Extremely bad experience with this bank. My debit card is not activated after 25 days of account opening. I also visited again to activate debit card but still it is not activated. Really it is my worst experience in canada.
I completely agree with Sharbani Roy. I had also visited the Mississauga Branch for activating my Hello Canada Account. Yes staff is very pleasant, polite, professional and well-spoken. Infact, I was there 'At the Eleventh Hour' but still Mr. Sahil Aggarwal, Financial Service Officer, served me and helped me in all my concerns. I am really thankful to him and the bank for making me as comfortable as I was in my home country INDIA. Thanks once again ICICI Bank for everything you have done for me from INDIA to CANADA.

I simply want to login to my online bank. Why do I need to make 50 phone calls and to wait 7 business days before doing so. Resetting a password is a headache with ICICI so be careful what you input while you activate your student account. Also terrible UI/UX all across their sites and mobile apps.

you take 1 week to give a debit card for GIC students, how do u expect students to live if they don't know any one. if it takes 1 week for debit card, how may weeks u need for credit card. If u don't have enough resources to serve students who r coming to Canada don't take the GIC CONTRACT.

6 months back I visited their office for help on my home loan back in India. The employee was not sure on how to proceed because my case itself was very unique. But he was quick to discuss this with his manager and address the issue. I liked the approach as both manager and employee came to me and discussed my case and they did the needful without diverting me to do something else and fortunately their efforts did the trick for me. Keep the good work.

Worst customer service. Agents are not experienced. Customer service rep. have strong Indian English accent. They speak too fast and hard to clearly understand. I suggest they should be trained to speak slowly and clearly. When I came to Canada in 1970, my first employer told me to speak slowly and clearly with my Indian/English and I learned that way.
I visited today and the team was so helpful and polite. I will recommend my family and friends to visit.
Someone please remind them to take the phone calls cuz we’re tired of getting hung up without getting our queries resolved. I just needed to pay a CC bill and I couldn’t figure about making an appointment without going all the way to the branch just cuz they never take the calls. Their customer service is pretty awful. They never answer the phone. I've tried calling them twice and after five minutes they've not picked up the phone. The best way to communicate is by sending a message but it can take days to get a response. The staff are not that knowledgeable. I made a fairly simple request to close an account, but after 17 days it has not been done yet. We're still in discussions: they've confused my two accounts with each other. I've had conflicting information from two different members of staff. It is now two years since I wrote the above paragraph and unfortunately I am still with this bank, so I'm updating my previous review. I just want to close my account and transfer my money elsewhere but even that is proving difficult. I'm now having problems simply logging into my online account and it has taken them a month to resolve the issue. I have made at least five phone calls and I have two service requests in with them to get this resolved. Each phone call to them is painful: I have to wait at least a minute for some annoying welcome message to finish before I can do anything, then finally when I do speak to someone they ask me the same old bunch of 5-6 security questions, then eventually when I explain the issue to them, they try to dismiss me as soon as possible without doing anything to resolve the issue. It is incredibly painful. I am considering sueing this bank for negligence. I want to make sure no one else has my experience. If you are not a customer with them, then under no circumstances should you open an account or have anything to do with them. Hopefully all these bad reviews will help to convince you of that. All dealings with them are like going to the dentist to have a root canal with no anasthetic.

