We have the feddbacks of real people like you who purchased the products and services of Whole Foods Market (Bakery) in Windsor (Canada).
Right now this firm has a score of 4.3 stars out of 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is good, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we may think that the valuation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to give their opinion when they are pleased with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put opinions when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Bakery is included in the category of Grocery store.
Fresh produce and THE best vegan and non vegan cookies around!
It's still real nice is downsize from what it used to be but it's still real nice
Great selection of... Everything!!
Always a good selection of food, beverage, and prepared items. The deli, bakery, and self service meal bars are amazing. The only drawback? Parking! It's almost impossible to find a space in the lot and maneuvering through the adjacent structure is a pain. If there was better parking, this would be a five star review.
Excellent shopping experience! Fast checkout! Handicap friendly!
Love it. Juice bar. Vegan cake. Vegan beyond meat options. The sandwich station. It's all good.
The bakery lady scolded me for taking a cookie label. If it's not meant for the customers to take, put a sign up and start treating customers with respect. Also, having labels out for customers to go through is unsanitary. You would think whole foods would do better.
Quality products with a nice bakery. The berry Chantilly cake is my guilty pleasure!
I took my 4 year old grandson for the first time. He enjoyed tge fresh fruits and veggies and tried sparkling water for the first time. It was fun watching his reaction to new things
Great selection of items! Prices could be more affordable though. Appreciate the smoothie bar and hot + cold food bar. They run out of items often because they're in high demand.
They really need more parking. I always have to wait to park and the parking spaces small.
Parking is terrible, mostly because of all the people who shop here have an extreme feeling of self importance. The store is tight, and made to feel even smaller because of the egos which accompany it's shoppers. Obviously we all know most items are unnecessarily high to compensate for all of the popular buzz words being touted as "better". Kroger has better sushi. The pizza is good! Though sometimes it just feels like a high-end grocery store for squirrels. The biggest pro is that they carry a few delicacy foods and ingredients which isn't regularly found at your neighborhood mart like truffle oil!
People here are always smiling and helpful. Wes at the meat counter found me a good cut for the meal I’m trying to make within the budget I had. Just one of many positive experiences I’ve had here. Thank you Wes!
Love them. They have great deals on alot of things actually. My favorite things are the Italian Sodas or Mineral Waters, Chips and Dip, and the boneless chicken in the little container. SOOOO GOOD
I love the chicken fried tofu
Solid. High prices, high quality. Even when the lines are very long, they move fast. Meat selection needs to be expanded or they might as well call it Vegan Foods
Love this place and the delivery service
Whole foods market is the best food store in midtown for me to buy soy milk. Nice staff clean bathrooms. great price for store brand chips and salsa.
Very nice whole foods, very nice employees. However, it would be nice to see more vegan options in the hot bar; vegan breakfast sandwiches, burritos or pretzel dog, I have seen them at other whole foods. More vegan options in hot bar selection would be nice. The hot bar is mostly empty now becaus covid but no vegan options are present in packaged items so I would hope some vegan ones will be made available. For being one of two whole foods in the entire metro area it should have more vegan stuff like other whole foods in l.a , chicago and elsewhere have many more vegan prepared sandwiches ready to eat. There is no vegan wrap or sandwich ready to eat at This whole foods so that is just kind of sad for a major city whole foods. You go to other whole foods it isnt like that. Juice bar would be nice too shocked there is no juice bar. For a major city this whole foods is so small for the area it has to serve(one of the of 2 whole foods for 4 million population metro area) and I do not understand why when you look at whole foods in Chicago, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Memphis, jackson, MS, Los Angeles, Denver, literally anywhere else..they just kinda skimped on Detroit whole foods and I think amazon needs to step it up and give some extra love to this whole foods!!! I hope they look into expanding this whole foods, add a bar or restaurant , a juice bar at least and more vegan options, premade vegan meals to go etc! Other than that this whole foods the people the character and charm is lovely ..
I've been going here for years and I never left a review because I always forget to do that but I enjoy shopping at this Whole Foods, it's a little small but I appreciate that it's near my apartment. I gave it four stars because the fresh cooked is in a OPEN space and I see people doing things near that food that is unsafe, I watched a lady put her fingers in the food to sample the food. One day a kid dropped some food and put it back in the pan. I also don't understand why they don't carry king crab legs and perch fish. How about opening up a bigger store downtown a second location that has everything.
It seems ok. There's outdoor seating and a place to eat. There's even a featured chef. I didn't purchase anything while there. I wanted comet cleanser and I didn't find any. I'm thinking they don't sell non perishables Or non food items. I may venture back in the summer. They play nice music...Motown.
Fresh vegetables , fruits and meat's !!! Friendly service atmosphere .
A nearby Q-line stop makes this location easily accessible, but since it is hidden behind the mid rise, you can miss it. Parking can be a chore, but thankfully the lot rotates occupants pretty quickly so you can get a spot. Everytime I've visited it has been packed, so prepare yourself for a wait.
We love everything about this store.
They work really effortly. I always appreciate their attitudes.
Wasn't too much of a selection.
Simple. Affordable. Kind. Don’t buy into the stereotypes.
Be prepared to be treated like dirt if you’re from out of town, and get dirty looks from staff. Got told to put on gloves when no one else in the store was wearing them.
Great store and good products
The biggest Whole Foods I have been to. Many good bargains here.
99 cent boxes of mac and cheese, LOVE!Pizza Bar was exhausted. Still selling slices hours after the expiration decade. Expect more at Whole Paycheck. Keep trying. We need you in Detroit.
Parking lot is extremely small but free. Parking in the garage can be $10-12 depending on the day. You can validate except a minimum $25 purchase is required even though the sign outside is deceiving and says $0 purchase is required. Sign at customer service does not indicate any minimum amount required for validation. Seems that customer service made up their own rules about a $25 minimum.
The dairy section is so vast . The cashiers were super awesome
Return drop off for Amazon. I order things from Whole Foods through Amazon. The store is always extremely busy.
They have mocchi ice cream pick your own flavor. But be careful with prepared food choices. I got food poisoning.
Friendly staff. I used to work here so I know everyone will help you find something even if it is out of "their" department !
Good great location & customer service
Health is Wealth so I'm do my best ???? ???????? to start eating healthy. Great marketplace to start. ????????????????
I like this place, but they are really, extra expensive. They're charging cash for products with Nutritional labels on them. Not cool!!
Organic chicken is one product we used to buy from Whole Foods in any city we used to go. But so far Detroit Whole Foods has been disappointing particularly meat section. They behave like they are an independent unit and not at all answerable to Whole Foods management. Initially they used to say they will not cut the meat after 9 PM, later when even when we are in the store they said timings are 8 and after couple of weeks it was 7. Timings of meat market are not listed on website and there is no information on when how they operate. We were at the store by 7 PM today and they as a team in meat market decided to stop chopping chicken, we can see there station which is clearly worked on today. I have never expected an Amazon service would be not reliable at all. And meat market in few other locations in Detroit is not consistent Ike this location.
It's a good place but I don't belong. I always feel like I'm in the way. Also I bought groceries like I was at Meijer or something, a whole cart full, when I think the norm is like a bag, maybe two
Good food here
Amazon return drop off went well. No lines. In and out quickly.
I work as a vendor for this location. They sell various types of magazines, greeting cards, as well as food and personal care items. They also sell lots of wine. They have a recycling machine for plastic and cans. They also have bins for recyclable items and trash bins for other things. Staff is nice, helpful and friendly.
Well stocked but very busy and small compared to other Whole Foods I’ve been to. Staff is really nice though. ????
Whole Foods always has a great selection of quality foods. I have legit came here for dinner and ate in the cafeteria, it’s so good. ????
Wonderful environment, nicely managed, clean and looks sanitized. Always plentifil with inventory and produce.
Typical Whole Foods, in price and selection. I really enjoyed the local selection of beers, and bought several options. I also got he Rubin's Cousin sandwich at the deli.it was delicious and will definitely order again .
Wholefoods Market - Detroit has the best Staff. They're always extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciate the fact that they're genuine and pleasant. The food here is delicious. If you're preparing a meal, they have everything you need. They also have cooked food, ready to purchase.
Great store with pretty good covid practices. Prices are very high though.
They have great selection. High quality. Great service.
Great variety and customer service, prices are just ridiculous sometimes, it's whole foods though
A little pricey but they have the best produce.
Staff here is wonderfully friendly and helpful!
Good place, just wish the parking lot wasn't so chaotic and the good water was always stocked
Great produce selection and very nice cashiers.
Great variety of products including produce, cheeses, gluten free and vegetarian items. Love it.
