I agree with both BELINDA SMITH & DEAN VANDERPLOEG in regards to "that" VERY rude blonde !! & have no idea why after all this time, not to mention complaints, Janet does not fire her !!...... Oh wait, that's because Janet is ten times worse herself in all honesty, she just PRETENDS to be all nicey nice ! I have a cell phone video of her SWEARING at a paying customer & completely losing her temper !....now that's "real" professionalism & customer service at it's best JANET !!! Where do I post my video for everyone to clearly see how INSANE & UNSTABLE this women & her staff are

Love this place! The coffee is so good. Way better than the big chain coffee places. The service is always top notch. The back room sitting area is nicely decorated. It has a feeling of sitting at home in your own living room. If you need to work on your coffee break there's Wi-Fi and tables to sit at

I have been into Beantown Coffee at least a hundred times and I can honestly say that Janet, the owner, is one of the most consistently friendly people I can think of, inside or outside of a business. I really appreciate that she was quick to remember my name and greets me by it still. The coffee is excellent and there are also good choices for baked goods. Keep up the good work Janet and all the other girls too. :-)

I went with a friend who had a regular coffee while I had a latte. Both were excellent and the woman who owns the business served us, she was fast and very friendly, although in fairness there was no one else there at the time. She keeps a bowl of water on the street for dogs and has dog treats inside the door, Top notch experience all around.

Easily the best coffee shop I've ever visited. Local, friendly, and warm. The staff are always pleasant and the clientele tends to chat amongst themselves sometimes as well. The coffee is all organic and they offer a number of vegan options. The tea selection is also amazing.

Oh my. If you find yourself downtown Woodstock for ANY reason take time to stop in at Beantown. What a gem. This place is like 'Cheers'! Lively banter as you wait and watch the folks prepare a your order. Lots of fun things to buy, wonderful delicious treats PLUS loyalty discounts!! (You know those buy so many coffees and get one free). It's not hard to do because the coffee is "damn good" as the owner Janet says. Plus you can walk maybe 20 steps to city hall, apply for a marriage licence and get married too! Win win.

Went there a few times and felt very welcomed, but the most recent visit we had will our last unfortunately due to a dirty blonde, woman working at the counter. There was a woman around age 30 with dirty blonde hair who was at the desk and from the moment we walked in she just glared at us as we grabbed our coffee. Didn't say hello, didn't even smile once she just continues to talk to someone else in there. She made us feel very unwelcomed here and uncomfortable. When we finally payed she just had this snide look on her face and it felt like we were an inconvience to her. We are a quiet young couple and don't usually get the nicest attitude from people anywhere in public(as young people ussualy don't) but this was bar none the worst one yet. Atleast don't look at us like we are doing something wrong. Never again. Triggered my anxiety like crazy when I was in there. Horrible taste left in my mouth :( Honestly, don't go into customer service if you can't even fake a smile. I've worked in CS for 4 years and it baffles me how someone can be so rude to the people who provide their income. There is a review down a little bit also complaining about the blonde hair woman's attitude. She needs to go. Really liked it there too but we are to scared to go back :( . The owner was nice and pleasant though

You have to go here! The atmosphere is pleasant and fun! The way you would expect from a local cafe :) the coffee options are pretty great too, the normal stuff you'd expect like lattes, Americanos and various coffee type drinks but they also always have some crazy fun drinks that I've never seen at other cafes which is excellent. The small room off to the side is tons of fun, nice and quiet but you can sit with a group of people and play some excellent board games provided by the cafe! Great place to sit, stay, have a drink and a laugh, definitely a place to enjoy chatting or doing some homework! Definitely recommend Beantown for sure!

Very cute coffee shop downtown Woodstock. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I love all the different flavours/options here. I never drink plain coffee, so having a whole list of fun options is definitely up my alley (although, if it's not your thing, they of course have classic options too)! They also carry local baked goods, coffee beans, loose tea and a fridge of cold drinks. The owners are the nicest people and Beantown is definitely worth a visit!

The service is personalized and friendly. The owner knows the names of her regular customers. The coffee is selection is robust to meet everyone's preference. A good selection of speciality hot and cold drinks. Supporting local is important as evident by the vendors who supply the products, including delicious Blueberry flax seed muffins.

Janet is respectful however there is a young lady that works in there with dirty blonde hair & I find her a bit snarky & dismissive. She often tries to snip at me when I request she stamp my loyalty card & I've witnessed some after hours inappropriate behavior between her and her male friend along with two small boys both under the age of five. I don't feel a business should permit after hours PDA while small children have temper tantrums in the store or are left unattended in a vehicle outside! To me this is not professional conduct & for that I greatly deduct stars. The beverages are decent though although a bit pricey.

Such a lovely coffee shop! Full of local vendors items. Huge menu, including a fridge of different sodas, matcha, milk alternatives and several coffee options. Incredibly warm and friendly staff. Prices are higher than a chain store, but still fair.

I will 2nd, 3rd & 4th the previous comments made via Belinda Smith, Lee Shea & Dean Vanderploeg about the young blonde & Janet is pretty damn wishy washy moody depending on the day. I also witnessed her use vulgar language towards a customer & have a temper tantrum in the store requiring several customers to sit her down, trying to calm her emotional outburst. I will not be stepping foot in her establishment again. Perhaps she needs a mental health evaluation or med check.