I called them today and i stuck while speaking one of the punjabi lady made fun of me and said with a laugh that "punjabi vich bol lawo" is this a good manner to talk to your customers????. Was she right?????. I dont know who gave her this position she has no manner and she needs some more education and training. And i have also applied for a credit card and its my 1 month i havnt recvd that. When i call main icici office they said we havnt recvd any request for credit card on your account. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! When I call them for any kind of information, they don't know how to communicate with their customers and speak to them rudely. Even the online banking app is broken, and when I asked questions, they become irritated. This is the worst bank to establish an account with. I would give them 0 if it was an option, poor customer service. They do not listen to the customer, and rush you even when their is no one in line. They seem to be disorganized with their work, as when I walked in they had client paperwork everywhere and were talking among each other not even acknowledging me being there. They need to have better patience, and wait for the customers to ask them a question before they jump into conclusions. Also, for some inquiries they need to take customers into a room so they can explain their products in full detail. Many students come from India with ICICI bank as their means of getting their GIC money, and ICICI never gives them a welcome package, or sits them down to explain banking in Canada. It is different, there are many things that the students need to know. In conclusion choose a different institution there are many others. This location was not accommodating, nor professional nor did they have good customer service. I am glad I assisted my niece, whom had gone their 3 times prior but the lack of professionalism had her questions unresolved, and her banking needs were not met.
I wish there could be a black star for this bank, no one takes responsibility of mistakes by employee. Not even Ombudsman or Chanda Kochhar. All miss selling and miss guidance endup with no solution.

ICICI has one of the worst customer service I have seen in Canadian Banks. I have had an account with ICICI for around 10 years now and the only reason I have kept the account is the comparitively easy way to transfer money to my parent's account in India.

Worst service ever, Just Time wasting. I went to convert for NRO account, I had all documents then CSR said I have to wait for 2 hours. I said OK. Then literally 45 min after, CSR told they can't do today I asked the reason and they said we're too busy. (There were only 4 customer including me during that whole 1 hour .) They just kept inquiring about if I brought all documents or not so that they can reject me directly (Unfortunately I had all documents still kept me waiting and said NO at the end.)

This is a worst bank you wanna have your account into. Very Poor service, remote locations, and very few locations which serve all over Canada. I had to travel all the way to Missisuaga from Niagara Falls in Snow storm to get my account set up. Specially students, do not open a account in this banks in Canada, your agents might ask you to do so since the charges are $5 less than all other banks. Believe me you dont wanna save this 5$ in you GIC investments.
Slow service. Had to wait 25 min to get info that took 2 minutes. The layout is not good as when you walk in you are right at the service counter and it gets crowded fast. The clerks were friendly though.

This is review is not just for ICICI Bank Mississauga but for ICICI Bank CANADA. If it was possible for me to give zero stars this bank I would have gone for that or rather five BLACK STARS. The reason being the issues I had to face to activate my GIC account in ICICI bank through CANADA POST option. Initially an INTERNATIONAL STUDENT receives an amount 2000 CAD that the student has invested in their chequing account and can use that amount to avoid facing any financial troubles. But the banking services and process with this bank are so sluggish that it took me 15 days to activate my GIC account and every time I made call the customer care representative would ask me to give 1-2 business days to look into the matter. They made me regret investing my money in the ICICI Bank GIC account. For 15 days I didn't receive my 2000 CAD and in the end I was not able to pay my rent all thanks to ICICI bank and their partners STERLING and I was about to lose my place where I was going to stay. Luckily I had a cousin who helped me out with the whole money issue otherwise I would have lost my place. I would request all International students to go for SCOTIA CIBC SBI RBC whichever bank they want but not ICICI Bank. I had the worst banking experience with these people. Moreover the customer care representatives don't know how to address the issue. I pitched the same issue two different customer care representatives and got two different answers while one of them told me to drop a mail to customer care the other one told me that it will take 1-2 business days. Furthermore the ruckus initiated from India itself when I didn't receive my DEBIT CARD linked to the account and they told me that I had to visit the bank to get it while my college and my rented place is nowhere near to ICICI Bank. This review is 100% genuine. If you have a doubt please go ahead try it out yourself.

Too laid back attitude of the staff. We submitted an application to convert our savings account to NRE/NRO. No communication came from them for over a month. We called them after 1.5 months only to know that they couldn't submit the application as the customer Id is missing. No calls ever came from them to get the id. I won't go back again.
So I received a visa in the mail after purchasing furniture and deciding to go with the in house financing after a month i attempted to pay off the loan with no luck bank teller unable to help calling the phone service is even worse multiple calls cut short with nothing resolved even after multiple days of attempts on his what the hell are these poeple doing not sure but it's not banking id stay away save yourself the trouble

This guys are not qualified to be bank employees. We spent 5 hours to activate my brother's GIC student account and then the so called manager done the process for all the students together. How can you activate all the accounts together?? Uo know what.. the accounts is still not activated after 7 "business" days. and 24*7 hours customer service is funny enough. I won't recommend going this ICICI Bank. better go to Brampton branch.

