I had worked here for 1 day for 9 hours and received no break my entire shift. I was confused on when I was able to take my break so it being my first day I didnt say anything. The proceeding night I was very disgruntled and decided I would ask another employee when it was slower if I could take my break and he agreed I was allowed. I sat outside for 13 minutes and when I came in the son of the owner, Vince, told me that "It wasn't going to work out" because I took my break and apparently I showed up at the wrong time even though I was told otherwise the day before. I also asked for a written schedule and was told that "It would be fine, you wont need one" going as far as to say that I could come in later the following days because of my residences location being distant from the shop. I did not argue with him as I know when I'm not welcome but I was never given a ROE or paid the proper amount as they handed me petty cash shorting me on my hours. I was going to be in contact with the labour board but let it go after they started treating my girlfriend so terribly that she would have crippling panic attacks just thinking about having to go to work. I'm extremley disgusted in this business' mal practice and how they treat there employees as I'm sure I just skimmed the top of this dirty rabbithole.

Donuts made the proper way! Apple fritters with actual apples, saying that since I haven't seen apples in any of Tim's fritters for 5 uears now. Boston cream with actual custard in them, They don't need to over sweeten their Donuts to hide the lack of real ingredients like Tim's and McD's. Their Donuts are worth the trip the staff is courteous. Can't speak highly enough of them

There is something very satisfying about sinking your teeth into a fresh-tasting, pillowy, donut that's got just the right balance of breadiness to sweetness. How can you give this place any less than 5 stars? One of the best places to grab some local Donuts that haven’t been pre frozen! The custard and lemon filled are our my families favourites. But don’t forget to try the chocolate, coconut or maple flavour. It’s always a challenge to decide when to stop. I’ve taken these donuts down to Kentucky for my fellow colleagues and they were definitely appreciative! The buns are also fresh when you need them. There is quite an assortment of breads and pastries to choose from. Marble Ryes, Soft Paninis of all sizes. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you are missing out!

If you really appreciate very high quality bread, donuts, cookies, bread rolls, and buns. This is your perfect stop. The staff there are the most friendly, and are more like a good family ran establishment. Not only you can purchase all your baked goods there, they have a very lovely booth inside, where you can sit down to a cup of coffee, tea or, a soft drink with your toast, donut or, which ever baked good you desire to treat yourself to. Everything there, it is always freshly baked every morning, in house, and fresh. I love treating myself there because, it reminds me of those lovely little places one could eat at from the late fifties, and sixties. Went at 3 o'clock on a Saturday. Walked in and then we got kicked out along with 3 other people and told to wait on the side of the building to be called in because they were over capacity. Would've been smart to have someone posted at the door. That wasn't a huge deal, but what really bothered us was that after waiting 15 minutes to get called in, we find out they have zero donuts today. They definitely should've had a sign posted outside since it seemed that's what everyone was waiting for. So basically a huge waste of time. That was our first time going there, and likely will be the last. Disappointing since we'd heard such good things about their donuts.

We stopped by mid-week for some rye bread, one of many types of bread they make. It's to die for! The owners, Enzo and Angie, were there and insisted we taste some of their pastries. I liked the apple strudel. And there are plenty of seats and counter space to sit down and enjoy the delicious doughnuts and hot coffee. I learned that their breads are sold at Randazzo in Macomb County, Michigan and several other Detroit area store locations.

But being snarky and talking to me like I'm 12 for daring to touch your counter innocently, made.me want to tell off your server. She wasn't the friendliest. The doughnuts were ok. Just a one off experience. People are sensitive these days, I get it. But take it easy. You sanitize the place after all. I like the presentation.

They promised us a cake tier for our wedding then didn't supply it the day of the wedding. Basically paid for overpriced cakes and cupcakes since the tier we needed to rent was unavailable. Despite the mistake the employees still gave us attitude. What a magical experience. UPDATE: Very interesting response from Stiemar. Given the no-fault response I'm obliged to mention that the cake top we ordered was placed in a box that was too small resulting in a smushed top of the cake (I'll dig around for a photo). With so many people calling Steimar prior to the wedding, you would think that someone who called would understand the stipulations on whether or not there was a cake tier. Considering the importance of a wedding cake, I'd say its way more likely that we assumed we'd have the tier and there would be no question. If this wasnt the case wed have simply bought one (which we eventually did on the day of the wedding). Long story short if you order a cake from them: get everything included in writing.

