Like a well kept secret. It's quiet, and fun for the kids. And enough to keep the adults entertained. And fed.
Really tasty muffins and sandwiches
Great place with wonderfull people that run it! Very highly revommended!
This place is awesome. Very friendly staff and owners. We were invited for a birthday party. Food prices are a little high but they are there to make a $.
Great baked goods & jams - nice little stop on your trip.
Nice bakery. Good choices of pies and tarts. There is also food here to enjoy. Got a coconut cream pie that was too good.
Drive past this place all the time, but never while it was actually open. Thankfully I found myself out that way today, during business hours! The environment was cozy and there was so much to look at while shopping! So many different kinds of goodies from baked treats to preserves! We made out with two pies, a cinnamon twist, meringue twists, and a loaf of apple pie bread for an amazing price! And the best part? It was all so delicious!! I can't recommend this bakery enough ❤️
An awesome place for family fun. Can't recommend enough.
Great Place too bad they are shutting down the adventure Farm
Very friendly people that work there. I love bringing my dog there. The owners are pet friendly which is a giant Plus in my books. The Bakery is delicious. People drive a long way for butter tarts and pies.
My boyfriend, my dog, Jax and I had a great time exploring the Corn Maze on a Saturday. We went later on in the day, at about 2:30pm. We wanted to explore more of the Farm and do other activities, but we spent about 2 hrs in the maze. My dog had a blast! We took a ton of pictures. We will definitely be back to explore the other activities later on this month. The people there were very friendly too. We also checked out the market, there were a lot to choose from. We bought a decent sized pumpkin for a reasonable price too. Can't wait to go back! I highly recommend for families and couples.
Kids loved it
great place for the kids
Awesome place, went there with a group of friends and the owner showed us around and let us hold baby goats, will definitely be going again to see the place.
Friendly and welcoming staff, lots to look at play with and discover, amazing bakery and cafe. We enjoyed the wagon ride the best but the pig race was hilarious and fun. Loved feeding the goats too! Great place to spend the day.
Had a blast with my fiancé and our two friends. We arrived expecting to just walk around and check everything out, but the owner came and hung out with us and talked to us about his different animals and his old farm! He is one of the nicest people I’ve met, you can tell he cares so much about his business and the people that come experience the farm. We will definitely be back!
Very friendly people. Lots for children to do and see. A great afternoon for the family!
I thought the hefty admission fee of $40 for two adults and a three year old was pretty steep for what they had to offer, but that's not the reason for my negative review. I am writing this review because of the actions of an employee at the farm, she definitely made a really bad impression on not only myself, but for others who saw what she did. For the record, I would just like to say that I am not some crazy animal activist who thinks everyone is hurting animals. I also don't pretend like I don't know where meat comes from. So, it was the last pig race of the day, and they were bringing the pigs out. This young female employee was assisting a man in corralling them into their spots. The man was using a big plastic shield, while this girl was hitting and kicking the pigs, I don't mean just pushing them around, she was full out booting them with her steel toe boots and being extremely unnecessarily aggressive with them. I am sure pigs are stubborn, but there's no need to beat the holy hell out of them! It was so awkward when people in the audience started looking around at each other in disbelief as to what they were seeing. The worst part was the kids noticed too. When the race was done, they brought the pigs back into the petting zoo area where some kids confronted this employee, telling her she shouldn't hit the animals and that it was animal abuse what she was doing. Her response? Walk away rolling her eyes saying "Who cares, they're just pigs". These poor kids looked like they were about to cry, it was horrible. I was absolutely shocked and disgusted by this young lady's piss poor attitude, and I won't be back ever.
Great food, great baked goods fun place for the kids
Fantastic! Tons for kids to do and our little one didn't want to leave! Especially enjoyed the pig race and tractor ride.
Love the food and love the a+ treatment of the kids
Excellent place to bring the family. All of the staff are friendly and ready to answer any questions you have. The tour around the farm on the wagon ride was spectacular. The driver is full of very interesting facts and stops periodically and gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy the animals and the beautiful atmosphere of the very well kept and obviously very well loved by the owners. This place has season passes. One visit there and you will want them. Also remember to say hello to the wonderful dog who is the resident greeter. So friendly and soft. She'll win your heart for sure. Enjoy youselves, I sure did.
This is a good place to take the kids. A big corn maze in the shape of Canada.
Best apple pie and great variety of baked goods.
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about there area
It was a wonderful experience:) my two little kids enjoyed themselves:) thank you
Great for a little journey, a little on the $$$ side
Enjoyed our time walking the property, played a round of minigolf, and we really enjoyed the butter tarts we brought home! Great place to find your pumpkin next fall, with excellent activities for the kids also!