I usually do not write a reviews unless it really mean to me. This is worst bank that you can open your student GIC or any other account. If you are coming from India do not open your GIC account with the always prefer Scotia bank over it. Secondly, their app doesn’t work properly, it’s under maintenance most of the time. Even though you will log in using email and password it will say in just some second your current session has expired. Thirdly, they have worst customer services. They will not reply you email and if you try to connect via phone, the representative do not know how to talk. They are very rude and will not convey massage in proper manner. Sometime it seems like they attend calls while they are driving. Some of the representatives are not willing to talk and listen, they will just say our system is under maintenance call us in few time. It is going to be more than a week I am trying to contact them. They have similar issue all the time. I wish I could have some good experience to share, but I do not even want to give them a single star. I hope this comment will help others to make wise choices while choosing their bank.

Terrible experience with their online system and customer service. I'm not sure why they are even allowed to work in Canada like this. Their customer service representatives are confused and don't know how to address the inquiries. Their online system forgets you if you don't login regularly and they have to send you new password which won't work most of the time and you are stuck in a vicious cycle of calling and getting new password. Their customer service representatives take long time to find the answer and the line drops most of the time.
Excellent service provided by the staff of ICICI Bank, Delta, BC. I needed something to do very urgent. Branch In charge was very helpful in giving me urgent appointment and the dealing staff was very efficient. I had very limited time on my Break. Here the staff is good and you don't have to wait for anything but my application stuck at one time and it took me more than 30 minutes, of delay otherwise all things went smoothly everybody there is very help full and gives you proper info about the question you asked for and if they don't know the answer they just simply contact there, supervisors and Clarify the answer. To reach the place there is no problem the transit take you just in front of the bank you just have to see the name of the bank. Just one thing is that that the location of the bank is far if this is not the reason then I should have provided them with 5 stars. And in front of the bank, all the big shops are there if you have the necessity and the time then you can shop for anything from there the main issue with the bank is the timing it only opens till 4 pm and if someone has to come from the far place it is really hustle for them to reach there.

What an amazing branch it is. Waited about 30mins to withdraw money. There were three counters but still for some reason other counters were closed even though people were sitting there. What a nice experience it was. ICICI giving top notch customer service.

If there was a option to give zero I would have given that. My husband wanted some financial advise for his account in icici bank and visited branch few weeks back. They have a financial advisor named Stuti who will give you such pathetic advice and try to trick you in schemes and offers just for her and bank's benefit. Just because of some employees I see the bank is suffering.Never going back to her for any advice. Back in india the employees were genuinely helping their clients.

I visit today this bank to withdraw the money at 2:40 pm a lady wear light pink top with black mask was so rude toward me she didn’t say hi whenever she asked me any questions her way of asking is very rude and When she give money to me she js put it on the counter instead of putting it in to envelope. Pathetic Services. I opened the Canada account in this branch couple of months back and never received a single communication (no Emails, no physical mails) regarding debit card/Online access/Welcome kit, etc. For everything, you need to call their customer services and place a request.

Never deal with this bank closed all my accounts with them, the branch is run by non professionals I asked one teller what is her qualification she said she is only grade 12 pass out. can u believe in bank u have amateur kids doing ur confidential transactions. Want to meet the branch manager but he was never seen in the branch I think he spend lots of time at home instead of working at bank. This branch really sucks and running on its own without any supervision and professional staff. for 1 transaction u have to wait for ages.