They don't make the ttla sandwich since covid ... Small selection of goods and produce
It was a beautiful experience.
A good experience found a few thing I was looking for at a great price. Oat milk
Store clean and organized as usual! There is hand sanitizer and wipes at entrance of store. Worker are so polite and helpful almost ever chechout lane was open... they are practicing social distancing.
1st time going back in years this is a great grocery store for things you been looking for if you live in Detroit and haven't been to this store you missing out it should be a tourist attraction
Conveniently located off the southern end of Wayne Campus. Great variety that's not available in other grocers in the area. Location is usually very very busy, especially doing the weekend. Remember to use your Prime Membership
I Faithfully come to this Whole Foods location to get this organic soap it is only $1 for Prime members and they always have multiple flavors. The place is always clean and the employees are always really nice.
Great food and groceries
Excellent customer service and clean but a few of the items I went for weren't available (bare shelves)
Clean location with helpful staff
What can I say, It's Whole Foods? Very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Not everything their is all natural, if it's in a bag or box check the label. All in all, a great shopping experience.
Good food
I ❤️Whole Foods and shopped it via Amazon Prime . Great selection of produce and everyday staples as well as specialty stuff. However now I am being charged a 9.99 delivery fee I am breaking my 2 times a week shopping habit bc it’s not worth an extra 20 bucks. I live 25 miles from the nearest store so pick up is not easy. I hate that I have to make this change .
Couldn't find what I was looking for and couldn't find an employee to ask for help. This store sucks.
I love this place! The staff are very helpful here!
This is a lovely place! They sell great food! Very healthy and tasty. Try it!
good breakfast and lunch bar. they sell really good bagels too but for some reason they stopped selling the individual cream cheeses for the individually bought bagels...what’s the point?!
I t has very nice and fresh foods , but the prices are too steep for me. The parking lot is always full. You have to keep driving around until someone leaves.
Great day! I just love this place. I got a veggie pizza slice for my daughter. The Broadway is my favorite sandwich. I bought wine and pickled veggies. Cheese and crackers. Fruit. High akaline water.
Whole Foods is usually good but the last time I went there I got a piece of pizza and it was nasty horrible! I can't believe they would serve something like that. That pizza was so bad, I won't even drive down the street this place is on.
Lots of great vegan/plant-based options!
Such an Amazing selection for the size of this particular Whole Foods. The only thing I didn't like was there's no parking and this place gets packed really quickly for such a small place, but it had everything I needed and more????
They carry a great selection of goods & the staff is always willing to help you!
Enjoying a snack in the 2nd floor loft above the Market.
First of all, the quality of the place is noticeable in the way of organization and cleanliness, most of all the products are organic and vegan. The meats and sea food look in very good condition, adding that if you are an Amazon Prime Member you have the opportunity to get a little discount in stores. They have everything from all kinds of grains to all kinds of cheese. They have an smoothies store inside, an small buffet, including pizza and other things. Also if you are a wine lover you will find many of the best in one place. This place is something that you will love.
Another day waiting for my daughter in Detroit (she is in a class at the Detroit Opera) This time, I decided to have lunch at Whole Foods Market. What is nice about having lunch there is that you can eat real food like a piece of cheese with bread. I bought a piece of Seaside English Cheddar from Ashley Chase Estate - England that was yummy. And the coffee is also very good. Enjoy!
The store was very busy, but I never felt too crowded or uncomfortable. Tons of options for vegans. I got a plate of food from the hot-bar. $13. I ate off that plate for two days. Convenient location. I can't wait to go back again.
I love this place. Foods great!
Go to Honey Bee Market, trust me!!!
Excellent customer service!
Whole paycheck. Workers are super nice. Prices are insane.
Lines were ridiculously long!!! I had to self check out!!! Couldn't price check, it's like I was there with no help!!! This is suppose to be a high end grocery store??? NOT... I'M GOING TO STOP GOING HERE!!! THEN IN ADDITIONAL THEY DIDN'T HAVE SPRING WATER ONLY DISTILLED AND THEN THE SHELVES WE'RE POORLY STOCKED
Great selection of items! Prices are very affordable. They are also nice people.
Total experience always Incredible, my go to place, whereever I am, I always know I can eat and buy healrhy
I love shopping here. They have food that is healthy for you, not everyone cares for whole foods, due to high prices. I pray that Whole Foods corporate offices, start weekly or biweekly testing for the Covid-19 on all employees. When it was found that more than twenty employees had the covid-19 virus, I stop shopping there for a month. I'm happy they are again, allowing customers to shop with limited people inside.
Very pleasant place to buy groceries midtown. Parking available. Nice wine selection. Hot and cold prepared food bars. Some items are a little pricey but not ridiculously so.
Good produce and ready to eat foods. An oasis in downtown Detroit.
Awesome ???? Sauce???? Place To Get Vegan Food & Drinks It Rules ????????????️????
I have to say this Whole Foods is pretty great. Well maintained and kept facility with a bountiful amount of produce and products to choose from. Fruits and vegetables range from tropical to local as well as Fair Trade. I love the fact that is your an Amazon Prime member you can get 10% off off select items as well as order online with delivery. Another highlight is that there is someone at the door making sure all baskets and carts are disinfected and sanitized before customer use to ensure safety during Covid. Overall I love this location in the heart of the city. I will definitely visit again! (Attached is a picture of the fruits and beverage I purchased there).
Other then there food being pricey, I feel it's worth it. I love their pre-packaged salads. The crouton inside are amazing! They also have GREAT customer service. I just really enjoy the overall atmosphere of the store.
It is always a wonderful experience however today an older man with grey facial hair. Pushing a large cart was so rude and really didn't want to help me when i asked about the nutritional yeast. He ignored me.he appeared to be irratated. Somebody give him a hug or at least send him home..he is not there for the customer!!!
Unorganized. Meat department has good reasonably priced meat.
My favorant store. Love service. Always ready to help. Kind and personal people.????????????????
Amazon should research the poppy and why Canadians wear them w pride. Hope all Canadians and vets from the US find another store to shop at.
Over the last year, their product offering is getting a little better, as we expected more when moving from Texas, home of Whole Foods. Additionally, we have been in other limited footprint Whole Foods in other places and countries and know it can be done better. In midtown we have a "Half Foods". 2 years ago would have been 3 stars but have seen product offering and presentation improvement differences.
I buy my health needs here, an outstanding display of foods I buy my organic foods here.
THE BEST WHOLD FOODS IN DETROIT! (...because its the only one) Pricey, compared to most other groceries, but worth checking out for Ancient Grain bread alone--hands down the best loaf in town. I wish Bezos didn't cut benefits for the workers after Amazon purchased WF. Now I feel conflicted between giving him money and supporting the workers there. Would be great if it were a co-op.
Prices high
I have noticed many changes here, and really regret not smelling the fresh prepared food and seeing the faces of so many beautiful and health conscious ppl and cashiers.
This was a great Whole Foods. I went here to pick up some things for Thanksgiving while staying out of town with relatives. They had really good vegan selections and many things they don’t have at the Whole Foods back in my city.
I really love this place!! The people here are helpful and pleasant!! Great shopping,.
Out of too many items and I was told by security that I have to leave my small backpack outside while women are allowed to enter with large purses. What’s the difference? It’s not as if I’m gonna unzip my backpack in the middle of the aisle to put stuff inside. So backwards and sexist, honestly. ???? Really, the main reason to come here for me is their selection of vegan dairy brands like Violife and Miyokos.
I've loved this market since day one, fresh fruits and veggies, an awesome food court and good foods. The staff is awesome too.
Very expensive
I have experienced repeat misgendering and incidents of transphobia here, from both customers and staff. I will not be back.
A different experience and a pleasant one.
Always LOVE shopping there and their delicious crab SALAD ????
The Sam's club of whole foods It's always clean but it was so busy today the first of the new year seems like everyone wanted to come to whole foods today
I love Whole Foods it’s my go to shopping location for meat and anything else I want to be fresh
Interesting assortmemt of food. Vegan organic etc. To me seems expensive for what ya get
Online said that the tumeric soap was available but it wasn't. Had to pick something else
Way over priced in Detroit
Seems like every product is expensive here
Friendliest grocery store in the area. The employees seem to like their jobs and actually enjoy serving customers.
I really enjoy shopping here but its always crazy busy at this location no matter what. I have no complaints about the store itself. Great health options for the health conscious people. Great food selections as well. I wish there was one closer to home though.
Great Grocery Shopping Experience. Fully Cooked Holiday Meals for the family ready to heat and serve. Delicious.
