Bad customer service ! I tried to contact them multiple times through phone and emails but no one respond properly . I went to the store personally and they made me sure that the manager will call me to take my order but no one contacted me next day and when I called they said they can not take my order. Then why the lady in the store told me that you do not need to go anywhere else as we will squeeze you for sure to take your order! At the end , I did not get any response from them and I couldn’t get a cake from anywhere else because of their fake promise.I am so disappointed.

Unfortunately am not a fan based on most items that I got. Especially the cannoli and their cream. It tastes of vegetable oil based cream which has a weird after taste and texture compared to real whipped cream. Their cappuccino Nanaimo bar had the nanaimo bar's rich creamy texture but didn't have much of a coffee flavour. Their mocha slice was a decent size which was impressive but the cream again, I wasn't a fan. And the actual sponge cake lacked flavour and had an odd dry texture. I also tried their cannoli which may have been out for some time because the cannoli shell was just soft, lost its crispness. The large eclair had a nice chocolate coating and filled with custard cream which tasted like custard made from custard powder. I much prefer custard filling from Tim's to this. I can give two stars because the Portuguese custard tarts were great. The tart shell was nicely crisp with the filling baked well and overall good flavour. It tasted really nice. I highly recommend these tarts. Delicious!

I had a good experience with this place. I found the owners very genuine and nice people. The cake I got for my daughter’s birthday tasted great (anything I didn’t like in the cake I didn’t eat - I’m a picky eater, the rest of my family was fine with everything). It was one of their pre-made chocolate cakes. I think the cakes have a nice balance of the layers and they aren’t overly sweet or heavy. I would be going back and trying their other cakes:)

I stopped by and was looking for a beautiful cake for my mother’s 50th birthday. They had so many options that it was so hard to choose. I chose the tiramisu in the end and some small pastry’s for the guests. The cake was nice and fresh and the pastries were excellent. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

I was recommended this place by a friend as I am visiting out of town and I came yesterday to pastry place to get some treats for the first time and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful. The young girl who works there was very helpful and polite, she answer all my questions. The items I got were delicious and fresh. WOW!! the owner Ali is amazing ! I hope he makes my cakes every time ! I can’t lie, someone messed up the first cake I ordered there and made it wrong and he gave me a whole new cake for free, personally made by him ! I appreciate that! Awesome bakery. Their Chocolate Mousse cake is the most delicious chocolate mousse cake I have ever tasted. It is the kind of dessert that you would find and enjoy in a high end restaurant.

If I could I wouldn’t give any stars because they deserve none! I just called today to order a cake for Sunday. As soon as I said I need a cake a woman with accent said to me they can’t make cake because it is late order. And than she started asking me questions what kind of cake I want, by doing that she was rising my hope that she might accept the order. As I was explaining what I want and how I want it she was trying to change what I want and was giving suggestions what I should do. That was very pushy and unprofessional as saying she can’t take the order and than cutting me off for this reason. I asked that cake have minnie mouse photo on thop. And leyers of the cake to be black and red just for all of that to go together and put food colouring. SHE SAID TO ME HOW ARE YOU GOING TO EAT CAKE YOUR ALL MOUTH WILL BE BLACK “ I said why do you care I will eat the cake. SHE GOT MAD AND SAID “HONEY I CANT MAKE YOU A CAKE GO AHEAD AND CALL SOMEBODY ELSE’´ I don’t recommend this place to anyone because they are highly unprofesional. VERY RUDE WORKERS AND THE LOWEST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER!!! WANTED TO ADD THAT REVIEWS ARE FAKE HERE !

After checking the internet for phone numbers for bakeshops in Windsor that make pies I ordered coconut cream pie, as I did not have time to make "Mile High Coconut Cream Pie" (recipe from my mother and grandmother) and asked about meringue topping not cream. Young lady took my order no problem. She confirmed the meringue on top so I ordered 2 pies and paid via credit card. When I picked up the pies the older lady showed me the pie and I mentioned there was no meringue. She said that was the order. Baffled I drove home and the grandsons were not impressed with the taste of the pie OR it not having meringue topping. Phoned back the next morning, older lady answered and said "the menu on website shows coconut cream pie without meringue (no description of pie just photo and no size of pie) AND with a rude voice said "that is why it is called Coconut Cream". Needless to say I was NOT Impressed with the older lady, her attitude or not being told they do not put meringue on coconut cream pie because I would never have ordered the pies to start with! I will never order another pie from The Pastry Place & Bake Shop. Here's a tip don't enter your coconut cream pie in any pie baking competition. Out of five stars the pie is one star and the older lady would rate 0 out of 5 for customer relations.

