So I'm quite late with this review but as the saying goes "better late than never". I ordered a custom made 1 tier cake from S R B S in July 2021 form my wedding and I absolutely loved the result. The cake was beautiful,simple but elegant and very delicious. All our guests were complementing the cake, even though I picked the flavors it's the Sweet Revenge Bake Shop employees who made it so they deserve all the credits. The only thing i was not really a fan of was that it was very pricey. But you know what they say if you want quality you need to pay for quality. I will definitely do business with them again. Keep up with the excellent service!

Not seeing any of her favorite products in the display (lots of good stuff though) the clerk offered to make The unicorn cupcakes my daughter adores while I waited. The Birthday girl was in love. Went into the shop on Wyandotte today (Super Bowl Sunday) The girl who helped me - I wish I would've got her name was great! She helped me pick out a few different things. Our faves were the pb brownies, nutella cheesecake and unicorn cupcakes - these were adorable!! Would definitely recommend - great customer service and tasty desserts!

Incredibly disappointed with sweet revenge bake shop. We ordered from the Wyandotte location and picked up a cake and sweet tray for a small wedding from the Lesperance location today. The appearance of the baked goods in the store were amateur. The macaroons in the glass case appeared deflated, uneven, and rough. We paid $30 for a sweet tray we were told would feed 20-30 people. It had 22 items on it, 15 of which were of a very low quality appearance - think fundraiser cookies you buy from your kid's school. I wish I could post a picture here, but I'll post it on their yelp page. When I called in to complain, all the owner did was make excuses and didn't offer a single solution. The level of service and response to our dissatisfaction was unacceptable and appalling. A wedding is a special occasion, and at a minimum, you should be able to expect that the baked goods should at the very least appear appetizing. These treats certainly did not, and their were far too few of them. I won't be returning, and I hope this shop can find a way to deliver a product their proud of, and create a culture of responsive customer service. In the interest of fairness, I will say that the wedding cake looks "okay", but we haven't tasted it yet. Don't make the mistake of ordering from Sweet Revenge. I recommend Shelby's Sweet Shoppe or Blaks Bakery. Or just go to Costco.

Update: There's now a little coffee shop inside called 30ml. You have to pre-order cakes at least a few days ahead of time. There's a nice selection of baked goods at the counter, and the lady I spoke with was very nice. Prices are what you'd expect for handmade baked goods, and is a better option than buying pre-boxed from the store. I recommend visiting this place for a nice way to spoil your family. It would be nice if there was some seating for customers.

The cakes they make are quite pretty and nicely designed. Although the cakes are a bit pricey, it’s expected to be that way if you order a customized cake with custom flavours and fillings. The only downside to this bake shop is that the cake itself was way too sweet. It’s hard to eat more than a couple bites simply because the sugar and sweetness is so overpowering to the point that you can’t even taste the cakes own flavour. I had ordered a custom cake with “birthday cake” batter, a cookie dough filling, and fondant; frankly I couldn’t even tell which was cake, fondant, and filling because it was like eating sugar out of a bowl. Cute cakes though!

I am absolutely shocked!!! I used to love this bakery. I used to tell everyone how awesome it was, so of course I wanted my cake and macaroons from here. Our wedding got moved 2 times due to covid. As if we don’t have enough stress dealing with it I call the bakery doing our cake and they say the deposit is only good for one year I have to pay a new deposit and be on a wait list so no guarantees. As if covid is my fault. It’s not the money it’s the principal. A bakery I talked highly about. I am absolutely shocked. The girl I talked to on the phone was super rude and didn’t know any of the procedures for the wedding cakes. Finally a manager called me said I swore at her staff which I didn’t and was super nice too and left me emails saying I will be on a wait list. Needless to say They can keep My $100 deposit I’ll take my $2000 elsewhere. The customer service is terrible now. I’m all for supporting small business but they have to be decent with customer service.

I ordered a cake for my grandson's birthday and it was gorgeous! They did an amazing job with the artwork done from a picture I gave them. It was beautiful but I didn't expect it to taste good, too!! Usually store-bought cakes are gross and icky-sweet and the icing inedible, but Sweet Revenge produced a cake that tasted home-made, with delicious butter cream frosting that wasn't overly sweet. Perfection.

Just had one of the best birthday cakes I've ever had from here! A rich chocolatey Oreo cake with Reeces. I'm pretty sure I need to get my blood sugar checked after this - but it was completely 100% worth it. Keep up the good work guys! Can't wait to try your goodies again!