Whole foods use to be the go to spot but in all honesty for a small piece of cake $3.99, really? Another customer was saying the same thing, she said bc everyone getting food stamps food prices have been going up.???? When shopping here it's best to chose certain items not grocery shop. Amazon pick up is available up stairs, excellent idea they have is alot of hand sanitizer around the market and the hand made soap is wonderful.
Everything is kinda pricey, most foods appear to be organic, Amazon Prime offers some good sales/discounts.
Used this store for an Amazon return. The two ladies were unprofessional. Amazon states, "Whole Foods will pack, label, and ship your return for free." But they had me pack it and they even refused to throw away my trash from the packing.
The worlds best cinnamon roll exists at whole foods. Seem unlikely? Well it's true, and you can take it from me, I've had them all! It's not overstatement or hyperbole or hubris when I say this. Just fact. Love them, and theirs is the best. Great food here. A little over priced, but I guess it's expensive to do it right.
I love shopping here, I usually go once a week. Prices can be high but it is also high quality, the staff is knowledgeable, and its intuitively laid out. One downside could be that there is limited parking in the lot, but you can always park at the garage next door and validate.
Very nice but 7 bucks for a small round watermelon. That will never ever happen again
There are no outdoor picnic tables as the Ann Arbor store has but there are plenty of good reasons to go here.
Wow! What an awesome place to go shopping. I found stuff here that even my local health food shops don't carry. Everything was so colorful and fresh, labeled clearly and easy to find. So many good selections!!! The deli was amazing as was the sandwich counter. The seitan sandwich was made in front me and tasted soooo good!! I will definitely be returning to spend all my money????
This my place of employment. At which health, wellness, community involvement, team work, and positivity is foremost. We cater to all customers by striving to provide earnest concern and product knowledge. At WHOLEFOODS Market - Midtown, Detroit with our excellent leader Larry Adams and his management team is the little house that could...and did... bring quality foods and humanity in business to urban Detroit! When corporate America discounted and dis-believed... in urban Detroit, "Big Larry" BELIEVED and did it! Thank you Detroit! For continuing to believe and support!
Thank you whole foods because I can travel anywhere in the world and find a whole foods store almost. We are what we eat
There was a homeless man sitting in front of this whole foods holding a sign begging for money. This was a smaller whole foods so I wasn't able to find everything I needed.
I found my peppermint soap
Great place in the city to have to go get healthy fresh foods . Definitely a motivation place to eat right.
It is wonderful to have this Whole Foods store in Detroit! It's as well or better stocked than several I've been to in the suburbs. Kudos!
Security is GMO lol unprofessional unfriendly
I love whole foods because it is always well taken care of like clean, full of freshness and the staff is always friendly???????? plus they have the best bread ???? ❤
Love the pizza..Love the fruits!
This Whole Foods is small. Relatively speaking, it is the smallest I have ever been to. The staff is friendly. Selections are few on most items, quality is fair. I wish they had the Bar and Grill set up that most other Whole Foods have, it would be enjoyable to enjoy a beer or glass wine while you shopped, like other locations around the country. Curious why they choose to build this one so small. Overpriced but expected.
Amazing amount of healthy products but very high prices. This company caters to people who have lots of money to spend and not to low income people who are suffering. Healthy products be it food, cosmetics, drinks, should be affordable for ALL people and not the rich!
The prices are a little high but that's to be expected when trying to eat healthy. I love the fact that you can sit and eat your lunch here. Lines move quickly and the staff are always friendly.
My son bought me roses from Whole Foods for Mother’s Day and spent quite a bit of money for 2 doz. they were nice for only a few days. They never opened despite my using the floral food and trimming the stems under water. The roses turned brown within a week. He feels terrible and I feel bad that he was sold such bad flowers.
Went for the hot soup on a cold snowy day and as usual their soup doesn't disappoint. The self check out cashier was friendly. They have the right person at the check out!
Just like nearly every other grocery store in Detroit, it is out of stock on everyday things quite often. The selection is better as far as fresher and healthier food. It really needs to be three or four times bigger.
Parking is bad!
I love this place! Staff is always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. ????
An integral part of my weekly grocery shopping. Whole Foods has many exclusive items I need, especially for my son who has multiple food allergies and my vegan wife. Parking in the lot is tight and very crowded at peak times so consider parking in the adjacent structure and validate at the service counter. Checkout can also be crowded but service is consistently fast, efficient, and friendly.
1/4 of the size of any other whole foods I've ever been to. Still a decent selection but very much lacking in others due to the size constraint.
Bought hot food from the self service area. It was very hot and delicious. I did have issues finding plastic forks though.
Very knowledgeable staff. Always willing to help customers.Fresh vegetables and wonderful produce.
With the situation going on now with covid-19 the prices are too high for low income people
It's the only one in Detroit I think. It's a lot smaller than the ones I'm used to in Orlando where there are larger shops which fit in a larger Cafeteria and therefore more choice. You can find yourself frequently running into other shoppers as you navigate past the displays that inhibit free movement. Will still visit but wish it was a bigger.
Great shop in a great city
Very good quality
Since relocating to Metro-Detroit from another state a few months ago, this has been my go-to spot for wild caught seafood and their meats.Every other week I've spent as much as $192.00. Yesterday, I had a terrible experience with a cashier over bags. I will not be back!
Great cakes! I love that they use French Chantilly cream and fresh fruits The cake is fluffy and not very sweet. Perfect for birthday parties. The price is great for the quality that you get.
Let's say if want to find some vegetarian alternatives here
Great shopping experience and nice to see some new variety. Well stocked with fresh items. Every employee was engaging and nice. Parking was tight and people were struggling with it, so be careful with your vehicle.
I mean it's whole foods, they're awesome. If you're lucky sometimes they stock gluten free beer.
It's super nice to have our Whole Foods Market right in the heart of downtown Detroit. Special thanks to all the incredible team players of Whole Foods I think you're wonderful!
WAY too few shopper's allowed inside. It appears to be 10%!?
Just returned from whole foods. I live in midtown. I was assailed by the cashier for not writing the item number on the self serve red lentils. I apologized and said the pen was not there near the spices and not working on the middle ledge. She insisted that I should have found the pen. I stopped talking to de-escalate the situation. She then said "but we still love you". And I laughed and said "that's because I am the customer". I should have just memorized the number....or whole foods could adhere to the timeless adage that "the customer is king (or queen)."
Nice addition to midtown detroit.
When they built this store a few years ago I don’t think they realized how popular it would be. They should have built a much bigger store.
Convenient, wide selection of foods and nice people working here. I also love the wonderful layout!
I needed to return a package Whole Foods Market was very convenient to do so.
Nice ,store fully stocked Had exactly what I needed
Whole Foods Detroit has things I can't find anywhere else and has great food and a great environment overall.
Very clean and we'll stocked. I usually order online and that service is outstanding.
Great store, they have most the great foods Whole Foods carries. The on site ready made food is also good. I love their cheese selection as well. Workers are very friendly and the store is clean.
A nice place to shop for groceries
Absolutely the worst system for covid19. A man who was incapable of pushing his own cart forward in line, only because he was too busy shopping, unsurprisingly held up the line again when he reached the register. The cashiers were not able to move people forward for 45 minutes (possibly longer). With no solutions in sight to move the line forward I had to give up and leave. A horrible experience from cashier's inability in conflict resolution, and of course people who are unable to function in society.
Whats not great about this place? Its great for bfast, fresh coffee, lunch, hot dinner, vitamins, and so much more...one catch. Too expensive. If you are a light eater this may be ideal but my pockets drain when doing my main grocery shopping here. So I usually come for my favorites or lunch. Nice staff too.
Easy way to return Amazon stuff.
Mostly pleasant experience. Awesome meat counter. Used to have turkey chops and chicken wings, and now they no longer carry or limited. Staff is always nice, attentive, & helpful. Usually crowded after 5p. Best times to visit is in the morning.
It's a nice store, employees seemed to be happy, and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be.
It's been a few years since I've been here. It's still a great experience!
THEE ABSOLUTE BEST...
Love the friendly atmosphere añd they are very accommodating and professional
They always have everything I'm looking for. The only reason I have this place four stars is because it's so busy sometimes you can't find a parking spot. Everybody who works there is a student type of unique and it's really cool seeing such a great mixture of Detroit's midtown culture there.
Whether you’re new in town or a local needing a fresher healthier approach to your busy lifestyle. Look no further, it’s local with handicap accessibility, kid friendly with tiny shopping baskets and all Overall shopping experience 5 Stars . Selection of fresh and organic produce 5 Stars , New Coffee brewing station 5 Stars, Superb Wine selection with an equally impressive Cheese bar selection, Best of all consistently friendly staff overall. #LetsGuide #LocalGuide #Lifestyleblogger.
