Grew up here, my mom always went, we moved away and I remembered it, and came when I was in the area, came from new west!! AMAZING PRODUCE! No pesticides! For most of it and you can taste the difference forsure, also for tropical fruits she makes sure things are done right, papaya is grown where its supposed to be grown, tree ripened ect... also garlic sausage is from a local abbotsford farm with no nitrates or preservatives... and soooo tasty! Eggs are great too. Go in ready to have fun, they are wonderful people with great music videos on in the background.

We love to come here for our fruit & veg. Mary is a hoot and very thoughtful. We happen to be under quarantine and needed to resupply so we asked if she could take payment over the phone and arrange delivery. As luck would have it there was a customer in her store that offered to help the both of us. That's the kind of people that shop here.

Excellent quality of produce and friendly and engaging staff. There is usually a line up but that's because the quality is so high and the prices so low! Get beautiful farm fresh eggs here as well as treats from the deli. I'm in the store at least twice a week. I stopped shopping here. Mary would give me the third degree if I hadn’t been in for a while (my schedule changed and it didn’t work as well with their hours) and it just felt rude to ask me where I had been shopping if not there.

Can't believe that this store engages in overcharging constantly. Always insist on a receipt and cross reference. Many people have made the same comment. Time for a CBC sting operation.

Great prices, staff are friendly. Can take some time to get to check out if it is busy, but it is worth it. The staff keeps giving my daughter candy, so she likes going there ;)

Good service, good selection, fair prices but nothing to write home about. 3/5 stars because a number of the produce items to purchase do not have price tags which prevents me from buying them. I think sometimes the owner makes prices up on the spot. To make things more confusing the receipt you get only shows the total of what you paid, not what each item cost. The owner is often working by herself and very busy thus it is not easy to ask how much things cost.

The prices appear really good on the shelf and the cashier is friendly. I bought 1 onion and 2 sicks of celery and she tried to charge me $3.15. I only had about $1.75 in change so I pulled out my debit card. She said pay me next time. I gave her all my change and left. I heard from a close friend that the owner engages you in conversation while allegedly putting her finger on the scale when weighing items. You never get a print out of the weights. After my experience today I am convinced that what my friend told me was true. Prices appear low but always seem to scale a little higher than they should. Judge for yourself. I will NEVER shop there again. Ask for a print out of the weights and watch her closely.

Get your receipt and cross reference prices. So sad I was over charged. I thought people were crazy for saying she overcharges. Well, sadly it’s true. I’ve been going here for years and didn’t want to believe it.

I really like the freshness and care of quality of this produce. It is a very low key store, so the line up to check out can be quite slow. I have found that you have to watch the cashier regularly to ensure that the items are charged correctly or the she hasn't added the previous persons bill onto yours. He cash register is about 3 decades old and you never know what is being added on...

This place has wonderful fresh produce at a great price. Lots of organic options. The people who run Bread Box are wonderful, I am not sure of their names but they are truly honest, hard working folk who care about their customers and the community. Don't go to Save On Foods and buy overpriced, low quality produce... shop here and help keep local small businesses afloat.

The woman who runs this place is a LIAR. It is the only local store where one can buy Rempel smoked sausages. I always check with Rempel when the Bread Box last picked up fresh stock. Whether it was 4 weeks ago or last week, when I ask her when they came in the answer is always "yesterday". the last time that I bought some "yesterday" sausage it was moldy within 2 days.