A dozen of mini panini were $4.20 the next day $4.60. That's an increase of almost 10% OVENIGHT "Covid tax"? What's the percentage of such tax? Do you send the alledged tax to CRA. Accoding to CRA there isn't such thing as "COVID TAX" Further more, the Canada Revenue Agency administers the tax laws for the Government of Canada and for most provinces and territories. It is responsible for collecting taxes and other amounts, such as: federal, provincial, and territorial income tax. goods and service tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) Please find a better explanation to the price increased. I concur that some suppliers are profiteering because of COVID19, however, it is unethical to call such behaviour "tax"

On top of all that, they are fully prepared to keep their staff and customers safe limiting the number of people in the store from the great queue outside to the strategically placed, well stocked bakery racks that get you in and out quickly.

Awesome local bakery and coffee shop. They have donuts as big as my head and if I am being honest my melon isn't the smallest. The cakes and sweets they sell are simply delicious. My first time... Staff were great. Food all looked delicious (wanted to sample everything). Building is not a large space, but there were several tables for eating-in besides the heavy volume of customers requesting take out goods. Being a bread bakery, the wonderful smells were heaven sent; sure to put a smile on your face and chase away the grumpiest of grey days. Give it an A+

Stiemar is a Windsor tradition. I tried the onion buns and doughnuts. The buns were soft moist but not fresh that day, and I liked them. The doughnuts were fresh , big, and tasty, but a bit greasy, maybe a viscosity problem or frier temp to low. I'll go back again.

It was a strange experience. I had a new, young employee assist me. She had excellent customer service and was incredibly helpful. However, her boss did not value that service and was only concerned with processing the order quickly and not assisting me in any way. She intervened and was repremanding the employee in public even though she said the employee was not in trouble. If there was an issue (not in my eyes) she should have addressed it in private after I left. She became rude with me and even demanded I not say I hoped the employee did not get in trouble for doing such a good job. She did not appreciate the gem of an employee she had. If it wasn't for that employee I would have left and taken my business elsewhere.

Their big cinnamon sugar donut is the best. Bought some donuts to freeze for the month and they thawed really well. Great accomodations made for covid with a heated tent outside for waiting in line. Try their small tiramisu cups as well

Steimar's fritters (apple, cranberry, and blueberry) are all great, but once you try their boston creme donuts, you'll never want one from anywhere else. They have a nice chocolate coating on top that tastes and feels like real chocolate, and tons of filling. I actually weighed one the last time I bought them and it was over 3 times the weight of a boston creme donut from Canada's big coffee and donut shop!

I bought their pumpernickel bread at Randazzo's in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and even though it has half the sodium, far less carbs and calories and most importantly a lack of chemicals in the ingredients as compared to the Pepperidge Farms or the big store brands, it's a superior loaf. Plus it costs about $1.50 less and is local. It will definitely be my new go-to pumpernickel.

I went at 3pm and they were out of donuts. The employees bragged about how they sell out at around 2pm everyday, when they close at 5pm btw. I'm not sure why that something to be proud of when you're a bakery and cannot meet customer demand. Very unfortunate experience.

If you are a fan of donuts you should really go and check them out. They don't put chocolate glaze on their donuts, they put chocolate on them. They fill the donuts up, like stuffed. Their donuts are bigger than Tim Horton's. With the better quality they cost a bit more, but worth it. Check them out.

I know Stiemars has been around for a long time in Windsor, this is one of Windsor’s gems. I personally don’t have a sweet tooth but I have had their baked goods over the years and the quality and taste is top notch. I recently met some people that in a very short time I have become friends with. They had lived in Mexico for many years and have now decided to make Windsor their home. Since meeting them they have invited me to their home for diner a couple times and I wanted to show my appreciation for their kindness by bringing dessert and They absolutely loved the treats I brought. The first dinner I brought some cheesecake tarts and a mixed berry pie which by the way totally impressed a non pie person. The second dinner I brought lemon bars and Irish cream bars along with a caramel apple pie and again one person wasn’t a fan of lemon bars but loved Stiemars. The caramel apple pie was amazing which I thought was spectacular and I don’t like apple pie. Stiemars has been here for 60 years and I knew why but now they do too.

Went in and all the doughnuts were not labeled properly and when I asked the lady what doughnuts they were and if she could tell me the different kinds she told me they were all labeled but clearly they were labeled wrong because they only had like 15 doughnuts made and they were condensed onto different trays! Not happy with my experience the lady was not nice at all nor was she helpful! Do not recommend

I went into this experience thinking that the donuts were going to be really good from all the reviews online. As soon as I got in the store, to my surprise there were multiple bees and a fly flying around the donuts which is disgusting. But against better judgement, I still decided to try the donuts. I got a half dozen donuts and while trying them it was abundantly clear that they were stale.
