other than that Canada post has great service
I have lived all over the world and Banff PO is the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Every time I am due a letter I have to wait in a massively long queue only to be told I have no post. Some of the staff are unfriendly and very slow, why do you have to queue up to get an envelope only to queue up again to send it? Today I had to queue up only to be told my item wasn't there, when I checked Amazon and Canada post online it said my item was there waiting to be collected so I line up again and low and behold it is there! Also, training new staff at peak times is just silly, and please, if your staff are going to sit round and chit chat out the back, make sure they are out of view of everyone in the queue.
OMG, scariest post office in Canada
Everyone in here is usually really nice and friendly. However, this is the second time that I've been served by a lady here (only female I've seen at front desk) who has rolled her eyes when I said that I didn't have a tracking number or inquired about a parcel.. Bad customer service from her and completely different to her friendly colleagues.
It looks like, that only people with negative experience posting it here... I have been living in town for 8 years and have never had any issues with delivery items or with staff! Banff post office is a fairly busy place so sometimes longer waiting time in queue is OK. Not sure what the other "one star" reviewer's exactly mean, but this post office is dependable place in my opinion with knowledgeable staff.
This is a very busy small tourist town post office so they cannot be faulted for how long we wait. The staff went over the top for me when three separate shipments got messed up as I had supplied the wrong postal code to my shipper. The packages got sent out to the wrong commercial client but then tracked them down and got them back for me. Great job guys and thank you so much. One happy customer.
Polite, efficient, bilingual service. A huge recycling box is even provided right by the doors for all those flyers they kindly fill the mail boxes with. Employees are really kind(always requesting to know ''how they can help'') regardless of the line-up length.
Staff are hit or miss with their knowledge, which is understandable with their turnover. Lines are consistently too long. Zero sense of urgency and apparently poor front of house management.
Sometimes the workers can be a little bit rude. Lazy work ethic.
This post office received my sons Christmas parcel on December 12th. It is still sitting there UNSCANNED and he is still without Christmas presents almost a whole month later on his first Christmas away from home. I mailed the parcel one month ago from Ontario and it only took 5 days to reach Calgary, was put on a truck in Calgary and is now in some back room Sitting on a shelf as someone cannot be bothered to do their job! I’m beyond upset! My son keeps getting the run around when he goes in. I see I’m not alone, other similar complaints! I know things are tough with Covid, but there is zero excuse for this. Get the packages scanned in so our kids can finally have their Christmas!!
Probably the worst post office in the whole country. The staff was arrogant and not helpful at all. I've never experienced something like that in the whole country, from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.
My package was returned and destroyed resulting in the loss of over $120. I specifically got my package ordered to my street address so I wouldn't have to deal with the post office and still they some how got a hold of it and returned it without checking my last name to see that I have a box number! They could have taken couple of extra minutes to check if I had a box number. Extremely unprofessional because this is about the fourth time this has happened to me as a lot of websites do not accept box numbers only street addresses. UNACCEPTABLE!
Slowest post office ive been to
The service was exceptional, and the gentlemen was a hottie. You should deff go there for a taco de ojo. Love it!
Trash service. Why my roommate already apply for 3 pobox for free and I need pay for rent?
Went to desk handed over a key to send to Ontario didn't seal envelope properly and lost the key. Offered no refund after a 1 week "investigstion" because it was my fault somehow.
nice location. clean and friendly staff
Always a line (at least a 20 minutes wait), and always behind sorting mail/packages (ie. order something from Amazon, and Amazon will say it's arrived, but it could be a week before there is a slip in your box too pick it up).
Helpful place to stop.
Great company!
Staff are Friendly, leave an Hour incase there is a huge line! Just needs some more space and staff to process everything. I have tried to collect a parcel from General many times but they never processed it. it got retuned to sender in the UK! But the parcel lived in banff 3 months before it got sent back home. angry
Worst service ever!! Even thou my adress was correct, they return the mail for no reason on the same day.!! I even went there in the morning, gave them tracking number and heads up that this package is important to me.... what a bunch of loosers!! Other time I was expecting a package.. it took 1 day from Okotoks to Calgary and extra 10 days for it to came from Calgary to Banff!!! Really poor service !