I have been buying these cakes for over 50 yrs and now they have exchanged real whip cream for vegetable based cream. I called to complain when I got home and excuse was the hot summer temps. The price for small cake is $25 and it’s only grocery store quality at best. No offer to exchange or refund. Lost a customer.

This bakery is superb! I have ordered many times and each time the order has been delicious, available on time, and so beautifully executed! From special cakes, to custom cupcake designs, fresh baked cheesecake and to die for brownies! The canolies are tremendous as well! Ali and his staff are exceptional! Thank you so much ????

Every time my son visits from Toronto, I go to The Pastry Place for their fabulous "carrot cake" and " butter tarts". Their cakes are also excellent too - great for special occasions! I had called to order a cake and the lady was very abrupt and rude on the phone. I had asked whether it was possible to replace the chocolate mousse filling with the same buttercream that’s used to ice the outside of the cake and she said no, we don’t change our cakes ever because it’ll taste bad. I’ve never been to a bakery where a cake can’t be customized making me think they’re pre-made. Regrettably I ordered it anyways and the cake wasn’t very good at all. I remember the chocolate windmill from TBQ used to be so delicious as a kid! We also picked up some pastries while we were there and they also seemed to be older and hard. This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience at this bakery since I believe every person or business can have an off day, but after this I definitely will never return!

I had 2 date pastries, a bit dry, but I liked how they're made. The butter tart was good, the pastry dough good , but I would have liked to taste the butter. That's hard considering today's butter lacks flavour in my opinion. The white bread was fresh, tasty and had a soft chewy texture. It was molded like French bread and it was really good. I'll go back. I've been back a couple of times and in my opinion the cakes and cakes slices are the best. I have had a few cake slices and found them to be tasty, fresh and flavorful. I also likes the soft french bread because it is good for dipping in soup.

My husband and I just moved to the Windsor area recently and we have been trying to find a decent bakery. We happened upon this one quite by chance and what a stroke of good luck it was. The first time we went there; we were charmed by the owner's old world hospitality. We got some baklava and date squares to start and it was a taste sensation. The following time we ordered their Strawberry Romanoff cake. When we opened the box, we were amazed at the sheer beauty of it. It looked too nice to eat. Still, when we ate some of it--we were so very glad. The person who made the cake is not just a baker but an artisan as well as a baker. The ingredients in the cake were balanced and there wasn't too much of anything--especially sugar. The ingredients flowed together seamlessly. Eating this cake was like reading a great book that you don't want to end; but when you finish it you go back to it again, and again and again. This is the case with The Pastry Place And More. We will be going back there again and again and again.We would give this wonderful establishment more than 5 stars if we could. Don't miss out folks. Go there right now or order a cake. You won't regret it.

I got the birthday cake for my wife. Mine was strawberry custard cake. We loved the cake. One of the best cakes we have had in Detroit Windsor region. I also got he macarons for decorating the cake as well. Sadly macarons were not as great as the cake. I didn't like them at all.

I ordered a cake from The Pastry Place for my sons 6th birthday. I had sent them a picture online of the cake I was looking to get done and they responded quickly. Upon picking the cake up and seeing it for the first time, The amount of detail that was put into the cake was absolutely stunning. The picture I sent in was identical to the cake they made for me. The owner greeted me with a smile and was extremely kind, and even offered to help load the cake in my vehicle. A beautiful little bakery and a wonderful experience, I truly look forward to our next visit !

My favorite, banana cream pie reminds me soo much of Saturday late night dessert and coffee at the Tunnel BBQ. I ordered wedding cake and I literally ate an breakfast raspberry jam instead of eating my customized cake. The cake was full of whipped cream and the layers of cake were thick and almost no strawberries in it. Additionally, after a day, when I wanted to eat, the cake was dry and hard. It did not worth my money at all. I was so disappointed on my special day. This is not a place to order a cake. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I couldn't taste the flavor because of the intense whipped cream and a small amount of custard. The place avoided to use main cake ingredients that I LITERALLY ORDER. PLEASE USE THE INGREDIENTS, DON’T BE SCARED TO USE THEM! I COULD HAVE MADE THIS CAKE AT MY PLACE. Don’t try to fool people.