I requested a birthday cake for my friend's birthday a day prior and the lady at the store (Sorry, forgot her name) was able to accommodate my request at a short notice. The payment was collected via a credit card over the phone which saved me the trouble of physically being present at the store. I'm not sure if it is mentioned on the website, but if you're looking to order a custom cake (Flavour, style, etc) you should do so a week in advance. The cake itself was quite nice, Cheers!

Wow ! What can I say, it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, was able to communicate via email in a efficient manner, able to send pics in of our suggestions and theme. We went with Sesame Street theme two tier cake. We did buttercream with fondant decorations and edible images. We choose a rainbow sprinkle vanilla cake with strawberry filling and wow! Talk about not only look amazing the cake was moist and the icing wasn’t too sweet and oh so fluffy ! Have been going to Sweet Revenge for all my families Cakes for showers and birthdays for years now and they never disappoint !

Ordered a cake for a baby shower and it was amazing!!! Showed them a picture of what we wanted, described the cake topper we wanted and let them know exactly how we wanted the cake decorated and they delivered on all counts! Plus, and most important, it tasted awesome!! Guests at the shower asked where we got the cake as everyone was impressed. Will definitely come back for our next event!!

The owner and staff went above and beyond and the result was nothing less than perfection. I had ordered a cake elsewhere and they bailed last minute, and sweet Revenge made the cake within 24 hours. The cake tasted amazing and was extremely impressive.

I've been there a few times and all the ladies I met there have been lovely! I ordered a special cake for my mother's birthday, a "Coach purse" cake. I gave her an approximate design and colours and they did such a fabulous job! We almost didn't want to eat it! It had fondant of course but it wasn't heavy or super sweet that you couldn't eat it; it was surprisingly light tasting for fondant! Cake flavour was strawberries (yes real strawberries) and cream with white cake; it was super delicious & light & was perfect for a spring birthday! Their cupcakes are delicious, their cookies even more so (Snickers type cookies are a MUST-try)! And the macaroons, omg, those were spectacular! I plan to order some for my bridal shower! I love that they try to cater to those who want vegan or gluten free products as well. Just wonderful atmosphere & a passionate energy about their products, satisfying customers and their pallettes!

Not only was I very impressed with the craftsmanship in the cake I ordered, I was also very impressed with the level of service I received. After consulting with staff on the phone and with pictures over Facebook Messenger, the quote given to me was way out of my budget (I am very unfamiliar with pricing for cakes). When I asked what we could do to alter the design to be more cost-effective the manager, Angel, was very helpful and gave several different options, giving her opinion on what would still look good. I was glad that we could find a solution within my budget that was still very impressive to look at and delicious!

The cake tasted good, however the customer service was awful. The staff needs to be more properly trained and everyone needs to know what is the policy and what is going on. I went in a few days earlier to pay off the remainder of my cake (in the case that someone else picked up my cake they wouldn’t have to pay for it). They had the day of my event for the wrong date, therefore luckily I went in so we could change that. When I was paying for it I asked the lady when I had to bring the floral in for my cake, she simply said have the person who is picking it up bring it in and we can put it on quickly before you take it. Perfect I though, however sweet revenge calls me on the Friday asking where my floral was? I explained what I was told and they said absolutely not, that is not how it works. So now I had to quickly contact my florist and ensure she could deliver it a day earlier. Now remember how I said I went to pay of the remaining balance of my cake, well guess what! On Sunday when my uncle went to pick up the cake they tried to charge him the remaining balance again. Kept saying it wasn’t paid for, even though I ensured they write it on my order form that it was in fact paid on full. Needless to say this experience wasn’t sweet at all and was a complete disaster.

I don't often write google reviews, but because I was so exceptionally impressed I wanted to give this bakery 5 stars. I wanted a custom birthday cake made for my girlfriend. The woman at the counter was nice and took note of what I was asking for. She asked me many details that customised the cake. When I picked it up, I was very impressed by the amount of creativity that went into it and how it looked. My girlfriend was very happy with her birthday cake and I would highly recommend this bake shop to anyone looking for a customised cake, as the staff are very skilled artistically at what they do

I used to love this bake shop! Not sure what happened to them but the prices went up and all the "squares" and brownies got cut in half simultaneously.... I was okay with it at first even tho I was shocked to be paying more for half the product I was receiving before the location move, but after multiple times receiving old dried out cupcakes I have decided to move on to other bakeries.