I always have a good experience at the Banff Post Office. Sometimes the queue is slow but from what I have witnessed it's usually because customers have questions, improper ID or issues with parcels. There are a lot of negative reviews here but I have been going here for 13 years with never a bad experience. Thanks for providing this service during a pandemic. ❤
Staff are good to deal with. I really wish they would get surveillance for inside as it’s open 24/7.
Wish I could give this place -5 stars. The absolute worst customer service in all of Banff. As a resident, it’s been nothing but a frustrating experience every time I walk into this place. They have lost my packages MULTIPLE times or can never find them & the staff talks back/is rude at the counter. For the last year I’ve lived here I have never once had a decent experience at this location.
Not to busy ..very friendly.. pets welcome
For me they are always lucky
Great professional staff, never had a bad experience
Express post is OK until it reaches here. Can take 2-3 days to scan a parcel that's sitting in the back area before you can take it, infuriating!
(Translated) The person who answered us was really friendly (Original) La personne qui nous as répondu à été vraiment sympathique
Don't expect good service or to be helped, that way you won't be disappointed.
If anyone deserves to have robots kick them out of the workforce, it's the Banff Post Office employees. Easily the worst place in Banff and unfortunately it's something that you must use. Staff are slow and not at all interested in hurrying up even when there's a long line. I would give a lower score if i could. 0/5
Brutal post office. Lay out is terrible, you can no longer grab your own envelopes or packaging stuff. Standing in line once to get the envelope and a second time after you fill it out. Not very efficient. Have never had this issue at any other Canada poste. One nice staff member. The rest are very very rude and not helpful at all.
The worst post office I have ever seen, non cooperative, they can send ur mail back but they won't give u that mail no matter how important it is. It happened to me and it happened to my Co worker as well. Pathetic
I don't understand all the bad reviews. So I am posting mine. I've been going here for nearly 5 years now and have always felt welcomed and the staff have been very helpful and friendly to me. I never had a bad experience here at all. Great service in my opinion and on several occasions, the staff have went above for me when I've had missing packages. Thank you for the work you do and having to put up with these ungrateful and impatient people posting on here...
Just as bad as I was expecting after reading the reviews
Worst post office. The staffs are impatient.
Someone from the Banff Post Office has been returning my mail this past few weeks. I have proof that the envelopes were properly addressed as was the package. The manager just brushed it off when I finally realized what was going on. This person clearly wrote on the letters that were returned “this is not her box and never has been”. Also the package was taken out of the package box and blatantly returned saying wrong box. This is so not like the post office I have used over the past 35 years and was very disappointed in the fact someone is doing this and the manager wanted to blame it on clerical error. Once maybe but 3 times NO! I I really wanted was for him to speak to this person and it be able to show him the proof but alas he just fluffed it off and quickly got off the phone. What can I do? He said to file a complaint with customer service and go through the process. Great! Thank you for nothing!!!
I lived in Banff for nine years and found the Banff PO staff without exception to be friendly, courteous, and professional.
Everyone there is HORRIBLE with the exception of a few people, who may I add are considerably younger than the crusty people I deal with every encounter I have. There has been many times I have been there/called and have had horrid, rude and unhelpful service. I feel like they are at work but they just show up for the pay and don't want to do any work.
I think people working there are nice and doing the best they can, considering how busy they are! Yes, sometimes you have to wait a bit longer, but it's a small town post, so it's quite understandable.
The woman there with glasses and an accent was so rude and unhelpful, I am actually shaking after our interaction. The guy was really nice, he could see what the woman wad doing and interjected and helped with the information I was after, the woman laughed in my face and tried to belittle me in front of a full post office. So unprofessional.
The young bloke that served us was extremely helpful in organising post of souvenirs and gifts to back home with expert knowledge and great sense of humour.. He managed to save me a fair amount of cash in the process.. Awesome customer service!! Thanks mate! ????????????????????????????????. ????????
Honestly I'm appalled by the attitude of the workers here. It's fine enough to inform someone about how a certain procedure works, but it's extremely unprofessional to scoff and roll your eyes while doing so. I'm not expecting amazing service, but I do expect not to be belittled when I approach the counter for assistance.
Minimum 20 minute wait to get anything done. They seriously need to hire more staff this post office is just too busy and the only one in town.