Great place for the kids to go lots to do. We went on the hay ride and it was very interesting. They stopped it for a guided trail walk and to feed the animals. Once back we watched pig races with some very well looked after pigs . The corn maze was huge and you could spend a few hours walking it's with the family it was very inexpensive....... but the store will get your money because it was jam packed with great food and snacks.
Bakery goods are amazing! All the food is good, eat in or take it home.
Drove here today with my littlest brother first time here and we had a blast! I can't believe how friendly and helpful the service was and the food is absolutely delicious
Fun for the kids.
Really nice place. Has a great atmosphere for kids to play in. Love the tractor ride with the little cars.
Love this place! Very dangerous baked goods. Beware dieters. Delicious food assortment and fun fun place for kids. Super friendly staff!
We stopped here on a particularly cold day the weekend before the the high season, so it was pretty slow and we didn't get to experience the outdoor activities. However, we were very pleased with the shop. It's very clean inside and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. The treats are delicious! Don, the owner greeted us and chatted a while. He's a great guy! We can't wait to come back and try the other fun things to do.
So much fun for the whole family!
Nice place to visit. Great farming museum.
Amazing wish they were open more often
We love coming here . We just moved to the area and were looking for fresh breads and baked goods . We recently bought the porch package for Halloween, it was a great value for everything we received . All the staff is very friendly/helpful Everything we’ve tried so far has been super Delicious. Gotta try the garlic/ cheddar biscuits , butter tarts and the fresh bread . We can’t wait to come back & try more of the food here.
Farmer Budd was so wonderful! My boyfriend and I got there 15 minutes before the corn maze closed (it closes at 5 but the store closes at 6) and he purposely kept it open just for us so that we could go in because we told him how much we looked forward to it and because we drove for 45 minutes to get there. Absolutely amazing service (and the pies amazing too!)
Incredible food
Kids had a great time. Lots of activities and the kids were able to run free. The wagon ride was my favorite as it incorporated a walking trail through the forest. The kids had fun trying to find all the fairy houses. You are able to pet and feed all the animals. Mini golf course is a little rough but that just made it more fun. The corn maze is great and a nice finish to the activities. We had lunch in the cafe and everyone enjoyed the food. It was a bonus that everything is locally grown and made fresh. Free samples throughout the cafe were good. Bought some treats for the ride home. We spent most of the day there and we were not bored. If you know how to relax and just let your kids lead the way, you will have a great day.
Great place for kids.
Wonderful,
Fabulous Bakery items including fresh breads, and homemade creations like scarfs, coasters, trivets, and other beautiful items but only open on Saturdays!
Honestly the greatest place to bring kids of any age, we went with my cousin and her 2 1/2 year old daughter and had the best time! There is an older gentleman, with a cowboy like hat, who let us go down the slide before leaving and it meant a lot, especially because they were closed and we were the last people there, also, the cafe in there is amazing and 100 % recommend getting the vegetarian curry pot pie, I was a little skeptical at first, but we ended up buying a full pie afterwards, because it was so delicious!!! 10/10 recommend
Great place for the kids to enjoy fun outside, delicious food, animals and even a little mini golf. There is a quaint shop with local goods for sale, ice cream and menu for a nice lunch. The kids loved the John deer pedal tractors, slides, hay bale climber, feeding the animals and the sledge hammer game. There is a lil tractor ride and an adorable duck race with old school water pumps. The place is really green and I was able to pick up some lovely reusable products, facial wipes, cloth towels, fabric wrap for my house! Activities for all ages and it wasn't super packed which was really nice. Only four stars because the mini golf really needs to be redone but you don't pay any extra for it. Over all we had a great time and came back with some home made local yummies!
Is fun, good for the whole family
There is not so much to do there but kids seem to like it.
This is a fun little place to spend an afternoon with the family. There are all kinds of little activities for kids to do. In the fall there is a big corn maze and hay bales to climb. There is a tractor ride to meet some llamas and alpacas. There is a mini-golf course. Tons to do. The age range tends a little young. I'd say probably under 10 would love this place. That being said there were things that the adults in our group enjoyed. If you have been to Clovermead adventure farm in Alymer it is a similar idea with some different activities.
Does anyone know if they have butter-free butter tarts?? I’m vegan. Butter flavouring is okay though. Please help. I’m hungry.
Leeping deer is a fun filled farm to have a wonderful day with family and friends. We had a blast and would highly recommend it!