I came in the shop not knowing how I wanted the cake and cupcakes to look but she helped me out. She was also very patient with me and my million requests. Ordered a cake for a baby shower. Very expensive, but it was a week before the event and I did not have time to use a less expensive option. Cake looked great, really beautiful, but buttercream was almost sickly sweet. Had a "cookie sandwich" from the display case, same good looks and little flavor other than sugar. So beautiful presentation but I won't order again since taste was only meh, especially for the price.

They did my wedding cake, I got many compliments on the look and taste. My sister in law from Toronto asked who made it so she can order from here for her daughters first birthday. It was very moist and flavorful compared to the taste cakes we tried. We had a 3 tier with red velvet, lavender berry lemon, and strawberry champagne. Everyone was impressed. Thank you guys.

Hit and miss. They are strange. Lacking in basic people skills for sure. They made some pretty snide comments about how they are really more into catering and cakes rather than walk in traffic. So close the retail part of the store! But no, now they sell Ice Cream too. Cant get anymore small walk in traffic than ice cream. I dont think they know what they want to do or be. The prices are EXTREMELY high. This is Windsor with Windsor rents but they are charging more than Manhattan prices. They did have some fairly good items but many changed for the worse getting simply way to sweet. No one needs two cookies with 1" of super sweet icing in the middle. You end up not tasting anything but super sugary icing. Things are not always fresh. My wife liked the cupcakes but we stopped going as to often they were stale. Tried the Banana bread once and it was not very good or moist. Plus again they have to add either chocolate or cinnamon on top. Way to much going on. Banana bread itself should be delicious. Adding icing and chocolate is just ruining it with busy sugar overload. The staff is super strange and just plain doesn't listen. "We dont sell that kind" I was told once ordering a cupcake. Its right there I said "oh I though you meant cookie" ..... stuff like that pretty much every time. So the stale goods and strange staff made it a give up and stay away for us. They dont need us anyway as in their own words " they are into catering and large cakes really" not the storefront/retail sales. Tried them for a cake. Mistake. Overcooked. Brown all around edges and not moist.

Disappointed and not professional, I had messaged on facebook to see how I go about making appointment to book for my wedding or even to see if they were available. I got an email to send my questions to and I never got an email back nor did I get a message on facebook following up. I had to message on facebook a week and a half after I had sent the email to see if they are replying to email and all I was asked which email I sent it to and when I told them which email, I still never got a reply. I understand businesses are busy but when you give a customer an email to send there questions to, you should be on top of that email to keep your customers. Bad customer service.

I also had the exact same experience with the ethics and this company's dishonest practices that Justin B had 2 weeks ago. I ordered a cake online for my wife's birthday. I called to confirm pickup on her birthday. They told me that a glitch in their online system allowed cake orders because of a cupcake sale, and that my order would not be ready that day. When I asked for a refund, they refused and said I could only get store credit or a gift card. When my wife, on her birthday, called them back and insisted we get a refund, they said they would refund my purchase and that it would take 5 business days. This was two weeks ago and my refund has not happened. I have had to call my credit card company to start a dispute. Do NOT order from this unscrupulous business! Fortunately, Bad Witch Bakery down the street saved my wife's birthday, and even apologized for another business treating us this way. Zero apology from Sweet Revenge. This is just plain theft at this point. You would think that during a pandemic, a business that has been able to remain open would treat their customers better. Not in this case.

Horrible management, horrible service. The owner is very immature. I spoke to her in person and gave her a printed picture of what I want exactly, however, she goes and makes a completely different cake for me because she thinks she knows better. When I say completely different, I'm not exaggerating. Different cake, different colours, different style. When I asked why it was so different than what I had asked for, she said, "creative freedom". She didn't apologize for what she did. Did nothing about at all. She offered to repair, and she repaired it by making it messy and still not what I asked for. To top it all off, the cake was paid for fully in advance. They were supposed to charge my visa for half the amount when I placed the order, but they end up taking the full amount. So they basically lied to me. Very disappointed with their service. The owner has no self respect, evident by the manner in which she spoke to me.

Ordered and received a beautiful cake for Easter. Sadly what was supposed to be a lemon berry cake tasted extremely one dimensional and only like bland vanilla - not even a hint of lemon and the only berry flavour came from the blackberry garnish. So bummed to have spent over $55 for a cake that went largely uneaten due to its disappointing taste. Cupcakes and macarons are always good here it’s a shame the cake really missed the mark.

