I saw Amico from BlogTo's post. Loved how they had a pistachio tiramisu cake so I placed an order a week before pick up for my sisters birthday. My fiancé went to pick up the cake around 5:21pm & I received the Pistachio Tiramisu cake and it looks NOTHING like the cake on the BlogTo AND nothing like the cake on their own website!! No cream anywhere. 1000% disappointed if I knew it would look nothing like. those pictures I would've ordered elsewhere. I posted pictures of the same cake. The first is from BlogTo, the second picture is from their own website and the third picture is what I received.

One spontaneous morning led me to this unexpected destination and glad the universe chose this bakery over others because it has definitely won me over as their loyal customer! The moment you walk into this establishment, you can feel the old school Italian vibe with modern touch to the aesthetics but most importantly the warm welcome you get from the staff is definitely the highlight of my experience. The ambiance and energy is enough to lift your moods, surrounded with authenticity and originality. Gelato and pastries are top quality, I can’t specifically recommend one item as all options on their menu is as good as the next. I can ramble on but you guys got the point. Go check it out! :)

I don't see how this bakery got rated 4.8 stars. My family and I were very excited to try the food from here because the website seemed to show very good and high quality products but we were extremely disappointed after our visit. The pizzette were VERY stale and gave us all stomach aches, the square pizza slices were undercooked and doughy and the rice ball was subpar. We expected so much more, especially for paying $18 including tax. For what we paid, we could have gotten a nice, fresh pizza from ANOTHER place with MUCH better quality. Their products are all overpriced too. I would steer clear of this place if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for subpar quality. I found we were also rushed through making our decisions despite the bakery not being busy.

The new location now facing Dufferin Street offers a wider range of prepared foods. The lobster tail with lemon cream, like from Positano, is to die for. The Pastiera's ricotta filling had the perfect sweetness and the hint of citrus was right on. The crust was flaky and buttery. Can't wait to taste the lasagna, eggplant involtinit, etc..keep up the good work. Bravo!!!

I’ve gone to this bakery since it opened. I always liked it. Recently every time I go in I notice there are some staff members not wearing masks properly or not at all!!!!???? One staff member kept touching her mask and helping clients and others pulled masks down to talk to each other. I no longer feel comfortable going into this bakery. I hope they can review their safety mask protocols and ensure their staff follow these protocols.

Not sure if they changed the chef or what. They had fantastic limincello cakes here. Picked 1 up Christmas Eve. Didn't even resemble their previous cakes. No meringue. Just way too much flavorless cream icing. I had to scrap it off. The cake itself was moist but had a terrible bitter after tase. Too bad. Won't be coming back here.

I was so happy that finally they have gelato. I bought recently and portion for almost 10$ cone was so small....I was given two small flavors....next time I came again and was given even smaller portion than on the first time. This is nuts how greedy owners are....for 10$ waffle cone and almost no ice-cream is definitely not worth to go there. Finally some products have labels n prices. Someone complained here about prices of the tarts. It happen to me too. I was told different price but in the cash they added much more like more or less almost 10$ i said i don't want to take it anymore. I always come to buy only bread for now. I tried to bun with rapini....throw it .... not eatable.

This place is a travesty of an establishment. Do not have any expectations or standards. Do not waste your time or bus fare or gas or foot energy to visit. Not authentic, not of high quality. Very deceiving as you would expect something heavenly from the markeup. You go in and expect it to be of upmost excellence but it's a front. The Zeppole filling reminded me of boxed Jell-O Vanilla Lemon pudding... Its cherry was so artificial that it reminded me of cough syrup reminiscent of Dimetapp... and its pastry was very "eggy". Their Baba was "eggy" was soggy and stale, trying to be some kind of sweet bread clearly devoid of personality. I feel like I truly wasted my money. I would have rather not stepped foot in here at all. Save your money & all hopes of any standards or quality. I assume all the money is used towards the aesthetics of this establishment as they certainly forgot their measuring cups. Maybe next time I can drop some off from Ikea? They can definitely benefit from some genuine baking classes/courses or genuine Italian recipes. I have yet to try the small sized raspberry crostata that I have purchased to utter and deep regrets. I am truthfully disappointed in advance of tasting it. Wish me luck. Such an extreme disappointment to any authentic Italian roots. If East Side Mario made pastries, then maybe they would have a chance as a palatable business. To reference Donnie Brasco : "This place is a fugazi!" (Really though). I wanted to give this place a negative rating but unfortunately I couldn't because Google would not allow me. I was forced to give a star just like I was forced to finish their pastries. Ey Badaboom Bada No Amico! Amico is no friend of mine.