The worst experience I had with this bank. The most difficult thing is that there is only one location of this bank in Delta. Also, the staff during phone call is very rude to me. I never never recommend this bank to any international student for their GIC. I changed my account from this bank to Scotiabank.

This is the worst bank i have ever seen in Canada in terms of accessibility and customer service. Unfortunately there was no body to guide me to not to use this bank. I have had worst experience with customer service talking to me so rudely and was not at all happy to help me. I would never recommend any one to use icici bank services.

When I decided to write this review and came over to this website, I wasn’t surprised to find so many negative reviews. It just confirmed my feeling that this branch was pathetic and fleecing customers. They will only try to sell you their Canadian savings bank account in which the minimum balance has to be maintained of approx 3000 CAD. They do not care about your purpose of opening the account. Indeed, for the purpose of our transaction, Canadian account wasn’t even needed, is what we realized later. They would not explain anything to you and I wonder if the people working here themselves know how things happen. We were promised fast transfer (within one day) between India and Canada citing that ICICI bank Canada is the same as ICICI bank India. But after the account was opened, they conveniently changed their tune, feigned ignorance, and said they have no way to contact ICICI bank in India, except through emails and that they work separately and that there is no connection to the Indian bank. This, after we had waited for more than three weeks for money transfer (remember they had promised one day before opening the account) which is still to occur. The manager was being manager- she brushed the pathetic service under the carpet, pushed the blame on the Indian side, and said it was “courtesy” that they were following up with the Indian side and they were not obliged to. I believe a manager is supposed to improve processes and performance. But here you have an unimpressive leader who leads a pack of clowns. No wonder their services are so pathetic. BEWARE of this branch and it’s people. They have the same mentality as those of the bankers on the Indian side.

Hi, i am an international student and i deposited my cheque from my work and its been 2 months today and they have not deposited it to my account... i call them almost everyday and they never pick it up.... i don’t drive and i took bus almost 5 times to bank and it takes me an hour to reach... they wasted my time every time. The Worst Branch of ICICI just two days back my husband and my aged father in law visited the branch, one arrogant staff made them wait for sometime and then came out asked with utmost rudeness "what do you want" my father in law has an account with this bank in India, so just wanted to ask him about 500-1000 rupees, that so called useless officer could have listened to the question fully and then answered politely, but without listening to them he mentioned "please go from here" we dont know anything. Is this way you respond to your customers in Bank. Please ICICI Bank watch out about your employees behaviour other wise your bank acronym will stand for "Incorrigible-Chaotic-Irresponsible-Careless-Irritating (do you still want me to complete it with Bank" because I would never call a Branch of a financial institution which has these characteristics, just like one Bad fish, spoils the entire Lake, similarly one employee like this will spoil your name. One of the worst banks ever. Google , does not have negative in the review, otherwise ICRAPP BANK would have scored - 5 stars for sure. The voice mails are never answered. I tried right from the manager to what ever 5 options were available. Finally, went to the bank in person to hear that we do try to call every one in about 48 hours , how ever there is no guarantee for the call back The so called 24/7 customer stress service , each customer rep. has their own set of answers. Its unfortunate that I had to deal with this bank to help my family stuck in India. Avoid this bank like a plague. Well definitely not the bank you'd like to get associated with. Lazy unprofessional people, eternally slow systems, bad attitude of the tellers and a bunch of punjabi speaking people (right from the branch manager to his deputy) who would talk in Punjabi in front of clients and wont even care if that is acceptable. I was there last week for a bank draft and it costed me $7.5 and 1 hour of my time. I agree with Mr Anil Kamal.. things have changed since Shagnik left... when preparing account statement for study permit extension, resolving dispute with credit card and a bank draft took less than 15 minutes of time. Its unfortunate for the customers that he no longer works there- both in terms of efficiency and charm :) Suggestion - PLEASE HIRE QUALITY PEOPLE OR SHUT SHOP

Improve your phone service and it do not connect the 24 hrs line. If just the beginning is like this what to expect in person. We are in Toronto you guys are even worst then current Indian branches. DO NOT get a mortgage from this bank. They can't do math or read properly. They screwed up our property tax and now we have to pay interest for their own mistake. Customer service is horrible and they won't accommodate you in anyway. We requested a payout of our mortgage and in bold letters the payout said please do not freeze account this is for information purposes only.... What do they do freeze our account and then point fingers at us we are in the wrong customer is never right.....