Whole Foods never disappoint! Clean stores, friendly staff and great food choices. If you're trying to lose weight, go to the hot foods section with $5. That'll be portion control at its finest! That good food is satisfying for sure but those plates are EXPENSIVE AS EVER! WEIGHT LOSS = HOT FOOD SECTION, $5. That will get you a wing, two french fries and a half slice of bread. Lol They're a 10 in my opinion. Also try the Rubicon chocolate cupcakes. Awesome!
Whole Foods Market has a wide selection of specialty foods and everyday staples. They offer full butcher services, lots of cheeses, wine, deli, bakery for every event or even just a snack, soap, cleaning supplies, perfume, facial cleansing and personal care products, and fresh cut flowers for your tables. They also offer bulk foods, olive oils, nut oils and vinegars. They offer a hot bar, soup bar, salad bar, and olive bar. You can even find mascarpone cheese here. There is no lottery or money orders available at WFM. Parking is free and all public doorways are wheelchair accessible.
I once saw a lady outside this WF having a full meltdown about the parking situation and I think about her a lot. Parking here is a struggle and inside the store is about equally demoralizing. The location is too small to stock all the items one could reasonably need for a full grocery run and ~ 40% of the time they are out of the one or two various items I am running in for. I recently visited the produce section on a Sunday and had flashbacks to Y2K. Checkout lines are typically 4-5 people deep which causes a major traffic jam in the entire store front. Shopping at a full size Whole Foods can’t even compare to the Detroit location. I give it 2 stars for merely existing and for the employees who sincerely look like they are trying.
There's some things that I like to buy from this store, but in all honesty your really just paying for the name. I've been to much cleaner, more organized, and friendlier speciality grocery stores. My biggest gripe is the lack of consistency regarding deli foods , and the overall disorganization in that area.
2 stars go for some employees that are really trying to make it work! Other than that this WF is really lacking… It’s a small one, which might be ok for a city but there are no other ones so it’s annoying…I am from CA so I might be bias… they are huge there but I also lived in NYC with small city Whole Foods much nicer than this one… no meat section, (just pre packed) the buffet is very limited… can’t always find veggies (butternut squash or pre-packed greens) In more than one occasion I couldn’t find carts and had to go to back the parking lot to chase one. Cashiers are not always the nicest or helpful… if you bring your own bags (You know… sustainability?!) they don’t help you bag, I know it’s company’s policy but one day the cashier literally asked me “can you pay so I can help the next costumer” while I was trying to bag a mountain of items and had a baby in the cart moving…I paid and kept bagging as fast as I could and then he started pushing my things and bagging the groceries of the next costumer while I was still there… I seriously felt so rushed and unwelcome … So, now I don’t bring my own bags anymore… Lastly… always, always, always, no matter day or time: Very long lines and few cashiers available … Whole Foods really dropped the ball with this location
A little crowded. A small store.. very hard to move around in the fruit and vegetables area. Everything else was as expected. They let too many people inside at one time.
Clean establishment, kind cashiers, and yummy stuff to find in here. I honestly didn't even know there was a Whole Foods back this way- I'll definitely be frequenting this place more often!
I don’t really care for this location. The parking lot is ALWAYS a mess. People flying from every corner. You’re gonna crash your car before you get some groceries. And then the lines be a mile long.. not my first choice
Worst Whole Foods experience of my life. Cashier smashed my flowers and crammed all of my groceries into two paper bags (including eggs and raw chicken). For the ridiculous price you spend here, you should be able to expect decent customer service.
Always a great place to stop, even for a slice of Pizza always fresh
If you stay away during peak times then parking Is a breeze and checkout is quick and efficient. The salad bar is amazing and the large selection of quality items keeps me coming back.
This location is the only one in Detroit and it's very busy. Must be patient and sometimes they are out of stuff fast.
So I'm standing in a really long line to get groceries because they have most of the registers closed I guess to protect somebody from Covid-19, and I guess the best way to do that is to make sure there's really long lines of people who stand next to each other for long periods of time. But then when I get up to the register, the girl working their register is going to complain and tell me that I need to pull my mask up more? How about have all your registers open, so that people can get in and out of the store if you're so concerned about my safety? And unless you have a medical professional working at each register, I don't need instructions on how to wear or even not wear my mask.
Always Excellent customer service!!????????⭐????????
Glad Amazon decided to work with the city in order to put a grocery store in the city! Yes Whole Foods is a bit more expensive but the prices did go down pretty significantly after Amazon purchased them. For those not use to paying for foods that don’t contain crazy chemicals this place probably is a shock to the system so i suggest buying vegetables and a few other products and then shop elsewhere for other items. Having Amazon prime and their credit card also helps the overall cost and offers some incentives for using their card which works just fine in this Whole Foods BTW. The Whole Foods main parking lot can get full quickly but the overflow parking works pretty well! Overall happy with products, service and location!
Whole Foods in Detroit the best place for organic groceries and pastries
Its clean! Great service!
Very convenient but very congested. The way the lines were being handled was confusing. I left feeling a smidgen overwhelmed.
Great food but still expensive.
I love this place! I went there to pick up some soup for a coworker today and I thought I walked into a food wonderland. Awesome selections and many vegan and gluten free choices. Will be coming here for lunch for now on.
Whole foods always has every hard to find food products in stock and with inventory constantly being checked rarely will you ever be disappointed by bad produce or old products. Best way to shop any whole foods market is smaller more frequent buys to ensure your always getting the most bang for your buck without wasting food at home as real food does go bad quicker than foods filled to the brim with preservatives.
One of a growing number of quality grocery options for the downtown and midtown area. Whole Foods is reliable and convenient. Right on the q line and with its own parking lot for drivers or non drivers. This is one of the few places around town where you can find grass fed beef as well as many other extremely nutritious items.
Very clean, friendly staff. Lots of selection and good amount of inventory. Parking g can be difficult, but there is an adjacent parking g structure for overflow.
Don't shop here. The employees treat the customers with the same disdain as Whole Foods treats the employees. Parking also sucks. Stay away from this Karen infested Hell.
There was a line but they always have what I need. They have the most diverse selection of cheese its amazing!!!
A Covid Hotspot!
A wonderful place to shop for groceries. Great selection of things that you won't find in regular grocery stores. I drive from Canada to go grocery shopping here, as it's only an hour away compared to my closest Canadian whole Foods store which is in Toronto, about 4 hours away LOL.
Always enjoy shopping there. Never a bad experience. Employees are very helpful and pleasant!!
Seemed okay. Nothing stood out as exceptional. Whole Foods is a little on the pricier side but they do carry a lot of high quality brands. Linking your Amazon Prime account will give you good deals.
Forget this place. I had a limited time to buy ingredients for plans later today, and I really needed limes. This place didn’t have limes. How the hell does a Whole Foods sell lemons in three different locations yet have no limes. Good thing Plum market is open now. Better to support a local chain than international one anyways.
I love the store its small but had everything you need the hot food bar is excellent so is the bakery , salad bar and deli I love the diversity if the staff and shoppers as well as the healthy options. Even though at times it can ve pricey I like that I can feel comfortable feeding my family here my only complaint is there aren't allot of nut free / peanut free options on bakery times and hot food options
I always enjoy going to Whole Foods.
Used to be my favorite but the pandemic changed everything... No more hot food bar no more bakery ( items are in containers) deli is still delicious
Loved my easy shopping experience there. I was happy to see the vegan foods available. Cashiers and staff are nice and friendly. Highly recommend it.
The thing I like most about it is the convenience to home. Great produce section. The fish is a bit over handled so I skip it. I don't know about the meats. Carries all the usual whole food stuff including a nice beer selection. The wine section is small but workable in a pinch.
Flies on food at the open food bar
Pricey but for the things that I do need from here it is well worth my money
Very clean location. Very nice staff, this was my first time here today so healthy and safe. They also have natural organic vitamins and minerals and food here. ????????
An excellent selection of artisan foods. The cheese selection is phenomenal both imported and domestic. The organic vegetable selection is unmatched in the area as well. Making Detroit healthier one plate at a time!
Employees do the best they can, but they often seem under supported.
Food was pricey, but the food is good.
I love that Whole Foods came to Detroit. For large swaths of the city grocery stores just don’t exist. For those outside Detroit, It’s a central hub that you can get to easily from the metro area. Free parking is often packed but I’ve always found a spot. The employees seem happy and are therefore quite helpful. It makes me so happy to be in a place filled with happy people and quality food.