This place is horrible and I dread going in every time to pick up packages as EVERY SINGLE TIME I do it's no-where to be found, leaving me to walk back home 20 minutes to get the tracking number then walk back with the tracking number, BOOM, randomly my package decides to show up. Every. Single. Time. Couldn't get any worse than this.
Easy experience at the post office today
Ugh. That is all.
The middle age lady with glasses was terribly rude. She has to learn the attitude for working in social. I don’t want to ask her anything anymore. Terrible experience ever.
Please hire more people. Is really stupid every time need to wait for 30min.
Exceptionally poor service every single time, rediculously long waits, rude and unhelpful staff.
The Banff post office is the worst for parcel delivery. For some reason employees are unable to handle any volume. My tracking said a package had arrived but my daughter went twice and they didn't have it. I will never use our useless postal service again!
A horribly rude experience. Short middle aged woman with a thick accent refused to look for my package and scoffed at me when I went to leave. Impossible this person has a job. On the other hand a middle aged male employee was very nice to me last time I went in. But overall usually a horrible experience trying to get mail.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Worst customer service! 10 people in line and the clerk says that if your business isn't important to come back tomorrow because he is closing at 5pm which is half an hour before the post office is due to close.
Worst customer service ever!!! from the middle aged/elderly lady with short blond/grey hair. Can‘t complain about the others, they are always nice.
Nothing wrong with post office itself but the hours listed by Google are wrong, they close at 5 not 5:30..I found out the hard way.
Pretty certain that the staff just go out back for a chat rather than trying to find your parcel as on multiple occasions an employee has gone out back to check if my delivery had arrived only to come back and inform me that it hadn't. But yet after being told that there was nothing there, I have shown them the tracking number and shockingly 20 seconds later my parcel has shown up. The level of service provided in Banff is akin to the level of service you would expect in Mogadishu. Perhaps Canada Post could compensate their employees better, which in turn might just lead to them caring about their jobs and providing better service.
The older lady scheduled today needs an attitude adjustment. There is no need for you to wail your hands in the air and proclaim that, “by law you cannot check boxes” and that “you had just said that” as though I should have heard your last convo and basically why I’m such an idiot (through her tone not exactly in those words) for asking her to do this when "that area is open 24 hours for our convenience blah blah blah" and dismiss me quicker than I can say, “ok, thanks have a nice day.” Some of us are not trying to give you a difficult time, or beat the system, or take advantage of you, or break the law, or any other reason you assumed I was doing that displeased you so. Some of us just simply need your help because our husband took the key with them to Calgary and you need to pick up your drivers license and sincerely didn’t know that wasn’t a possibility. It is not necessary for you to be so unpleasant and to treat us like were some sort of criminal. You were so rude and despicable that your actions made me feel so awful I didn’t even get to purchase the stamps I needed to as well. I am ashamed that you work for the Canadian government and represent Canada to the people from all over the world and to us locals trying to pick up their mail. To the supervisor at this location: please conduct some further customer service training. I am aware now that it is not possible to open a box without a key, even though you have photo identification with that address and proof that you own the box. I want everyone else to know too so they don't experience the same harassment. It makes sense really and I would have accepted it just as easily had you only shown me some courtesy. I did not raise my voice to you, I was not exceeding you to do more, I wasn’t rude. I simple was a customer with a question and you totally chewed me out. You ruined my day. Are all Canada Post employees this awful? Is this why you are striking? Because you can’t even stand yourself? Sheesh
Last week I received a mailer (see photo) that said there will be extended holiday hours beginning today. Arrived with a a load of parcels at 5:30 pm TODAY everything was locked tight. Why place these in the mailbox if the hours are not extended? I don't want to give ANY starts but apparently you must give a star to post. This is not a REAL star zero starts given.