Sweet Revenge is fantastic! I absolutely adore their work. We celebrated our wedding last month and our sweets were made by Sweet Revenge. Everything was delicious and looked beautiful. They also make gluten free, we had gluten free mini cake and macarons and our guests loved them! They even provide little signs to name their products. I definitely know where to go when I need to order a cake! From their products I recommend snickers cookie, that is my absolute favorite! Also the staff is very friendly and helpful and their service is great. We had absolutely no idea what kind of a wedding cake we want but with Saskias help we were able to chooce the right flavour and style. Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect.

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time Sweet Revenge has made my order incorrect and disappointed on a special occasion. -The red velvet cupcakes itself tasted absolutely flavourless with no sugar at all. -They put whipped icing when it should have been cream cheese icing. -I asked for edible paper when placing the order and got fondant instead (was charged extra for the fondant I didn’t ask for) -Gave examples of the brand names I wanted on the cupcakes and they didn’t choose any of the examples and chose their own, also only did brands on 50% of the cupcakes for some reason. -The owner was supposed to call back to follow up but never did. Threw them in the garbage. After being a loyal customer for 5 years I will not be returning ever.

Ordered cupcakes and a cake for a party. Extremely overpriced for what we got. Quality was not good at all. The cupcakes were hard as if they were stale/old or overcooked. The cake was bland. The only good thing was the icing. Everything ended up in the garbage as no one liked it. Very disappointed and will not come back here.

I ordered a cake and cupcakes for my daughter’s first birthday. I was told it came with a complimentary smash cake. When I went to pick up my order, they didn’t give me the smash cake. (I had three very large boxes with the cake and cupcakes) When I got home, I discovered they hadn’t given me the smash cake and called. I was told they would deliver the cake the next day in time for the party and to send them my address on Facebook. Once I sent the message they said they no longer could deliver, and asked if I still wanted them to make it. They never even made the cake! When I told them how disappointing this was, they responded by telling me it’s a complementary cake. As if that meant it didn’t matter. It was part of the order, and we had planned on it for pictures. My husband had to drive a two hour round trip the next morning to pick it up. The cupcakes we’re VERY dry, the outside was crispy. And the cake had more filling than cake. Way too sweet and no one could finish even a small piece. The cake looked beautiful, but everything else was terrible.

BEST CUPCAKES! There is something special about Sweet Revenge cupcakes. I've purchased them for a few family events, and they're always a hit. I even did some tastings at other bakeries around town JUST to make sure before our last celebration, and no one compared! Sweet Revenge is also very professional to deal with. No need to look further.

They have really, really good cupcakes here!! They are fresh and moist and they have such a wide variety to choose from. The icing is awesome, not too sweet and not overkill. I highly recommend Sweet Revenge!

When it comes to taste I want to give this place 5 stars! ... but the customer service and attention to detail really lacked in the past orders this year. For Valentine’s Day they lost my online order and I received a cake just made that completely fell apart when cut into that night and the macaroons were pulled from the shelf rather than fresh ones ???? As for our wedding, we chose them to do the whole dessert table... I would suggest anyone who goes here, to make sure you visit the bakery 2 days before the event to go through the details with the baker or owner because what I asked for... didn’t happen! I wanted all white and gold decorated donuts and cookies to match the theme and they just made they’re regular ones. This made me wonder if they forgot about them and these were regular donuts from the store? I asked for flowers to cover the white cake and I got one lol with a large finger mark on the front side of the cake too ???? ... I think the only thing gold was the macaroon cone which looked so out of place. It’s my wedding so I had to get over that quite quickly lol ... all in all, your prices should reflect the end result... spent over $1000 and wasn’t completely impressed as I was at the wedding show. Reply to comment **Just to make things clear, I emailed you a week after the wedding with no response back. So Yes, I did contact you directly but you ignored my email.

First time in the shop. Have had treats that others picked up and they were fantastic! I’m not sure if this is a call ahead place, but there didn’t seem to be a large variety for walk in. The girl working at the time wasn’t overly friendly with us or the lady in front of us. I still found the treats that my son picked out to taste amazing and he always wants to go back and look for more. Excellent quality

I ordered two cakes. One for my mother in law & one for my 3 yr old. The cakes were beautiful and tasty. The ladies were kind & professional. While their work is very good, be prepared for a pricey purchase. Two six inch cakes was $145.

Ordered my engagement cake and the design was beautiful, custard was good but there was more icing then cake. I paid almost $200 for literally buttercream and the thinest layers of cake ,and the cake itself was dry and was falling apart. Never ordering a cake from here again .