I just transferred money from India. The entire process from request, remittance and preparation of Drafts was so smooth and professional. Took about a week and I was very impressed with everything. Their customer care was beyond my expectations. They really take good care of their customers. I was dealing with the Financial Officer Joy Sharma and I do not remember the name of the teller(lady) who helped me with the drafts.

Worst bank Service in Canada..I'm a student from Fleming college..My consultancy pushed me to open my GIC in ICICI and they told me that you can get good benefits and all..Because of them i opened my GIC account in this bank..After i reached Canada i realized this is not a good bank for Students.Even people who are working at the bank they didn't have the option Visa card.And E-Interact Money transfer they charging 1.5 dollars and so many drawbacks.That all facilities are free in Scotia bank.While ICICI Customer service is not at all good.Waste of time and money to open a bank account in this worst bank called ICICI Bank.Always getting money from students which are given free service charge from the Scotia, But ICICI bank is only for getting money from the students and wants to become rich. Now I have to visit the branch again as phone number on the website just gives a list of options to connect to customer care and to know working ours etc. This is a just another great way to keep clients out. you cant even mail them as there is no email ID provided...
Very slow. 3 employees, 1 customer? Average wait will still be 10-15min. Take a number even if you are the ONLY customer. Deposited thousands of dollars in cash, please accept a hand written receipt, there are not printed receipts here so hope there are no errors. Not very reassuring. Lastly, prudent Indian manager discriminates against young people and Canadians. Would not let me deposit money when I was waiting on new driver's licence despite having: health card, sin card, credit cards, etc. every other piece of ID plus my expired license and renewal slip. Something tells me if I were a bit older or didn't wear a baseball cap I wouldn't have had so much trouble.
Great service by the bank especially by Mr. Kamalpreet Singh. He guided me really well in the entire process of moving my funds from India to Canada thru NRE/NRO channel. Once again my sincere thanks to Mr. Kamal!
Poor services also most of the time online banking app doesn't work.... There is only one branch of this bank so students have to face a lot of difficulties,specially for newcomers.... Also there is no feature of tap and swipe of the credit card.... Strongly suggest to new students don't take this bank for their Gic account
I would recommend this location, the staff is so friendly as well as the place is environment friendly . Mr Kamalpreet singh really helped me in setting up my NRI account. Highly professional in skills and knowledge. Thankyou so much for the help and making my life much easier in terms of finances.

No wash room at bank for coustmore is there employee don't use washroom during work hours :(:( there service is too slow as inadian bank

Called and asked to cancel my credit card account a couple months ago and then just got a statement in the mail with a $49 charge. Called again and asked to cancel my account again and the man said in order for me to cancel the credit card account I have to pay this years annual fee? I asked kindly if he could waive the fee since I have never used the card in the year that I’ve had it and he wouldn’t do it. Man on the phone was very rude, when I asked to speak to manager he said there wasn’t one available? Overall terrible customer service.
I had some paperwork which went really smooth . Its a good bank where u can have an account at and tbh service was exceptional .

Worst Bank , i ever seen , initially i got Commitment letter from them for Mortgage approval , but end of day , they have cancelled my commitment, for No Reason . Go with Core CANADIAN banks are Good.( CIBC ,RBC,TD,etc) My only Advise dont Bank with this ICICI , i will recommend to all our Indo-Canadian friends and to rest of all Canadians friends dont go with them.
Hi I visited the branch and they have excellent service and all the employees are very friendly.
Not too sure of what benefits one would get by having accounts at ICICI. Very few physical locations, inconvenient opening hours, charges for using interac services, ATM limitations and the list goes on...