Review went down drastically because (my favourite item) the curried chicken salad's new recipe is DISGUSTING. Super dry and so much added to it in a weird chunk form...it used to be nicely shredded chicken and diced veggies, with enough dressing to properly bind the flavours together. So disappointed.
I recently moved back to Detroit after living in Chicago for 10 years. There are tons of Whole Foods in Chicago with lots of different options. I was vegan for a while in Chicago. It's very difficult to be in Detroit and be a vegan with food allergies including dairy, eggs, gluten, and peanuts ????. Although this Whole Foods does not have as many selections as the ones in Chicago, nor is it as large, it still has good options. Plus, it's located in Detroit. 5 stars for that alone.
It was bad. I'm an Amazon prime the pricing seafood was a mess. I left the Roeder champagne, scallop, shrimp, and 2 packs of bean sprouts.$88. I left it. The pricing was wrong as posted.
Finally some decently healthy food. Out of all the things to miss from home (Netherlands), healty food was the most prominent one. I love America, but man... y'all got nothing but those enormous portions of unhealthy food. It's almost hard to find a piece of lattice, which isn't served on a burger.
The staff are helpful. There is a large variety of vegetarian foods. Hot, prepared foods. Grounds are kept neat and clean.
Best Groceries in Detroit ????
Only place I buy my fruits and love using Amazon Prime here for great deals. Customer service is always friendly and helpful. The reason I left one star off is because of parking. The parking lot is insane. I wish it was bigger.
Next time you get the munchies go buy their muffins. You will not regret it. #Delicious
Nice place to buy organic food.
Much better. Clean, fast, and courteous.
First time shopping at this location and I must say I was impressed. Most things were in stock except for water it was in limited supply. Floor staff was very helpful and I ordered the teriyaki salmon chef plate that was quite tasty. The store was clean as well as the lot and check out was smooth. My cashier was fast, efficient, and very friendly leaving me with an all around good experience!
Great selection and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Convenient if you live/work in the Midtown area. Prices on produce aren't that bad, but the for the rest of the selection, quite expensive.
????
Love, love this place!! The vanilla bean layer cake & their carrot cakes are my guilty pleasures! I see things hv changed. I haven't been in there since 2019. I like the Amazon return service station, it is so convenient!! What a great idea!
Great food and special cakes/ Home made soups and great meats. Good clean vegetables.
Most things sold here are either organic or Non-GMO. This place stands as an epitome of the anti-science ideaology plaguing the planet right now.
Its always a pleasure being able to get Great Healthy food ???? ????
They had every grocery product that I needed for my meal!! ????
There's something for everyone! They're community minded! Excellent variety of food's for all ethnicities. Everything is usually fresh. I'm a regular customer and am so glad they came to detroit.
So far so good! Great quality with pretty decent prices. I had dinner from the hot foods bar for two days now. Day one, the Jamaican greens and rice were excellent. I went on day two for more, I think someone forgot to cook the rice on day two, it was extremely crunchy. I also had the grilled sweet potatoes. The fish counter was impressive, salmon burger, shrimp, and scallops is what we purchased.... deliciously fresh! I'd visit everyday if I could.
Great team members here! Everyone is so friendly. Parking almost made me give this location 4 stars but the quaility prices and excellent produce section out weighs the parking nightmare.
Great selection of tasty, healthy food in a food desert!
It was cool! Everybody was in a good mood!
Wonderful
They remark how good their food is by being organic, but where is the saturated fats and cholesterol and overall fats and high sodium content come from. I can find more suitable food at grocery stores like savalot Kroger and other food stores. Will not go back, high price for unhealthy food.....
I love this store! Every thing is fresh. Great smoothies.
smoothie station isn't ever open smh
Manager, Larry has made sure this place stay the #1 grocer for Midtown area residents. Its the most diverse and socially networked grocer in Detroit where you meet your neighbors, business leaders, politicians and celebs at any given time. Enjoy the hot buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fish Fridays are great with the infamous tarter sauce. Clearly, someone lives in this store since its opening ????????
Doesn't do anything to lower the over-inflated cost of food in the inner city "food desert."
Most of the food I buy from this location goes bad well before it us supposed to; lettuce lasts 2-3 days, cheese grows moldy in a week, milk goes sour in 5 days. I bought food for NYear dinner here the same day as food from Meijer, which is still good, so I know its not my Fridge. Beware shoppers!!
Don't Go Hungry! Spent $50.oo on hot ready to eat. Real Good.
Great selection of local/regionally produced foods. Excellent choice of products as you'd expect at a Whole Foods. Very good salad/hot bar for grab and go food. Great produce too.
Store was clean. Hot food bar was not very good. Food cold or over cooked as well as pricey. Shopping experience was great, food not so much...
Great place if you are Vegan.
A little out my budget but different variety of products
Detroit store on Mack and Woodward is the worst Whole Foods I've ever shopped at! They are always out of basic salad bar ingredients like spinach, romaine, blue cheese and cranberries, and recently started using frozen produce and bananas in their smoothies, which taste horrible. The manager told me directly the supply chain and shipping is horrible. It is terrible that Detroit's only Whole Foods is at this poor level of service.
Where is all the locally sourced produce from Detroit farmers? There's over 20 registered farms in the city of Detroit yet none of their produce is sold here. I know of at least 9 organic farms off the top of my head yet not 1 local farm distributes produce to this staple of Detroit. Food Field Farm, D town farms, City Commons, Keep Growing Detroit...why hasn't Whole Foods even made an attempt to support these large scale farms in some way? Support local farms by purchasing from them not an upscale market who gets their produce from farms that you can't even visit to verify where your produce is coming from. Wake up people! What happens when markets like this one can't reach their out of state distributors? If, God forbid our state gets shut down and these markets can't source their stock any longer? When you reach out to finally support these local farms they won't be around any longer because when they needed your patronage you were too busy giving your money to whole foods who buys their produce from a farm somewhere out of state and sprays "ORGANIC" roundup on the green beans you just fed to your children for dinner.
I love Whole Foods, it's a bit pricey and the parking area needs to be increased. I love the quality of the produce the variety of healthy foods and the soaps are great. There are so many choices here, the store needs to be larger the isles are crowded. The staff is extremely nice and polite and professional.
The grocery stores closer to me have worse produce/gf/meat alternative options. This is a perfect spotless store with many of the alternative options I was looking for. I would only go here for fresher produce and food alternative needs because it's expensive. I would go to a grocery store closer to me for the other basics.
What a great experience! When you enter it says "Say Something Great about Detroit". I'd like to say...Detroit offers organic food options to residents in the Midtown district! There is old meets new here, the cashiers are very friendly, and people really love what they do. I like it!
They should consider expanding hours to 10pm.
It's good. Had mostly what we wanted and all that we needed except for non fufu beers. Didn't have some things like olive salad already prepared but I think it's because they stock for their local clientele and so we changed up our ideas and enjoyed our dinner and wine.
It's a nice store, but it just doesn't have everything a normal household needs out of a supermarket. It's overpriced and the only decent supermarket within 2 miles of my home. The layout is bizzare. The bulk section is refreshing.
Nice varied selection of inexpensive foods, decent collection of herbal supplements, crowded lines during rush hour, clean isles and products, and an attractive female crowd! The attractive women this place attracts nets it an extra star for four stars total.
I am not much of a grocery shopper but I will say that I enjoyed shopping at the Whole Foods in midtown Detroit! It is a place where there is truly a variety of people looking to find true organic and healthy food! I extremely love the friendly and charming cashier Anthony who was very helpful with my groceries!
The service was excellent
I absolutely love Wholefoods.. the only thing i do not care much for are their prices which I do sense a change is coming since they were recently acquired by Amazon! They have great products that are responsibly sourced and if anything goes array with a product such as seafood for example.. they will not carry that product until its safe to consume... they do not keep all fruits year round but carry the ones that are in season! Fresh breads can also be found here... I hope someday in the near future they bring one of their 360 stores to my area or close enough to drive to!
Wheni I shop here they have what I’m looking for.
Great product great service
First time in commuting for business. Excellent customer service and great atmosphere. From the moment I walked in the cleaning technician was very pleasant. The gentleman working the salad bar answered my question was so nice and the cashier was very polite and efficient #210 @15:13 on 4/23/19 and the minestrone soup was hot and delicious. I will be commuting several times a month I will shop here again.
It sure does cost to eat healthy but the smoothies are sooo sooo good
Great job social distancing. Waited in line to go in but it was fairly quick.