My second time trying to buy a cake from them and both times this has been the problem. I have been told the Cake is $29.99 at the time when I asked about the prices and I asked 2-3 times if it was $29.99 and she confirmed it and at the cash that has changed to $39.99. Dear Amico bakery, please put price tags right beside the cakes to avoid any confusion.

Seriously what is wrong with me? I have known about this neighbourhood bakery for a few years now but only came in today to try it. This place is great! It's a small space that produces little bites of heaven. No really, it feels like I am sitting in a cafe in Italy. The smells and tastes of a favourite and familiar place. In one sitting I have had the Margherita pizza, mini canolli and a cup of cappuccino. I am nowhere near done here. This will be a year-long project of eating my way through the menu! If you're reading this, go now!

Amico Bakery is first rate with their desserts. We have enjoyed them many times by ourselves or when our children drop by with their families. You just have to learn to ignore the calories when you go here. You can stop in for a quick lunch on the go from their selection of hot foods or take something home from their freezers. Right now they can sell you a cup or cone of Gelato which today hit the spot with almost 40 degrees outside. The only failing is they are too far south for me to go there on a regular basis but it helps my wife with her diet. I wish they had a satellite location in Thornhill or North York even if it just sold things from the main outlet. If you want a first rate dessert for your family or guests this is a great place to go and if it is lunchtime you can have a very satisfying variety of foods to choose from. They are just south of Lawrence Avenue West on Dufferin Street on the east side. If enough people write in maybe they will open a location further north.

But lately every time I order pizza from here they have been messed up my order including the pizza crust was really burn and they did Not included all the toppings that said on menus. Everything is delicious here, the fresh made sandwiches & pizza, huge selection of pastries (particularly the aragosta, you have to try one) and even the pre-prepared lasagna is amazing. You're missing out if you don't go here.

I bought a Cioccolato cake here yesterday for my daughter’s birthday. I gave her a selection of almost any bakery in Toronto and it was what she chose. She’s a very accomplished baker and I knew she would be choosy and might not like it. I didn’t know Amico Bakery and was pleasantly surprised by how pretty it was and how delicious everything looked. She looked at the cake as soon as I brought it home and was clearly pleased.We all thought it was delicious too. Lots of cream chantilly and not overly sweet. Also, they didn’t use any gelatin which is a big plus for me (we would not have ordered it if it had gelatin). It also was well-priced which I appreciated. I also brought home croissants which were delicious I will happily return and would highly recommend this bakery.

The staff was very friendly and patient as we were not sure what to order, everything looked delicious! The spicy Italian was great and much bigger then expected! Found a great new bakery for fresh bread loaves, near me. Went on Valentine's Day near closing time (Sunday around 4PM ish) and the loaf we bought was still warm. Also got a strawberry sponge cake and the niece and nephew loved it.

I started ordering cakes for special days since i got my nice birthday cake from here. It’s sad, i always feel there is a lack of communication between me and workers. I pre-ordered a cake for Father’s Day on June 1st. I showed the one of workers a picture of a cake in person and made a reservation. The picture was on their website. (I found a similar pic on their IG) I went there to pick it up today and the cake looked totally different. They said they changed the design since the Mother’s Day. I placed the order after the day. The picture was still on their website. No one told me the website was wrong, or they redesigned the cake. I got a cake that i didn’t expect and feel bad it ruined my plan. I waited for the cake for 19days for Father’s day. If they had told me the cake would look different, i would have not ordered that cake. I know they are busy, but hope they offer the complete information. Thank you for hard work though.