Rude and unhelpful staff
Never really had a bad experience here. It’s a post office, it is what it is. But oh my god. The older blond lady is something else. Doesn’t listen to what you’re saying and throws packages at you. Learn some customer service
Quite possibly the worst post office in the country. Supposedly Banff postal services have special exceptions because it being located in a national park. As a former employee of Canada post, national parks do not receive exceptions to change the route or policies on recieving or sending parcels. The people currently employed there clearly need more training or even better hire a whole new team who actually have a clue and aren't ignorant when it comes to dealing with customers. I have ordered a package expecting it to be here when I receive the confirmation email and it will sit in the back storage for days until they 'find' the time to input them into the system. That should never be a problem. When you are given a delivery date you expect the parcel to be shipped on time. Especially when it's a prescription or something with a large value. Basically what it comes down to is, if you are living in Banff and want to get something delivered to you, don't use Canada post, fed ex or ups will get your stuff faster and won't have to deal with someone treating you like an idiot. Calling is pointless. Emailing also pointless.
Everyone at the Banff Post office is polite, knowledgeable and always respects you and your mail and packages ! I do a little online ordering without fear that our Banff Posties will make every effort to make sure my package is given to me !
They’re always extremely rude and unhelpful
Curruption is filling the place. They wanted me to pay for renewing my PO Box just because I live in staff accomodation while many of my co-workers who live in the same place renewed it for free. It' the worst service ever.
I actually wish there was a 0 star. You have completely ruined Christmas . My daughter who lives in Banff is by herself without her Christmas gift because you have decided for the last 4 day to not put her parcel through which I’ve paid extra for expedited service. Her parcel has been there for 4 days. She went in to ask if there was any way they could look for it and was treated very ignorantly by the person working. Never using Canada Post again. Thank you for ruining Christmas for my daughter Scrooge. As long as you and your family have a good Christmas who cares about any one else!
There is one very nice staff and one exteremely rude staff at the post office. I got yelled at because I asked for a new form. She said I have wasted her time. She left her desk for 5-7 minutes and I had to wait for her to come back to get the new form. Who's wasting whose time?
Absolutely the worst post office around! Everyone in this office hates their job but won’t do anything to change their lives ! It’s pretty disappointing moving to a new town and the 5/6 times I’ve had to go in to the post office have been absolute horrible experiences! Unfortunately it’s the only one in town! :/ get a grip and quit if you’re so miserable!
The staff was so rude.
The issue with the Banff Post Office is not their staff. It is Canada Post itself. It is a union, Canada Post will not hire additional staff, and the new staff they have hired they can not retain (staff can not afford to live in Banff, or they find a better paying job). Canada Post also refuses to schedule overtime hours and pay their staff to cope with an ENORMOUS amount of mail and packages coming in (and continuously increasing). Be nice to the staff, we want them to stay, and continue doing their best in the bad work circumstance they have been dealt. Call Canada Post or go online and complain about issues via their Service Ticket option. Tell them they need to hire MORE STAFF - rather than ragging on the people we have working there. THANK YOU
(Translated) I had two parcels sent from Germany. I got an email from the German post office that my package is there. When I went to the post office I picked up the small of the two parcels and asked if it would be ok to pick up the other large parcel the next day. So far, everything is problem-free. The next day at the post office, I am told my other package is not there, although someone saw it yesterday. I explained my situation, after which I was told again that my package was not there. Since I knew that it was already there, I protested so that the employee (a little older, half-bald) would even check whether my package was there. That was not the case before! After he looked and was convinced that the package wasn't there, he said I should come back after the weekend. Insolent behavior of the employee. When I came back two days later, the employee recognized me immediately and talked badly about me loudly. A very nice woman then handed me my package. When asked how long the package had been on the post in Banff, she said 1 1/2 weeks. In any case, the package was already there on my first visit. Incredibly bad service and extremely rude staff (partly).
Literally the worst service ever. Lazy employees that have no inclination to help anyone. Would rate 0 stars if possible
Etremley rude lady who works behind the desk horible customer service
Ils n'offrent pas un service bilingue ici cette un blague comment les employés pense c'est pas discrimination d'être de même.... Leurs employées mettre un barrière du service pour les citoyens et citoyennes Franco dans le région.... Puis quand j'ai demandé pour quoi "your in Alberta learn English" I've spoken English for 28 years... I know how to do it. The point is that every Canadian should be offered this Federal service on the language of their preference... Otherwise their is a barrier to onepopulation or the other. Don't claim to be a bilingual service... And then hire unilingual employees.... Absolutely a joke how they consider Canadians rights here..