Clean, organized and reasonable prices. Great parking
Come on now, it's Whole foods
Customer service is a joke, long waits everytime! And rude black female saleswomen, with attitude problems, seems to trending in the majority places I shop in the 48 States. My belief is, to many chemicals have created a new modern day "Mad Hatters disease" ;therefore, making our young black women not see reality for what it is. My personal message to these young people in the 48 States I've traveled, first, you hit the lottery by being born in the U.S. Secondly, if you have clean water and food to eat, you have more than most people on this planet! And finally, take a good look in the mirror, and now you have the answers to most of your problems!
What you would expect from a Whole Foods. Clean and nice new store. Very nice deli staff, the employee went well out of his was to make the house made potato chip for me. Love those chips!
#1 in town
Shout out to Dennis on the register!!!! He & all the employees today made me appreciate this place here in my neighborhood
WFM is my mecca!
Love going there
Love this store... They always have what im looking for.
One of the best markets in the city, baby
Love it, quick and fresh.
It's great to have a Whole Foods in the city. Hot food bar for lunch. Smaller then the usual store and shared parking.
Always find what I'm looking for and they have one the best hot food bars in-store and excellent desserts . if organic is what you want or like healthy things it's the place to go
Not enough cashiers.
Is the store is nice the service is terrible
Well organized nice atmosphere
Love Whole Foods, parking lot is kind of a death trap though
Staff is friendly and the store is clean. They have a lot of ready to eat options. This is a great addition to Midtown. It is a bit pricey but that's all Whole Foods.
Great variety of baked goods, vegan selections of every product, delicious pizza and hot ready to go foods for carryout such as Mac and cheese, delicious beef and Double Cheese Broccoli and Cheese Soup.
Cashier was so nice and generous, she gave me a prime discount because I put a bag of tortilla chips back where they belonged on the shelf
Everything I want her
A little smaller than other Whole Foods, but good for lunch with a fresh salad bar and hot buffet. Fast check out.
Awesome service. I always enjoyed my time here.
Heavily overpriced
Love love love the staff here! They are beyond helpful. My favorite cereal was gone one of the sales people put in a note to the supplier. My grandmother goes all the time and they are just so warm and hospitable, like a hotel or restaurant. It's a smaller Whole Foods but I can usually find everything I need here. Aside from Eastern Market, it's my main place for groceries.
Clean, great staff and well organized. Three stars came from over pricing. No reason that products here are marked up 40-60%. Same identical products can be found elsewhere for less and in our current economic state the only reason for this is greed. Smh! ????
Great selection of foods. Not your run of the mill grocery store
Nice place. Love the cupcakes. They need to stock more of "on sale" products such as organic eggs and they tend to run out of ground beef. Lines can be long/slow sometimes. The store could probably be twice the size and still boom. The area really needed a quality grocer so I appreciate Whole Foods very much!
If you want fresh, organic foods, and not only, this is the place to go. You find everything, meat, veggies, fruits, dairy , drinks, sweets, breads shampoos, soaps, and lot more, in one place. Convenient location. I gave 4 stars, just because some days you really need more parking spaces.
Be prepared to wait in line FOREVER!!!!!!! It’s so inefficient shopping here, they need more check out aisles or something to make it worthwhile to shop here. It’s so expensive too, it’s not worth the price/wait time.
Absolutely love this place!
They usually have everything I want and the staff is great. Very friendly and very nice. Their are a lot of homeless people outside of the store though.
Not the best day for Whole Foods. It started with the woman who kept taking her mask off while talking on the phone. Not sure why she thought the fabric would prevent her from being heard or why she felt the need to continually stand next to me wherever I moved. Then when I went to check out, I noticed that I was standing in the wrong place (two registers were fed by a single line) so I moved. When I went to check out, the cashier said that someone who was standing where I had previously been was there before me. I understood why she was mistaken because the correct line was behind her and I had been in the wrong place to start so I stepped back and waved him through. When I checked out I told her that while I was aware that she did not see me, I was in the correct line, and I was there first. Her response, "it's all good." Poor customer service all around. One consolation, at the moment I was being told "Its all good," the cashier at the second register that was served by the line and who saw the entire scene told another customer who was in the wrong place how the line worked. So while I had a poor experience, I could see other members of the team trying to help.
Amazon return fast and easy
Thought it would be larger and the prices are really there.
Friendly staff. Well stocked shelves.
Going to Whole Foods Detroit is always a great experience
Had the crab meat I needed for Thanksgiving
Whole Foods has a great selection of everything and the employees are very very helpful and courteous
Stop in to purchase some oranges, apples and bananas because my co-worker said they had a sale on the oranges for $3.99. To my surprise you the only way you get them on sale if you're a prime member. I was quickly reminded why I don't shop at the store and why I closed my Amazon account. The market is definitely not inclusive, just like Amazon is not inclusive. So forget about the folks who are on fixed income that can't afford the overpriced items. Shame on our leaders for approving such overpriced market in the area. So people still don't have access to fresh fruits & veggies. Definitely the halves & halves not!
Favorite! Has everything for your organic needs. Love the good soap!
Always a pleasure to shop here.
Whole Foods needs to start doing a better job of stocking merchandise in the store store it is nice and clean and they really need to hire more employees stop making people stand outside in the rain no more standing outside in long lines on Sunday watch out for Sundays in Whole Food
If a high priced grocers is your thing then shop here. Selection is definitely this store's best quality.
Good store, a little expensive but open till 9 pm which helped out. Found out that when you show your Amazon app on your phone you can get a discount. Only knew about using the Amazon card. Helpful staff.
Very small, not much variety, I usually just buy fruit, employees are nice and very helpful, wish they'd get the water back up and running again
Great store with an excellent selection of fresh/organic products. It is best to go early to find a parking spot, lot is very small.
I am a happy customer.
My favorite place to shop!
Yeah this market is quite an experience some things have changed it looks like they took away a few things it's not the same as when they first opened up and had all of the product but it's doable.
Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Some things are a little pricey but fresh and healthy.
The bakery section is fantastic, well done bakery staff!
Very friendly service
I took a small cut in line
The hot food is nasty!
Great place to find brands of food not usually found in other grocery stores. The food selection is quite good, especially the deli.
I found all the goodies that I wanted and everything was good.
Great cashier..although I overheard a cashier stating his drawer had no pennies. There were informing the customers that they wouldn't be able to give them accurate change back do to this. Um....excuse me? Then Whole Foods should bite the cost of having no pennies, not the customer. Just my suggestion. And when does a grocery store run out of change?
Nice place to have a quick bite and relax in midtown. You can also shop great products
Went for 1 item and they had it. Glad to know and was out in no time.
Mm.mm everything was great as usual. Everything is great as usual. Glad that
Pretty all right for some things.
Practicing social distancing. Everyone pleasant and polite.
This place sucks. They are out of very basic ingredients. No cucumber or cilantro? The parking is a disaster. Avoid.
Great Store they have a variety of foods and Dry goods. Fresh Produce and Vegetables. Customer Parking and Service with a Smile
The Team Lead in the seafood area still had the sale price on the jumbo shrimp in the window but refused to give me the sale price until her manager was called. I was taken back by her attitude as though she was the owner of Whole Foods. Being cordial to all customers is priceless.
Wholefoods is always great, fresh produce, healthy alternatives to everyone's favorites, and Killer prepared foods. and now with the amazon prime deals, it really makes a big difference. This location is a little smaller than what I am used to, so if you go at peak hours, its a bit hard to get around, especially at the check out lines. I know the rest of the country doesn't move as fast as the north east, but maybe this place should take a small page out of their book. Some of the cashiers here move like molasses, which contributes a lot to the long lines. Otherwise, the place is clean and as always are awesome.
My favorite place to shop! Fresh produce, friendly staff, and a wide variety of prepared foods!
Prices are too high especially for poor people.
I love Whole Foods and I shop there frequently. However, the straws that are given when you purchase a smoothie is not right. Due to the straw being of a cardboard texture takes away the taste of the smoothies. Also, you’ve changed your smoothie bar which is great, but, you’ve changed the menu. Their are no fresh vegetables. Why did I wait 15 minutes waiting on my smoothie. I think more than 2 people need too work the smoothie bar.
Despite the changes due to Covid19, I still love Whole Foods. They have a healthy variety of foods that I can't get in the neighborhood stores. I'm addicted to the deli Chicken Salad.