I had my wedding cake baked by Sweet Revenge Bake Shop. I was a little worried at first because when I had my cake tasting, there was some miscommunication and some of the cupcakes were stale. That said, they were very responsive to my concerns, and arranged a second tasting for me, which went much better. My wedding cake was beautiful and tasted great. The service here is really bad. I've gone about every week for a couple months, hoping for improvement, but today I just walked out without buying anything. No one greeted me. There was an employee talking with some people about a cake order. I stood in front of the display case and waited. She never said that someone would be with me shortly. I stood. A woman came out from the back TWICE and never acknowledged me or sent someone to wait on me. I will not be going back...ever!

I’m extremely disappointed in my first time to the bakery... I went to get the vegan paczkis that they advertised on their facebook page. They said they were open at 8am, walk-ins only for packzis. So I was waiting outside at 8am... only to be told that the vegan ones would not be ready until after 11am! So, not wanting to seem rude, I purchased two regular paczkis for my family.... they were expensive and they were so small! Barely fit in my hand and had hardly any filling in them... that’s not a paczki. And especially not a $3.50 paczki! I will NOT be returning and I am SO disappointed in this place!

Terrible. Ordered a cake for our girl's first birthday. I went to pick up my order, which was fully paid for in advance, and the order was not prepared!! They ended up delivering a cake to our house ( not the flavour that we wanted) and the topper said " happy 4th birthday ".... Just terrible, no apologies, no refund, no discount... Let's just mention how incredibly sweet their cake and icing are... Sorry but nothing positive to say about sweet revenge. Highly disappointed.

I rarely feel compelled to write a review, but for the experience I just had, I will make an exception. I ordered cupcakes online for my Wife's birthday (who is celiac/gluten free). I have personally had gluten free cupcakes from this bakery & their website notes "Our vegan and gluten-free options also ensure everybody gets a treat"... Great... I placed my order online, then called a mere hour and a half after placing to confirm the gluten free wasn't an upcharge and that I paid an acceptable amount. Upon calling they said that they no longer offer gluten free(which isn't a big issue); however, instead of simply cancelling my order and refunding my money, they insisted that since it is not their fault, they would ONLY offer me a store credit... instead of pressing "cancel", they insisted that I was at fault and they will NOT be giving me any money back. After speaking with 3 people, this was the final verdict... They insisted that this line on their website "Our vegan and gluten-free options also ensure everybody gets a treat" does not mean gluten free cupcakes.... Could have fooled me, and last time I checked a cupcake is a "treat"! So, finally I would like to tell sweet revenge to keep my $25 gift card because I don't want it. Instead, I will tell everyone I know this story as they look for treats, and let them make their own decision on who they give their money to. I have had better luck with major corporation's customer service than this place, which is absolutely absurd. We're in a pandemic, and you're withholding my money. Money that could be better spent essential goods, but I decided to treat my pregnant celiac wife on her birthday to some cupcakes. Now, I had to spend another $25 elsewhere to get her a birthday treat. I don't just question the company, I question the character of the employees. I almost can't believe this is even happening, it is almost comical how bad their customer service is.

Very disappointed in this bakery. We loved going here way back when it first opened. This year we have ordered from here twice and the customer service was terrible. The part that is upsetting the most is the poor customer service came from the owner. I ordered macaroons for a shower in the summer, when I showed up to pick them up she yelled at me when I tried to walk into the store. I had a mask on, and there was no indication of what to do. No sign, no doorbell and no one outside as we stood there waiting to pick up my order. That would have been my last time going there, however the bride liked them. She however was spoken to very rudely too when she ordered desserts from her. When I returned plates after the reception she never greeted me, asked me how we enjoyed everything nothing. She walked away from me to answer a phone call as I stood there. I will never ever come back here. Nor will any of the brides friends or the Bride. There are many bakeries that are so much better. We were stuck with this one as our preferred bakery couldn’t accommodate us. Macaroons were expensive and tasteless! You will close up at this rate, sooner than later. Maybe this owner needs some schooling on how to treat customers. Can’t imagine working for her!

My family and I just bit in to our chocolate cupcakes and...OH...MY...GOODNESS! SO GOOD! I've ordered from here a few times and it's always been spectacular. If I bring home a dozen macarons I can guarantee they won't last the night. I just moved to Windsor and I'm so happy/relieved that there is this caliber of bakery in the city. I will be a regular here because, let's face it, everything is a little bit easier with a cupcake in hand. :) Thanks for the delicious treats and for continuing to bake while also keeping our health and safety in mind.