A great place for the young and old. A small petting zoo, lots to entertain the children. A Cafe/bakery for some eats, a gift shop, a very well kept property.
We only visited the market. A little underwhelming maybe, with sparse shelving and products. But what they do have looks amazing! We will be going back to take in the complete experience.
We always have a good time at Leaping Deer! This is our third time back.
It was ok but a little.overpriced for what was there.
Very friendly staff, they make you feel at home. Delicious food. I recommend the garlic biscuits. Deducted a star because the selection is somewhat limited.
Discovered this gem of a place today and will without a doubt be back many more times. There was so much to do and staff was incredibly friendly. We got to feed the animals and pet the new babies and explore all over the farm. Best place to go for family fun and great homemade treats!!!
Great place.
Such a great place for all ages. Farmer Budd was very friendly and made sure we were having the best time possible. The baby goats and lambs, the pig races, the wagon ride to the alpaca and fairy trail was a few of our favorite things. Thank you so much for sharing your little farm with us. It was a very memorable adventure for all of us.
Delicious pies
My 9 year old had a blast. Great to get away from electronics and spend quality time with the kids
When I entered the door, I was welcomed by farmer budd (I guess!). Really good food, a small variety of bread, muffins, tarts and other baked goods. A cafe connected to the bake store for food to order. Not cheap or expensive, but very good food. Had the chili which tasted homemade (side bread was really good), and tart (very good too). Took some bread (very good) and muffins home. Overall all a pleasant surprise and definitely will come again.
Country charm with some decent food options
Bakery items are delicious and they have some gift ideas as well in their shop.
Kids loved. We going back for son birthday party...
Visited here for the first time, I bought garlic cheddar buns and oh man are they amazing ! They split nicely in half by hand, out some butter an just heated it in the microwave , ah-maze-zingggg!!!!! Also picked up a peach pie , beautiful flaky crust, stuffed with peaches and sweetness . The owner was super nice , and told me that she bakes everything onsite that Saturday morning . Well worth a visit can't wait to go try some more of there yummy goodies!
Will go again
Amazing place and the staff is great, we will defently be back
The new little cafe serves the best onion rings I have ever tasted in my life. Hand dipped in homemade batter....told them they need to get a truck and taken them on the road....they are incredible!
not a huge play area for kids but super good apple pie
Tons of fun for the little guys
Owner is sooooo nice
I tried the biscuits - fantastic!
Nice fresh baked goods
The cinnamon swirl!!!
Great for family
The activities and animals were great but the food took way to long 45 minutes and was wrong when we got it so it took another 10 to fix
Great place for families ????
Drove out here yesterday with my daughter just to get us some corn for dinner. It was super sweet and delicious! We also picked up some maple butter tarts. I thought 9 in a box would be too much for me and my husband to eat (he doesn’t like tarts) but it’s less than 24 hours since I’ve bought them and there are only 2 left!! Amazing tarts!!! Everyone was very friendly here and super helpful. We will be coming back this week to visit the farm and we can’t wait!
What a lovely place. This is God's country! Farmer Budd and his wife - the nicest people . We came with a tour bus. We had lunch Sandwiches ( egg salad, chicken, ham and cheese, mixed green salad; a pasta salad and for dessert we were served pie a la mode. There was a selection of different pies - I had the Peach pie - no ice cream. It was delicious not too sweet - just perfect. Tea/coffee/soft drinks. The bakery smelled heavenly. Of course we had to take home some butter tarts. We also met the newest addition to the farm. A baby Llama - he was just 4 days old. Thank you for a wonderful experience
1st time going there and my family and I loved it. So much to see and do. The family and staff are so warm and welcoming. Definitely will be back again.
Clean, friendly and lots of fun activities.
Lots to do, spent 4 hours there kids would have stayed longer but were closing.
Great place for kids, and an experience the whole family can enjoy
Best potatoe and leek soup in the world
Kids are free and adults are overcharged so if you can do outting with one adult do it
Amazing! A nice farmers market, games, activities, mini golf, a tractor ride, and so much more! My 2 year old loved all the animals! Llamas, goats, cow, peacocks, ducks, rabbits & more! I'd def go back again and tell people about how much fun it was! Thanks!
Incredible onion rings
A lovely little place with a bit of everything for everyone
We were told they now only open 1 day a week, but the amount of bakery stock on hand is going to take a long time to move with only 1 day a week. The Rhubarb Crumble we purchased has a very sloppy lower crust. The content and crumble top were OK but the sloppiness spoilt the overall experience.