Great hot food selection
They have a lot of good selection throughout the store. Hot & ready food,a small buffet style bar, creative bakery selections,a freshly made smoothie at the bar.seating areas to eat. Bathroom on 2nd floor, but there's an elevator. Things can add up quickly here, being expensive. Parking lot stays jammed. Best time to come is early morning or later in the evening
So nice to have a Whole Foods so close to Children's Hospital. We were able to get my daughter organic food that is not offered in a hospital setting. Also ate quite a few meals from here myself. All of their hot soups I tried were absolutely delicious! Five Stars! Their meal deals with a main course & two sides was not only tasty and healthy but very affordably priced! I wish I would have known sooner all the great options of ready-to-eat meals they offer, I would have eaten here everyday during our two week stay at the hospital! Thank you Whole Foods!
Whole foods is always great. This location is just very packed and close together. Understandable it's the city.
Good place to buy vegan food.
I love how it is catered to the city of Detroit. Register lights made from Motown 45's, cafe tables made from old car hoods, and murals of Detroit. Fresh local products, and if you shop right it doesn't have to be expensive. Shopping at Whole Foods can be as cheap as shopping at a Kroger and you get better quality and service.
Went to return something from Amazon an the line was long but they had speed perfectionism an the food looked delicious plus like the fact that they use paper instead of pastic
Such a Wonderful Place to go get Healthy ready to cook food as well as food that is already prepared that can be eaten right after u finish shopping while sitting in the car....
Ummm in the vegan section can you place the labels of ingredients on top instead of the bottom cuz it's hard to read as you get older on those plastic containers of food cuz even though I'm vegan i would like to see what I'm eating
I do my major shopping at this store.
Nice and clean next time I will check out the prices
A good grocery store with lots of organic options, but I wish they would have customers pack their own bags - the lines would move much faster if they did - and incentivize bag reuse more (stop double bagging, it's wasteful and unnecessary).
Always good food and atmosphere and service.
Good whole food shopping center.
Always a good time shopping here
Just hold to the standards -- even when it isn't easy , heck, because it isn't easy. I always enjoy my WF experience, especially when my favorite frozen dessert is stocked AND within my reach.
I was excited to be there, its been a while. They still have everything for all of us health contious folks and the ones who just want to try new things, whole foods has it! I just wish the cafe and smoothie section was open...
Great selection. Brings back memories of the original Whole Foods at 10th & Lamar in Austin, Texas.
I love the food in this store. You get to sample different items. The produce is awesome. Beautiful D Sale's. A little high worth it.
Went there to return an item I received through Amazon. The process was fast. I was in and out in less than three minutes.
Very pleasant staff. Found the croissants I liked.
Very busy, because it's one of the smaller stores, but I love shopping there. They have great vegan selections (especially cereals for the kids) and the prices are actually lower than the Ann Arbor store.
As you expect.
They always have what I need - gonna cost more but, ...
Fresh produce and fruits. They even have a salad buffet and hot food counter with pizza and sandwiches for lunch. And booths to sit and eat in the store
We love going the Whole Foods for what it is. It is just a grocery store so there's not too much to get excited about however for A top quality grocery store this place is absolutely fantastic. Their prices are very very good and they have an excellent hot bar if you ever need a good lunch or dinner and don't feel like cooking. We wish there was one over on the West side of the state but for some reason I only build them over by Detroit. Every time we're over that area we stop by and pick up some groceries as well as maybe even grabbing something quick to eat. Whole Foods is always 1 of those destinations which write a fine woman on vacation like Chicago or Florida we highly recommend it to everybody
Employees are always there to help, very knowledgeable. The atmosphere if the guest is amazing too.
Always a pleasure to shop here. The gal who checked me out was so cheerful & kind.
My very first time entering into a Whole Foods Market. The experience was short, yet very nice.
Priced out of there mind. Sorry this place has the highest prices I've ever seen. The staff didn't know what they had on hand. And they tried to tell me I eat wrong. So if you want to spend money you don't need to and have young people look down on you this is your place.
I like this location!
Classic whole foods.
Love the Food Love the service Will be back????
I don't know what the Fanfare is your prices are just too high and I hate food that's sold sitting open
Great location, clean and staff is always willing to answer questions. Very helpful.
I am giving 5-Stars to Jamye a Whole Foods employee/Star for Excellent Customer Service. She took the time to find a product for me, placed my call on hold(she answered after someone placed my call on hold for at least 4 minutes & never came back) & verified what I wanted was in stock. Wow! Customer Service still Exists!
The freshest produce, the best seafood. I've done pork chops all over and these are number one. They deliver now. It's a life changer
Nice experience. Small space, has the basics.
Smaller than I expected but still super nice staff and great vegetarian options
Hot bar is terrible! I had to beg staff to bring out more food. Soup was uncovered which made for a horrible presentation as it looked old and dry. Some of the staff are nice then others have a look of disgust that makes you not want to ask them anything. The hot bar and those who run the hot bar are a complete disappointment.
Hardly any friendly staff here, but I know friendly is too much to ask of Detroiters. I’m not even a talker or really a smiler but a “Hey, can I help you?” would be nice at this place. Well stocked & close by. That’s the only reason I unfortunately keep coming back.
Aside from the HIGH COST, I like this WHOLE FOODS.
Food is good and the chocolate butter cookies are to die for man oh man
Over priced.
Whole Foods Detroit. Cons: Crowdedness ... floor plan creates congestion at checkout very quickly. Bottle necking paths and isles. Contact sport shopping and squeezing past obstacles detracts from a typical Whole Foods experience. Small store compared to Ann Arbor. Pros: Clean and bright. Diverse crowd, Same quality, salad bar was very fresh. Employees are the greatest! Parking wasn't a problem.
Nice selection of things all the time, prices are a little high even with the Amazon discount
Just as nice as the store in the Fairfax district in Los Angeles but charging the same prices in Detroit is not good.
Post signage if you can’t use your Amazon credit card in store!!!!!!!! Drove over 30 minutes away from home just to use my QR code for my new Amazon credit card, spent over $200 in store (lots of stuff including non-organic produce is extremely over priced mind you), JUST TO FIND OUT THAT I COULDN'T EVEN USE IT AT CHECK-OUT! There is literally a giant electronic sign inside that reads “5% cash back with Amazon credit card purchase, or using your Amazon QR code,” yet I couldn’t even use my credit card QR code. I’m SOOOO incredibly disappointed and there is no signage saying I cannot use it. What a waste of my time & money. Was really looking forward to coming here in the future again too. Cashier was unhelpful as well- asked me to scan my QR code then told me I couldn’t use it for payment WHAT?! SOOOO UPSET! Ridiculous!!
Omar! You're doing a great job with that hot bar,v Jason! you're doing a great job at the pizza stand, Mia!, you're doing a great job in the deli. Nancy!, you're doing a great job in the bakery. All my children on the registers and in the Smoothie section!, you guys are doing a great job. Larry! "Whole Foods in Detroit" is doing a great job.
The Midtown Detroit Whole Foods is dirty, poorly maintained, not well stocked, and has a limited selection. The Detroit location is disappointing compared to locations in the suburbs or in other major cities like San Francisco, Miami, New York, etc.
The food was too high and picked over. Most of shelves empty. Over rated. Fruit salad $10 only for the rich in a Pandemic. Cheapest items a bottle of water.
This is my first time visiting Detroit and this Whole Foods is the first store I’ve been in. Let me tell you, it was POPPING. There were people EVERYWHERE stocking and making sure the place was in order. The food selection was as to be expected. The fresh food section was awesome. Despite there being tons of people everywhere, I was able to get all my groceries and get out in under fifteen minutes. The security here was also great!
They always have what l need when I come here. Good place to do your shopping at.
Great place for shopping variety!!!
I've seen a few rare items in here that I could get but the prices are a lil on the higher end. Spent $80 on a bag and a half of goods. A week supply!
Love wholefood the fruits n veggies are always fresh n they have my favorite garlic paste for my shawarmas????thanks whole food
Friendly atmosphere. Workers assistance available always. A wide variety of fresh fresh organic fruits and veggies. Health and beauty items. Bakety and deli area. Frozen foods and dairy products. A wide range of beverages as well as wines. Plants and some other outside items are at entrance of building in the parking lot.
Great food and salads
Always great customer service.
Very nice customer service will definitely recommend
Great food and Service
Parking was good. Selection was good too considering what Whole Foods is. The location is good for me. Workers tend to be more helpful and pleasant than the norm. The only downsides are the really high prices, frequent slow flow at the checkout, and lack of baggers. A lot of alternative products though.
Very nice and clean And my daughter love the cook food and groceries are Keep in order everything is nice
That parking lot is starting to get violent. It’s way too small for a Whole Foods. Not really worth the trip anymore.
They answered right away and directed me where I could purchase my product.
