Customer service has been taking a nosedive in the past couple of years. Last year we pre ordered 12 paczkis, go to pick them up no record of my order being taken. Then I get a call around 5:30 to come pick up my order that they allegedly had no record of. Wife on her way back from work goes to pick them up, blaks says again that they have no record of the order. Fast forward to this year, pre-order 24 paczkis again. Go to pick them up in the morning, The lady tells me I have to come back in one hour no wait 2 to 3 hours. All because their fryers weren’t working because of the cold, meanwhile other customers were getting their orders.

Friendly staff and great selection. Recommend the cronuts and bagels, but be sure to go early as they sell out FAST. The breads are always fresh, the best is the marbled rye, and the have a sale rack with 25% discounted items that are a day-old. A Windsor staple.

This is a great neighborhood bakery. Friendly, busy and delicious. They have a large variety of bread and sweets to choose from. I was very impressed with their selection. Order your specialty breads before hand Because you may miss out or how early.

Gotten worse over the last 6 months. Today down right obnoxious and uncaring staff. 9 mins waiting while they selectively took people in payment line. Joked with regulars. Ignored those at bakery counters. Stared at us and ignored completely. Two walked out then myself. Never go back!!

Unreal. If you have not stopped in to Blak's Bakery, you are doing yourself a disservice. Always fresh, always amazing. Top quality baked goods from bread, to muffins, to pastries, and so on. Plus, you're not paying "high-end" bakery prices. Everything is priced super wallet friendly! The staff are always awesome, always greet you with a smile, and can tell you everything about all of their products. I start every weekend morning with a little something from Blak's, and you should too.

This used to be the best place I knew for bread in Windsor. However, over the last few years the bread became less tasty and more inflated and full of air. Now they're starting to freeze bread, which totally defeats the purpose of buying bread at a bakery. Sure, the bread keeps well, but it won't be a good as fresh. Today an employee was rude and insulted me.

If only I could give this ZERO stars!! Sought to pre-order 12 Paczkis OF MY CHOICE, was told I could not. Had to take the 12 mixed that they put together. After horrendous service, where they served others who arrived after me, I finally got these highly touted Paczkis. They were anything but memorable. Very average. Hardly any fill. And here is the kicker......they loaded five prune amongst the dozen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Out of 8 to choose from, they loaded FIVE of the bloody PRUNE ONES that virtually nobody wants!! I won't be back. How you guys have been in business for 100 years is beyond me. Here's hoping you get it together for the next 100, or you won't be around much longer.

I have been getting paczki from Blaks for years and they were on point but today I purchased some and they were absolutely horrible. There was no filling and it was dripping grease that tasted that it had not been changed in months. It seemed very unorganized and the owner was screaming at the workers I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I started coming to this place 60 years ago when my grandpa would take me here on Saturday's. The bread was the best in the city you couldn't find a place with good service and even better products like here. Living in the county now I try to make it back here as much as I can but the quality of the bread is really hit and miss. I realized that the quality is best on Wednesday's and Thursday's and is poor on Sunday's and Monday's. I went in a couple months ago on a Wednesday it was great to see Valerie behind the counter and the Vienna was great. I went in this past Sunday and have had this problem on Monday's as well. My Vienna had a massive hole right through it. Whoever they have making the bread Sunday's and Monday's definitely needs baking lessons or should find another job because they have no idea what they're doing. So in order to get the best quality possible make sure you stop in when it isn't Sunday or Monday.

A good friend of mine recently ordered scones for a function that were of poor quality. When Blak's was questioned about the order, they claimed the scones may have come from their other bakery. There is no other bakery as Blak's is a stand alone operation. Blak's would not take ownership for their poor quality product. Lack of integrity. Buyer beware.

Was expecting a lot more from this place just based off of the reviews here. The baked goods were just average for me. I got the chocolate cinnamon buns which were pretty good but a bit dry and I didn't find the icing very chocolatey. I also got some pizza sticks which had a very odd taste and were barely filled with anything at all. I will say that the rye bread was fantastic and the prices are very reasonable! I will stick to getting bread when I go in again.

Very unprofessional! After having a hard time getting a hold of them and put on hold. When I went to pick up my order they forgot to make it and I had to waste my time waiting for them to make it. Lost my respect. Won't be going back.

I have been going here for years and will continue too. Their breads are absolutely delicious, and the lemon horns are a serious pregnancy craving for me. I'm sorry to read some of these reviews from people who expect a trendy cupcake/cake shop instead of a delicious, family-owned bakery that provides seriously great prices for homemade breads and desserts. Can't ask for much more!

I believe that Blaks Caraway Rye bread cannot be matched anywhere for it's flavour . I suggest you call your order well in advance to avoid being disappointed if they have run out . The early shoppers snap them up pretty fast. My other all time favourites are the "lunch bars" ( wonderful icing and and a great elastic chewy dough ...........must be eaten immediately for maximum pleasure) The "Onion buns" ( once you have eaten one ... Join the fan club) Unfortunately I have to drive an hour to get to Blaks . . I can' t buy large quantities between visits Cause these marvellous banked goods must be eaten while They are fresh for maximum pleasure

Clearly this place is the best at what it does, these negative reviews are from malcontent and impossible to please losers, not real customers. I had a killer reuben sandwich at the deli next door and followed it up with 2 perfect chocolate donuts and a deep fried croissant. If I were to have one complaint it's that a lazy person like myself who doesn't get out of bed before noon on a weekend can't get to the bakery before all the lunch bars are sold out. So I guess my complaint is that your goods are too tasty and they sell out too fast, but don't change a thing.

Hands down the best bakery in Windsor.......World’s best chocolate cinnamon buns. My Mom grew up down the street from Blak’s Bakery and made sure that my sister and I could enjoy the same wonderful baked goods and breads that she enjoyed as a child. We lost our mother in March of this year and I made sure that one of the last things she enjoyed was her all time favourite........a Blak’s chocolate cinnamon bun! Thanks for making sure a small thing a fond memory that won’t be forgotten.

Muffins are old cherry pie tasted like hell so gross. Nothing was homemade it was clearly pie filling and the. Muffins were cold must have been frozen. Never going back again .

Found this little bakery on google maps and boy oh boy what a delicious find!! I've only been there once but I'll definitely be back when I'm in Windsor. I bought an assortment of pastries and muffins and they were all very fresh and very tasty. It's so nice to see this kind of neighborhood bakery still in operation and from the line up to get in I'm not the only one who loves this place, must be a local favorite. Also grabbed a loaf of bread and it was awesome! Impressive!

I visit Blaks bakery once a month very friendly staff, donuts are good price is good only complaint i have is sometimes the stuff is stale, and this morning the girl that was waiting on me seemed to have a bad attitude, because i asked for a box instead of bag she kind of plopped the pastries in the box instead of placing them in the box, i gave her a dirty look after that her attitude seemed to change.
