I've had a good experience with Mr Pretzels in the past, which is why I decided to pick up a pretzel after a long day of shopping.
However, I was disappointed by the attitude we received when purchasing our order. The cashier didn't even say a single word to us. When we wanted to ask for our receipt, they turned away and nodded to us to move aside. They took the receipt with them and had already started working with the next customer before we could say anything.
As the pandemic goes on, many food chains and restaurants are seemingly becoming more lenient with health protocols. Unfortunately, Mr Pretzels is not an exception. And with rising coronavirus cases, I'd have hoped that Mr Pretzels would've been more careful with handling their food. They thankfully wore their masks throughout the food preparation, but they handed us our pretzel by placing it on the counter. And even with a thin napkin shoved under it, they could've missed covering the whole bottom of our pretzel and risked our food being contaminated. I doubt those counters are cleaned often too; there were many crumbs on the surface.
As for the pretzel itself, it was delicious. We ordered the normal salted one, and it was as good as the previous pretzels I've gotten from their other locations. Does that make up for the poor treatment and risk of food contamination? Well, I think you're better off buying a pretzel from another one of their sites because while their pretzels are one of the best I've had, the poor treatment and risk of food contamination aren't worth the visit.