Long lines down the aisles and incompetent staff
Nice whole foods, I got there at 7:30 one day and didn't realize they open at 8 and the security guard told me I couldn't park my car there until 8 so I went to work. Pretty rude. Would have waited until 8 to pick up the few things I needed before work. Otherwise like any whole foods, good items, great produce, $$$
So happy Detroit has more health conscious stores. This is wonderful. The new directions start and are fueled with good nutrition.
Excellent selection,moderate prices.
Great store. Found everything I was looking for. Employees are nice. I like how they offer self checkout. Highly recommend
Love it! Cool vibe.
It's a well kept store with a good appearance and has a very good selection of healthy foods. The 365 brand which is their own brand is a good deal, some of the other stuff is overpriced. The staff is friendly and helpful
Whole foods....still over priced and over rated...cherry vanilla soda was completely out of stock..my sons favorite...needed vanilla extract for French toast, $39.99 for a 2 or 4 oz bottle ????...whole foods doesn't seem to be a practical grocery store for monthly, weekly, or shopping for more than one person...its more like a pick up quick 1 - 3 items...5 max and that still totals about $40+dollars...
Greg store location friendly people everything you look for and if they don't have it they will recommend somewhere for you
Great selection.. You can find foods here which may be hard to find anywhere else. High quality
Great location for a Whole Food store. Although this used to be my favorite Whole Foods I know sadly we'll discontinue shopping here. For the last four visits they have not had any items on my list. They say they are busy and sell out.
Food is fresh, hot and there is a bounty full of variety. Wide selection of groceries, unique products, friendly staff. Two stars for personal reasons, I guess things that would only impact me or someone in my situation. Eating in the parking lot.....Whole Foods is no money saving meal, it can sometimes cost a pretty penny. I work on the road, use my phone a lot for calls, incoming and outgoing, that is my lunch everyday, it is annoying and bothersome to others around you when you have to be on the phone. If I purchase food from Whole Foods, I should be able to eat it sitting in the parking lot in my car, not told that I must leave right away. I understand that the grocery store parking lot is not considered an actual parking lot although why is it okay that I sit inside for an hour and eat my food or sit outside on the benches for a hour or more..by the way " it is WINTER" tho I cannot eat the food I bought from the store in my vehicle. Please NOTE that after I eat I directly take off. I will no longer visit this Whole Foods and gladly visit several other well respected Detroit grocery stores or restaurants. I have also showed the security guard receipts of my purchase from Whole Foods and asked him this is exact question of how this makes any sense... They just tell you to go.
Had plenty of plexiglass to protect customers and workers. Easy safe shopping.
Great hot food bar!!
The shopping is a total experience in healthy eating!
23 Employees have tested positive for Covid-19 as of February 25th, 2021. Get rid of management and start over. Masks go OVER your nose, the staff here don't care. None of the employees are wearing masks properly. Most of the customers are not either. This place will have cases of COVID-19 very soon. Take your corporate auto response and throw it away. Your store is going to get people killed! Wake up and do your job safely, or go home and spare the world from more death.
So glad to have the Whole Foods here. Yes, the parking can be busy, and options are less compared to the ones in suburbs, but I still appreciate the store being in Detroit so that I can stop by here quickly and get most of the things I need instead of driving 30 minutes out to suburbs. FYI Amazon credit card can be used here. I use it here all the time and never had an issue with it.
I had never shopped there and I probably won't ever go back I don't get the hype I wanted to buy some noodles and they were $5 a bag that in a regular supermarket would have been $1.50
Friendly staff, great variety, clean store, a little pricey
Always good stuff, but you pay the price for it.
Always a pleasure the prices are expensive you should not have to be penniless to eat healthier. When you live on a fixed income it's not that easy. I love the store as well as the staff.
Love the verity of food
I was returning an Amazon package and the young lady and young man was amaaziing!
The store is too small to serve the community. It was too small when it 1st opened. The company underestimated the need for the store. I visited to make an Amazon return. Thank GOD my husband was with me to stand in the line outside the door while I, a member of the Disabilities Community, waited in my car for him to approach the head of the que. Once inside & directed somewhere, we asked several times where to go, including while standing at the unmanned counter for...Amazon Returns. The return process itself was easy enough, but no receipt was provided for the return. When I asked I was told, I would get a receipt in my online account. The UPS store gives me a receipt, I've never had to stand in line to get in & even if there are people ahead of me, the process is quicker. I can't afford Whole Foods, so I think I'll continue using UPS to make my Amazon returns.
Love the discounts on many items. Good quality on fruit and vegetables.
Nice to have a grocery store in downtown.
I love Whole Foods. I don't think I've been to any other than the Deteoit location so I can't compare to the rest. However, I will say the prices are actually quite a bargain most of the time if you were to go to Better Health Market, or any other local health food store. The people are super friendly and helpful. Hungry? Stop at the hot bar or salad bar. Everything I've tried was delicious. Chicken fried tofu? Yes, please! Don't even get me started on how awesome it is that you can mix and match salad items and hot items because they're one price per lb ($8 I think?). They'll make you pizza too! Grab and go cold case! Ok, I'm done. ????
Fresh produce, friendly staff
Little pricey you can get pretty much same stuff at Kroger for half the price
I had surgery about a month ago and since then haven't had the energy to really cook how I like to cook while I'm on the mend. So I decided to treat myself and have a hot lunch at Whole Foods Detroit. I savored EVERY bite. It was the most tastiest, well seasoned, well prepared food I've had in months. It reminded me of the type of food my mom and grandmother used to make when I was a kid. Like you know it was made with love and care JUST for you. My compliments to the prepared meals chefs.
I enjoy shopping at their Deli especially the hot food items and the flowers are nice too!!
Smaller than Ann arbor location. Got in and out quick and everything I was looking for was in stock.
Love this place, customer service is excellent! The young man who helped me was very polite and informative, wish most people who work in a store like this, would be able to answer your questions like I was helped in this store. And he also informed me that they were having a sale the next weekend, bagged up some of my things, because I needed to by a couple items right then, and saved the rest for me to get the sale rate that next weekend! Wow! Never had that happen to me! ???? This how I looked when I left the store. ???? You go guy's ! You're number 1 in my books.
Good selections
This is my new spot for a lot of my healthy foods and herbs and spices. Very clean and convenient and affordable. Even the line for social distancing outside to get into Whole Foods was moving fast. I encourage you to visit.
A little strange at first. I wasn't used to atmosphere or layout of the market. A lot to take in. So much in such a small place. Got lost from my party looking and reading things. It was different for me.
Before I rant I have to say that the floor staff here are amazing. Store management, not so much. I was turned away without my groceries today, despite having ID and payment. Their card machines couldn't read my card, and apparently this store has elected a policy of not allowing anyone, including managers, to manually enter in CC info. Afterwards I called customer service and was told that this policy was not standard across WF, that is is up to the discretion of the store. I have two guesses why the Detroit location has this policy, they begin with rac and class and both end with ism. Thank you for reminding me to spend my money elsewhere.
Had a amazon return was very easy
I have never written a review, but I never thought I would get food poisoning from a whole foods. I love whole foods generally because it is an easy go-to when traveling with lots of healthy snacks and a great salad bar. I should have been wary when getting turkey from behind the counter because it was displayed like it had been there for a few days but I was hungry and in a hurry. I ate it and was so sick an hour later. My only suggestion is to just be careful with the prepared food at this location. Everything else is great.
They always have fresh veggies and fruit...finally have self checkout and there's hardly ever a long wait in the other lines
I was like a tourist, so many things to purchase.
THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION. We waited 25 minutes for a smoothie Sunday morning, Feb. 16th. 25 minutes!!!!!! The worst part was that workers looked like they could care less that they were making patrons wait this long.
Had no idea they validate parking in the adjacent parking structure until recently. So convenient and thoughtful!
One of the smaller stores , somethings were hard to find . Workers are so Into the work they don’t notice or listen out when someone Is asking / looking for help .
This market is going down it never has anything some shelves is bare its not like it used to be when it first open they're overpriced I have been to other fresh food markets and the prices isn't nearly high is this market
It's a mini version of a typical whole foods. Around dinner there seems to be always someone hogging up the hot food bar, whether it be by loading their trays with all the available Mac and cheese or by not comprehending that others will move around you to get what they want when you stop at the tray of pork just staring at it for 5 minutes. The cashiers aren't very friendly but the other employees are nice. They have a good selection of teas and coffees to grab and go with, and I love the outdoor seating.
Great environment for the local Detroit I hope they get more better products and stay open longer I really enjoy whole foods cuz it teach you a better way of eating food and fresh fruits and vegetables although very high it is very nice. ????????????????????‼️????
